I will live to carry your compassion, to love a world that's broken, to be your hands and feet. And I will live this life that I've been given to go beyond religion to see the world be changed by the power of your name.

Lets stop lying to ourselves and pretending that this movement represents 99% of the population. Just because I put 99% on a sign does not mean that the signs views opinions and beliefs are mine as well. They are not a majority. They are the fringe. They are not the least of our world, though they are perhaps the loudest. I think its almost a cultural thing to want to "speak out" on behalf of people who support class warfare, as if social justice is some kind of a virtue.

As for "green" being against Govt subsidies.... I'm looking at you Solyndra, Ethanol, PZEV.

I feel as though because I am a poor scraping college student, that my tax status has placed me in a position where it is assumed that I should agree with these people. The difference is that I do not want ANYTHING from ANYONE for free. I work 2 jobs for under the table money, where minimum wage would seem like a luxury. I am young and healthy I do not need health insurance, though my school requires that I have some form of coverage. I spent 6 years in the military working so that I could pay for my college education. I'm not asking for equality, because equality is not a virtue. I'm asking for the opportunity and the freedom to do whatever I set my hand to do.

I will not take to the streets to demand fairness. The world is not a fair or equal place. People will be rich, people will be poor. I am to help the poor out of my own generosity and charity, not by robbing the rich. The purpose of the government is not to play Robin Hood with its citizens wealth. I am poor here but, by the same measure that I could scream and yell about not making 20$ an hour or not having free dental, I could have people standing outside of my apartment screaming that I am rich because they have nothing to eat and I have an iPod and a Laptop and clean hot water. I am the 1% percent because I have not given enough.

It is not my place to scream about spending other people's money to help the poor. I give the poor money, that is fine but, they cannot create a job. When the money runs out they will be poor again. The poor need the ability to work for themselves, like I do. But the poor cannot employ the poor. Even the moderately not-as-poor cannot afford to employ the poor, because they cannot afford to pay for health insurance.

Confucius say, "Never impose on others what you would not choose for yourself."

Confucius say, "Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance."

Confucius say, "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do."

Confucius say, "Give son a fish, and son have dinner. Teach son to fish, and son have dinner all his life."

There is NO 1% !

THE 'rich' are a whole lot more than ONE PERCENT.

Class income structure :

The rich classses are these THREE:

Billionaires - 242 people , so, .01 something percent of incomes are of this richest class. Not much.

Millionaires - idk, can we say '9 or 10% of america? I think we can , and, that # molts yearly more.

Joe The Plummers 10% ($250,000 incomes or down to $100,000, IF marrieds have no kids)

The poor classes, hence, of O.W.S., are following TWO classes:

Average Joes 20% ($80,000 for family of our and have house half paid for and did the 4% refi thang)

*Green, why u speaking with a twang? Cuz i wanna get all the Southern folk reading to feel at home as bisquits and gravy heaped in a massive quantity of gruts :D

Yu, that's it, LOL, snackersmommy would, fer on1, appreciate my humuh hee-ir

Unaverage Joes ($60,0000 or so for family of 4 , living paycheck to paycheck and 7/8 mortgage left to pay otra of $125,000 loan at 7% and not fannie and not freddie loan so unable to refi it) - 35% of USA pop.

Below Average Joes - rent an apartment or house, def do not own it and make $40,000 as a married with 2 kids)

Now, who do you think is the 99% ?

LOL, there is NO 99% is there. There are two classes , as you out it, liam: the haves and the have nots.

Now, this may sound crude, and, it is definitely a seperation of class statement based on one of my favorite movies. Ah, nah, I won't say it, that would be un-nice .

So, the 99% is a WRONG percent because the richies and the rich and the Joe the plummers AND average Joes have ALL upped their incomes in this recession, from doing the 6% to 4% refi thang , etc.

The O.W.S. represents the Below Average Joes and Average Joes, that's 60%

C'mon, O.W.S., get it right , have one of the VERY few white collar folk get a blue Sharpie and change your signs !

YOU are the 60% !

Ok, and, man, green, God bless ya and I don't always agree with ya but, Yeah, to say 99% need emergency change in América is a fallacy, i liked what you said of lower classes, just TWO classses are like getting nothing for money and , Yeah, in dire straits NOW.

GREEN: Yeah, the Lord leads.

.......
Ok, folks, so now that I've helped get the OWS movement more percentile truthful (dumb blue collars)
, i will get to what Confucious says as opposed to what Jesus says.

Ooh, green, this is gonna be good, real good, huh, huh?

Ok, it might be good...the Lord leads .

Taken advice by sagely advice, I will say:

Jesus says: Never impose on others what is not led from my Father to impose (Ex:moneychangers)

Jesus says: Real knowledge is attained from the word or God

Jesus says: Our greatest glory is in glorifying Him

Jesus says: Give a man a fish and he has eaten one fish, teach a man to fish and he eats as long as I continúe to provide fish .

I agree about focusing on Jesus, on his example, he healed the sick, cared for people etc...
I don't personally think these protests are worthwhile, as I've previously stated.

Your statement that these things are not relevant to Christians strikes me as ridiculous, like I said the issues being protested are fundamental issues about how society cares for all it's people, regardless of particular views about the specific nature of the protests the notion that the issues involved do not concern Christians is something I will never be convinced of.

If we don't to a point focus on 'worldy things' we will never deal with the issues that trouble society, the way forward is not to bury oursleves in the bible but to deal with worldy issues from a Christian foundation.
The only thing relevant to Christians are the words of Jesus. Christians ought to obey his words.

Jesus is the Christian foundation, nothing else. No one else.

May Jesus bless you.

I don't buy the stats either, other than the tax brackets. I think we've all seen stats/polls skewed to mean things that were never intended, particularly by politicians and interest groups.

Your military service has most certainly entitled you to receive assistance with your education, and I'm glad you are going after what you want. Things mean more when we earn/sacrifice for them, don't they? :)

I don't see how any of your statements address my statements.
If you believe our duty as Christians ends at our own personal beliefs and that we have no duty to help others, deal with issues in society or to at least try and make the world a better place then you and I will never agree, so best we stop discussing it.

So Nazism has made it to the US finally. And among the black population among all people. If anyone should be against hatred in all forms it is the black population in the US after hundreds of years of slavery and their struggle for equal rights. That teacher should be ashamed of herself. The Jews are not responsible for the current situation. Greed is responsible for it.

Frankly it scares me that the land of the free is now the home of hate. I wonder who is next on their list of bad guys. Handicapped? Gypsies? perhaps Christians?????

Don't fool yourself. Nazism has been here all along. Ever hear of the Ku Klux Klan? They hated the Jews before Hitler was even born.

I totally agree. Minorities should band together against all forms of hatred, all "isms." Sadly, what happens is the rich and powerful have this uncanny ability to turn the small groups against each other. It's like the master who puts out a dog bowl with not enough scraps, the dogs turn on each other for what few scraps there are, rather than attacking the master for not providing enough food in the first place.

FWIW, this woman does NOT represent OWS. OWS recognizes that it is not "the Jews" who are the enemy, or any particular group of people, but the system itself. Sure, there are Jews in the system. There are also Christians, Muslims, atheists, and Wiccans. There are whites, blacks, Latino(a)s, Asians, every color of the rainbow in all areas of the system, though it's mostly whites in power.

Frankly it scares me that the land of the free is now the home of hate. I wonder who is next on their list of bad guys. Handicapped? Gypsies? perhaps Christians?????
As I said, the US has been this way for hundreds of years. This is nothing new. And Christians are not in danger of being targets yet for some time, as they are still the majority. At least Protestants. Catholics have been targets, and often still are. Gays are targets. Differently-abled persons are targets. Fat people are targets. (Although with 20% of the population now being obese, and rising, maybe next it will be skinny people.) It gets worse when the economy is worse. See dog analogy above. That's why Hitler was able to rise to power.

I'm glad you recognize it for what it is, though. The more people who recognize it, the better.

Your duty as a Christian is to obey Jesus. Jesus has the words of eternal life. He is the way, truth, and the life.

This is man's way and man's truth and a man's life, not that of Jesus.

It is good to care for poor and sick and widows, this is good. But the gospel of Jesus is the only power unto salvation. Not these protests.

May Jesus bless you

The sanctified holocaust religion attesting the Jews as the historical exclusive victims is a falsehood and twisting of history if you like it or not.
Rather they are perpetrators and history has been falsified cause they are the main part of the elitists.
All of them? Of cause not!

I do not need to be reminded of my Christian duty, nor have I given you any reason to believe I do, and if I had, you could have said what you did in a less condescending manner.

As I have previosuly stated I do not agree with these protests, so your continued attempt to tell me they are wrong is pointless.

You sign all your posts with 'May Jesus Bless You', maybe consider addressing the way you speak to people before you type that down, it's sadly at odds with the tone of a lot of what you say.

Minorities should band together against all forms of hatred.... so as to hate whatever is left?

So I guess MY white protestant-ism has by default placed me in a position where my voice and opinion no longer matter. Why can't we just ignore race creed color and everything else.

Lets just call people people. Its worked for the Military. Its worked for the Biggest Loser. Instead of making OWS an affirmative action style protest, why don't we call Americans Americans.
