I'm convinced you're wrong, the pillar of the cloud was a theophany, through which God communicated with Moses. There's a difference between interpretation and fulfillment, the NT fulfills the OT, the OT interprets the NT, not the otherway around.

God, the Word, not God, the Father, was in the cloud and also met Moses face to face. So yes, I agree, we can call that a theophany ( the visual manifestation of God to man). The NT interprets the OT, i.e., when Jesus would say you have heard it be said.....but I say unto you, He is giving the spiritual interpretation of what was written in the letter of the OT. The NT is ALSO the fulfillment of the OT, as you so rightly stated.

No he wasn't, cloud doesn't have a face, God was talking to Moses through the cloud.

Fulfillment of the OT IS interpretation of the NT, Jesus's profile was set up in the OT, not church doctrines or traditions.

We grow strong in spirit by our daily intake of sound biblical teachings.
Erroneous teachings = junk food.

By age twelve Jesus was already powerful in his human spirit!
Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began
looking for him among their relatives and friends. When they did not find him,
they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. After three days they found him in
the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them
questions. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers."
Luke 2:44-47

Jesus as a boy grew strong in his human spirit!

Keep in mind:
When Adam ate he did not drop dead physically,
though he was told he would die in the day he ate.

Adam died 'spiritually.'

.....
While I won't cherry pick you post as you do mine, yes, Jesus waxed strong in spirit by reading, meditating and obeying the logos Word of God. He was made of " quick understanding " so He amazed those who thought they knew the word, with his wisdom at such an early age. Yes, Adam didn't drop dead the day he partook of the forbidden fruit and yes he died, or was deadened, spiritually that day, he still died that day! A thousand years is as a day to God, and Adam died when he was 930 yrs. old, still short of Gods', day as He counts them. When the Bible states that God breathed the breath ( nesh-aw- maw Heb. 5397, look it up in Strong's ) into Adam that breath of life included soul AND spirit. God is no respecter of persons and what He breathed into Adam in procreation He also breathed into all of living mankind, soul AND spirit. When we receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior our spirits, which beforehand were deadened, are then " quickened " ( regenerated, revived ) to receive from the Spirit of God.

I have a question, if you don't mind. How long have you been part of the Body of Christ?

Long enough to know that there's no "spiritual interpretation", the bible is interpretated by itself and validated by reality. "Spiritual interpretation" is a red flag of heresy.

I never said anything about a cloud having a face ( that's ridiculous), I said (and you KNOW I said) that God, the Word, was IN the cloud. So you agree that interpretation AND fulfillment were accomplished in the NT, right?

I've lost count of the many tags you have tried to put on me, while I have put none on you, but that's okay, when you don't have solid biblical reasoning to fall back on, name calling is the next step. Jesus DID spiritually interpret what was written in the OT. The Pharisees and Sadducees were going by the letter of the law and Jesus gave them the spiritual interpretations of those scriptures. You don't understand that? Again, How long, Lovette, have you been part of the Body of Christ? ( I'm assuming you are).

We discussed this before, you talking with somebody on Zoom, as long as that person is not in the computer, but in from his own computer, God is not in the cloud, but on his throne in heaven.

No, I don't agree. NT only fulfills the OT, and that fulfilment is actually the interpretation of the NT with the OT. When Jesus fulfilled something, such as his crucifixion on Passover, it was the original text about Passover in Ex 12, Lev 23 and Deut. 16 that interpret his crucifixion, not the other way around.

Jesus gave no "spiritual interpretation" of the law, he called out the Pharisees' MISinterpretations, hypocrisies and added human traditions which God didn't give, which has been prevalent in church history that has discredited many churches; for example, the Pharisees frequently divorced and remarriaged in order to avoid adultery, they were the original inventors and practitioners of "no fault divorce“, by doing so they've made marriage meaningless by having perverted it into legalized fornication, which has totally defeated the purpose of marriage; and then they exploited the divorce law to justify their act. When they confronted Jesus on that, what Jesus taught was a reminder of the original purpose - of marrige institution and the divorce law, He didn't give any "spiritual interpretation," he was calling them out, he was schooling them "have you not read?" ... as the original AUTHOR of the Scripture! Don't you understand that?

And as I told you, long enough to understand Lord Jesus came to FULFILL the scripture through leading by his personal example, not abolish, pervert or "spiritualize" the scripture.

In case you still don't get it, when you interpret the OT with the NT, and also the NT with the OT, you know what that's called? Not biblical reasoning, but circular reasoning.

In Genesis 18 we find out that what appeared to be three men appearing to Abraham in front of his tent, at least two turned out to be angels. Note... they ate food that Abraham set before them. They had physical form.

Note! Verses22-23.

The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the Lord.
Then Abraham approached him and said: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked?

The Lord took on human form!

And, also keep in mind....

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people
have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Hebrew 13:2

Who was Abraham talking with -face to face - in Genesis 18:22-23?

It's there!
So that means, God wants us to think about it!

Prior to the Incarnation God appeared to men as a man as the Angel of Jehovah.
And, it is good to note that accounts of the appearances of The Angel of Jehovah stopped since the Incarnation.

Dare to think it!

Grace and peace ..............

The Hebrew does not simply say....

"You will surely die."
It gets translated that way often in a traditional take on what the Hebrew states.

It actually says...
"In dying you shall die."

To mean?
Two deaths.
In dying 'spiritually'...
You shall die, as a result, physically.

To know that?
Is why I love my pastor's dedication for his study and teaching from the Hebrew and Greek.
And, unlike most churches?
He taught exegetically six nights a week. (hence = our daily bread)

God will provide for those who simply do not seek for something to say.
But, to know... why something is so.

There are TREASURES which are hidden to be dug out from the original languages that the Bible was written in!

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they
may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know
the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:2-3

You know what, how about we end this pointless, frustrating rabble with God's own words? While there seems to be contradiction between Ex. 33:11 and 33:20, what settles this contradiction is not your opinion or mine, but 33:14 - "And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” That's what the cloud was, God's PRESENCE in visible form, without anybody inside it, just God's presence in his dwelling place, the tabernacle of meeting.

Two deaths.

Or how about the law of entropy? A slow deteriorating process toward only ONE final endpoint of death?

God also talked through a donkey to reprimand Balaam, does that make God a donkey?

The donkey spoke. Not God... - (note feminine gender0.
Then the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam,
“What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?” Numbers 22:28

" Adonai APPEARED in the Tent IN a pillar of cloud, and the pillar of cloud stood over the opening of the Tent." Tree of Life,( Messianic version of scripture ), Deut. 31: 15. I have been telling you, over and over that God was IN the cloud. God didn't speak thru the cloud He spoke IN the cloud, in Person. Do you believe in the scriptures or is that STILL your story and you're sticking to it? Yes, God, the Father, was on His throne but it was God, the Word, who was IN the cloud.

Jesus gave the spiritual interpretation when He said BUT I say unto you..... He wasn't abolishing the law but giving spiritual interpretation of the intent of it. His teaching and life is the ultimate fulfillment of the laws spiritual intent.

I have been telling you over and over that this was a THEOphany, i.e. God manifested in a visible form. He did speak THROUGH the cloud, not in the cloud, as long as He sits on his throne in heaven, Ps. 2. I do believe in the scripture, I don't believe in your "spiritual" interpretation.

He didn't, you did. Jesus, the author of the law, was rebuking the Pharisees' misinterpretation, hypocrisy and added doctrines.
