Humans are both souls and spiritual beings,
They are souls but not spiritual beings until they are born again.
Humans are both souls and spiritual beings,
What is your understanding of the spiritual realm and spiritual entities, and can you support it with evidence outside of scripture? Remember, scripture itself tells us that the universe itself reveals the truth about God, and by implication spirit as God is a spirit. They are souls but not spiritual beings until they are born again.
1 Corinthians 2:14 states that unspiritual people cannot accept or understand the truths of God's Spirit because they appear foolish to them. What is your understanding of the spiritual realm and spiritual entities, and can you support it with evidence outside of scripture? For all you freakin weirdos who get stuck on an erroneous idea and refuse to let go?
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7
What the heck is wrong with you?
Who hypnotized you? Galatians 3:1
Angels are spirit beings.
Man is a soul being.
Now go stupid on that?
Shameful.
......
Death is not the end of existence. Man needs to be born again in order to receive a new, live spirit. The human spirit is mentioned 387 times in the OT. Only a relatively few people were born again. Yet it is clear that fallen man has a spirit. When Adam and Eve ate... they died.
'Spiritually.'
For as far as physically?
They were still running around gathering fig leaves.
Some are not seeing that distinction yet.
God intended for all souls to be spiritual beings.
The fall of Adam altered that to being only a potential.
Now all souls need to be born again to be made spiritual.
Otherwise? Why should man need to be born again for?
You follow modern assumptions. The ancient Greeks knew far more than you seem to want to give them credit for when you follow this "Word-studies". This guide is making assumptions to avoid certain problems and you blindly follow them.1 Corinthians 2:14 states that unspiritual people cannot accept or understand the truths of God's Spirit because they appear foolish to them.
"Natural man" in the Greek means - "soulish man.' Having only a soul. Psuchikos

5591 psyxikós (an adjective, derived from 5590 /psyxḗ, "soul, natural identity") – properly, soulish, i.e. what is natural, as it relates to physical (tangible) life alone (i.e. apart from God's inworking of faith).
5591 /psyxikós ("natural") typically describes the natural ("lower") aspect of humanity, i.e. behavior that is "more of earth (carnality) than heaven." 5591 (psyxikós) then sometimes stands in contrast to 4152 /pneumatikós ("spiritual") – the higher, spiritual aspect of humanity that develops through faith (4102 /pístis)

Every human is born with a spirit. It is dead to God. So no, man is not only a soul. However, the unsaved live out of the natural life of the soul. Too many Christians likewise do not know the difference between the spirit and the soul, and that leads to error.1 Corinthians 2:14 states that unspiritual people cannot accept or understand the truths of God's Spirit because they appear foolish to them.

Depends on what you mean by spiritual. Adam was created with a spirit. He was created in the image of God and God is Spirit. The spirit is the part of man that died. Death is not the end of existence. It is separation from God.They are souls but not spiritual beings until they are born again.
You defend tradition very well, but how are you on dealing with questions that tradition does not like? Can you provide answers to questions that remain consistent with scripture? We are born dead in our sin Eph.2:1 We were not intellectually/emotionally dead, we were conscious and had a conscience and could make volitional choices, all functions of the soul as that is what we are in essence Gen.2:7 Nor we were physically dead which only leaves our spiritual life as being dead. Having no spiritual life is what cut us off from God and unable to connect and why we had to be born of the Spirit. Jn.3:6
Keep in mind the issue is human beings, not the spiritual realm in general so not sure why you are going down that road. We are not spiritual creatures unless we are born of the Spirit. How can you be spiritual with no spiritual birth?
The universe does not tell us the nature of spirit and we would not know God is a spirit if it were not for the scriptures.
I dare anyone to define spirit other than with impersonal qualities like invisible. The universe tells us very little about God other than He is eternal power and His Divine nature. The Word wasted his time becoming flesh if all we needed was the natural creation to understand God and the nature of humanity.
Do you not understand plain English? Hebrews 4:12 speaks of dividing soul and spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 speaks of spirit, soul and body. Man is made in God's image. I can assure you that God is not soul. (John 4:24).
And where is scripture does it state that man lost God's image as opposed to merely corrupting it?Man was made in God's image.....
Then?
Adam fell.
Things changed from that point on.
And where is scripture does it state that man lost God's image as opposed to merely corrupting it?
So are you equating a human spirit with the Holy Spirit? The Image is found in the soul.
A soul that lives in God.
Our soul was still created in His image.
But, our function of our soul ceased being as God had created the original soul to be.
The original man was trichotomous. Body, soul, and human spirit.
When Adam fell, man became dichotomous. Body and soul.
To be restored to God's image as God created man to be, requires body, soul, and through regeneration - a human spirit.
Adam before he fell did not have the indwelling Holy Spirit. That only started with the New Creation in Christ.
You skips this post why?For you were continually wandering like sheep, but now you have come back
to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
1 Peter 2:25
You skiped this post why??And so it is written: “The first man Adam was made a living soul.” The last Adam was made a quickening Spirit.
Jesus is the last Adam.
Unlike the first Adam, Jesus is BOTH man and God in union.
God is spirit.... That is why Jesus alone is the quickening Spirit.
Christians are not both God and man in union. We are not God.
Being not God, we are not a quickening Spirit.
We are quickened by the Lord who is the quickening Spirit of our soul.
You skiped this post why??
Ephesians 2:1: "And You hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins...

Why This Fits Your Description:Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind [soul] striving together for the faith of the gospel;" (Philippians 1:27, KJV)
You changed it ,im still on trackYou say a lot of unrelated stuff....
Address and deal with what I actually said, please.
Can you even understand what was said?
