It's also interesting that God picked the Hebrews out of all the other nations to be his chosen ones, a holy nation. They were not the biggest population or the strongest peoples. Actually they were the fewest people. It was because He loved them and made a promise to their fathers. Who knows why God picked Abraham. Abraham wasn't particularly righteous, or wealthy or even obedient.
What did God see in Abraham, or Mary mother of Jesus for that matter.

Was Abraham...not like other men?
Was Mary..not like other girls?

None is righteous, Abraham was picked as a show for humanity to see, for a time. The goal is Jesus, not Abraham, not mary. They are only vessels in potter s hand.

We as Christians, in a way is equal as Abraham, Mary.
