I was thinking on this topic that ok in the secular, non believing world, when men get together they can be pretty crude. And so when a woman sits in on their talk they kinda know they have to stop swearing and talking rubbish..just out of respect, well how much more for believers?

As for unbelieving women well yea they can gossip and be catty. But believing women are no different from beleving men in the spritual conversations they have. Thats all. So i dont see any need for division, or segregation by gender for this in church and other christian activities. As we are looking and thinking and walking by the spirit, not the flesh.

Like you it seems, as if read you actually my OP Im not being contentious, am simply asking why.

If am being contentious is only because I am contending for the faith once delivered to the saints.

Note that it does say the SAINTS. Not just men, not just women, not brothers only, not sisters only, the saints. The body of Christ. Corinthians tells us that we cant say we dont need each other. The eye cat say, I dont need you you a toe. Ok, men and women have different body parts. But if we are one body...we cant say we dont need each other even if we different!!!! Even if you marry, the husband has power over the body of the wife and the wife over her husband why because when married they are ONE flesh. Not two.

Amen

Personally part of the difficulty is the first century reformation seems to be of misrepresentation or ignored as to what it performed (Men and Women's Lib). Such as the great tribulation for the outward Jews. The Jew's had lost their identity as a temporal position to be used in representing the word of God in types and shadows until the time of reformation. . It was like no other tribulation before or ever again. One demonstration could be referenced to the "cross" for Christians. It has much to do with flesh of a Jew that was used in a parables for the time then present, prior to the reformation.

I presume it is one of the reasons men shy from relating to the first century reformation and the one time use of the flesh of a Jew in parables. This is because they do not beleive the idea of replacement theology that other accuse them of. . Which they think is the gentile replacing the inward born again Jews and not the new name God name His people in Acts.

When the veil was torn from top to bottom, men and woman were restored to the new testament order .Where men and woman, Jew and Gentile as one body could all be on the same level.

Prior when there were kings in Israel before the first century reformation. There werre multiple levels separated by a high wall between the men participating in the ceremonies, and the unseen woman unheard of, and another wall between the gentile court .

The walls came tumbling down as God elevated woman to her equal place with man and a new type of ceremonial law was introduced. Revealing to us the promise of Joel had been made complete. The kingdom is restored to another time period as that of Judges . And God again began using women like Deborah to deliver men the gospel the faith of God by which man can belive as a amcj hor to thire soul
Acts 2:16-17 King James Version (KJV) For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

The new testament ordinance as a ceremonial law which is two part (one..bread with the blood of grapes sometimes called wine and (2) glory covering or un-covering) as a sign to the angels it is a emblem to the equally of men and woman alike as mankind, created in the image of God who holds out the gospel through a kingdom of priests. The new testament ceremonial law as a shadow is a representative glory to the world Lifted up woman and men also lifted up as one. .

I would think the reformation is here. Prophecy as it is written is doing its living work of reforming the hearts of men .

Today the way I understand that kind of glory that brought man and woman together to represent the unseen glory of God as our source of faith . It has all been but removed . My home church were are heard the gospel has a beautiful way of expressing that during there breaking of bread with covering ceremony . That they have once a week.

In Christianity there is no difference between man or woman neither Jew or gentile. I would think if we are a new creation we are to know no man after the flesh (what they eyes see) even Christ even though some did know him that way. we know him that way no more. Be careful on how we interpret the parables but do not fear improperly when searching search them out a person could find a pearl .

As one body we represent it to the world by the symbols God has assigned. I would suggest don't throw out signwater with that baby they point to .

Most denominations today have dismissed the beautiful way God has given us as a representative glory of His Holy unseen place.. But like all shadows like the Sabbath ceremonial law. It is not something we can judge each other with as some sort of sign gift ( I saw you therefore I judge you, or I did not see you and therefore judge) .They as shadows do not represent our glory. We have no glory to offer each other, other than that which he has freely given as representations .

His glory departed when he first sensed pride in the heart of his high messenger Satan …..saying in his heart "I will be like the most high , I will rise to the cloud of His presence". Immediately the glory was gone and the light that hid their nakedness no longer concealed it.

Mankind performing a work of their own fleshly minds. Took a temporal covering (leaf) to cover another .temporal covering .... their own corrupted flesh... the glory of God did not return.

The new testament ordinance simply brings that back which was hid in the garden, a opportunity as a representative glory to express Him not seen . He will be the light in the new order of the bride. .There will be no night represented by the flesh

Yea I'm still asking why and some people just say men and women are different. For sure, but in Christ, aren't was meant to be as one?

I read over this entire thread and nobody seemed to have any answers. They just sort of shrug their shoulders and blather on but don't actually address the issue. Isn't this unnessary division in the body of Christ? Sure maybe Noah and his sons went into the ark, followed by his wife and his sons wives...but they still all went to the ark together. And also that was in the OT, I thought Jesus came to set us free not divide us.

Or is there an elephant in the room I am not seeing? Why aren't women equal with men and vice versa? WHY????

And surely if same-sex marriages are so frowned upon in Christianity, why do they still separate bible studies into different genders, so those of the same sex only interact with each other. How is ANYBODY supposed to find a mate, if they all go to separate things divided by gender??

Are there instances in the Bible where the women and men are spearated when fellowshipping.
Just wondering, as Im a bit weary of all these christian women groups, its like, ok I get that maybe women need to have their own groups for certain things, but arent we meant to be one in Christ and not always separated into male and female.

Sometimes sisters actually want to hang out with their brothers too. And wont both be richer for it?
When it comes to Church it is for all people and no divisions.

But I would think it is not wrong for women to fellowship with each other if they want.

If I am with 4 men hanging out am I supposed to alert women and say come.

We can hang out with whoever we want outside the Church.

Are we supposed to make it an open invitation to include people to join our fellowship outside of Church.

They have a singles ministry and should the married people say hey why can't we join.

If the woman want to fellowship do they have to invite the men.

But if women start a Church and say women only or start a group and say women are superior to men that would be wrong.

Galationsc3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

A man and woman are equal in the Lord.

A Church may have a group for women to fellowship for they have things in common but that does not mean they think they are inferior.

Church is more than fellowship.

The women might of initiated the group not that they were pushed to the side.

You are “weary” of Christian women groups? How are they wearying you?

Women often have different interests and orientations than men. There is nothing wrong with having women’s groups and men’s groups.

This does not seem to be an issue to make a big deal out of. I am sure you can find mixed gender groups to attend.

According to the Word, in the Eyes of God. there is no distinction between a man and a woman.
Also, come the resurrection, there will be no giving of anyone in marriage for we shall all be made like our Savior and live forever.
We will not be resurrected in flesh, rather we shall be in a glorified body. ... .... ... more, but overlooked by so many.

No, there is no distinction between a male or female in Christ. Meaning, we are spiritually equal.

But there is a distinction in nature. For one thing, their genitals are different, and so forth.

Galatians 3:28

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Sometimes, things are introduced into the church, not for Godly reasons, but to make the church more like the world. This one - unnecessary separation of women and men - is done in my view for power, and is not from God. I'm not saying the ones who are running these things - e.g. men's and women's bible studies - necessarily know. They are probably doing it because everyone else is doing it. But ultimately, division reduces power, and the power of the church is reduced as a result. You are right to question it.

God has created us women for different purposes and given us gifts to strengthen each other and our husbands and to raise our children. For the single or widowed women we have been blessed with many gifts!! To encourage other women and build each other up in the faith. I know from experience that men and women have weaknesses(struggling with sin) and need to be strengthened in those areas so the women’s and men’s Bible studies and retreats can benefit us by having time apart so we can come together and fellowship, admonishing one another in the faith and building each other up in the body of Christ. We also can be tested by trials that the Lord allows us to go through for our strengthening so we can be better witnesses for Him. Older women teaching the younger women in the faith to love their husbands and children and to pray for one another. Men have their gifts as men and women have their gifts as women. Equipped differently but just as important! 🩷🩵🩷🩵🙌🩵🩷🩵🩷

Am not talking about separate seating I mean whole separate bible studies. Where its only one gender.

I have never witnessed a church that separated all the seating for a service. The only division there is when the children go off to sunday school.
I’ve seen separate seating online with an all black church. The pastor was preaching some false teachings though. Something about head coverings and women being quiet unless spoken to. My neighbor was apart of that online church community and she always wore long dresses and a head covering. I questioned her pastor’s views on baptism because she told me I wasn’t saved since I was many baptized correctly. She told me not to question him and not to touch God’s anointed one! She also wouldn’t let anyone pray over her because we didn’t wear a head covering while praying. She died of cancer. I don’t believe she got treatment at all. 💔

I stopped shrugging sometime back. IMO, and in fundamental clarity, we are NOT divided but all one as the Apostle put it.
Why aren't women equal with men and vice versa? WHY????
To me, we must ask ourselves to answer the remaining question; is that unity the end or the beginning of the related details?

I think neither. I prefer nothing over another while enjoying my Christian liberty to choose. Yes, I can walk away from 1Cor 14:37 "commands" that separate if an assembly will not tolerate it. Conversely, I can joyfully embrace the doctrinal soundness (Luke 2:36) of any vocal prophetess of the Lord.

Lol I recall of old. the woman had their own basket of money
One I remember for each tribe and One basket for All the woman
13 baskets total .just my wording but thing is that of Old passed down .

Hmm been looking more into this and 1 Peter 3:1-7

Is talking about husbands and wives being TOGETHER not separated out. Esp verse 7. So am not sure why all these christian women bible study groups, and many of these women are not all single, many are married, so while these women are studying the bible their husbands are at home and NOT studying the bible with them.

??

Most Al women have the gift of life embedded, like The Lord they have a better view in creation ,in my own view but sure more would agree some bare scars like Jesus

I like the idea of generational bible studies. Have you heard of those?
A generational (or multigenerational) Bible study is a group study intentionally designed to include people from different age groups—children, teens, young adults, parents, and older adults—studying the same biblical passage or theme together. Its goal is to encourage mutual learning, relationship-building, and spiritual formation across life stages rather than separating participants by age.

Key features

  • Shared curriculum: one passage or theme adaptable for all ages.
  • Age-appropriate entry points: activities/questions tailored for kids, teens, adults.
  • Interaction across ages: mixed small groups, mentoring/pairing, or whole-group discussion with breakoutoptions.
  • Focus on relationships: intentional time for elders to share experience and younger people to ask questions.
  • Flexible formats: one-hour gatherings, family devotions, retreats, or ongoing semester courses.
Practical structure (example 60–75 min)

  1. Welcome & worship (10 min) — simple song or prayer everyone can join.
  2. Large-group reading (5 min) — read passage aloud with multiple readers/voices.
  3. Mixed-age icebreaker (5 min) — quick activity connecting life experience to the passage.
  4. Breakout by age or family pairs (20 min) — age-tailored discussion prompts/activities.
  5. Cross-age sharing (15 min) — groups report back; elders/teens share insights or questions.
  6. Application & prayer (5–10 min) — concrete next steps for different life stages; group prayer.
Discussion prompt examples (same passage adapted)

  • Kids: "What happened first? Who is your favorite person in the story?"
  • Teens: "What choice did the character make? How would you respond?"
  • Adults: "What cultural/ethical issues does this passage raise for our family/church?"
  • Older adults: "How has your understanding of this passage changed over your life?"
Benefits

  • Models discipleship across generations.
  • Strengthens family and church unity.
  • Offers richer perspectives and practical wisdom.
  • Helps pass faith traditions and practices to younger generations.
Quick tips to start

  • Pick one passage or theme for a month.
  • Prepare 2–3 layered questions per prompt (child → teen → adult).
  • Train facilitators to include quieter ages and to summarize simply.
  • Use multisensory elements (object lessons, visuals, songs) for children.
  • Evaluate after 4–6 sessions and adjust timing or groupings.

Women some are wise and do thing with the Lord in silence. Some call it intercessory.Secret only The Lord is Glorified
Should now add, obey the husband cus other women set a snare to the allow the flesh vision sight over take .
So the husband job to keep inline in God. Be as Sara talk to husband don't follow a temptation from other women .at same time husband can then talk to other men of God get the wifes straight short replys are best tho should cover most of what needed to actually put in effect without being overwhelmed

This does not seem to be an issue to make a big deal out of. I am sure you can find mixed gender groups to attend.
I've been in both, just saying the women's only ones are a bit boring.
I think it's better to be mixed, but some churches don't offer that, plus they stick you in women's groups or invite you, but its kind of rude to not go if they invite you, although you learn to say no after a while.

I think there is a huge gender divide thats been sort of a hold over from tradition in my country, and that's maybe where it comes from. Men didn't like women mixing with them so we got left out of a lot of things. I was surprised to learn this happened in church as well, which I thought was going to be more inclusive than the world would be.

I don't think women have different interests and orientations than men. I think its more of, men actually don't want women interested in the same things they are interested in, and actively exclude them from a lot of things. So women had to make their own groups. It just seems strange to me. I grew up in a time when girls were told 'we can do anything' only to find out it wasn't the case. You are not allowed to join the 'old boys club' cos they actively want to keep the girls out.

So I'm like huh? How silly to be told one thing, and yet people do the exact opposite.
