That the earth is only 6 or 7,000 years old is not a given. I agree that the current creation is about that time scale. However, God's word implies that there was a creation prior to Genesis 1:2. It's known as Gap theory or the pre-Adamic creation. One proponent is Larry Ollison, I've watched his videos on the subject. Watchman Nee also spoke about this in His book, "The Mystery of Creation". It answers some difficult questions about the age of the earth and why it appears to be older than 7,000 years.

I do not believe in billions of years or even millions. However, the reality is that no one can prove the past because it is all circumstantial evidence. And it has no bearing on salvation. All I will say is that you can be born again and believe in a relatively old earth.​

Do you not know that there are many kinds of light? God is light. He also created light. God is not His creation. I have lights in every room of my home. It's not God shining out of them. God created the sun and the sun gives light. God is not the sun. No, 1 John 1:5 is not a lie. Your issue is a lack of logic and reason.

Genesis 1 has this to say:

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness He called “night.”

And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to distinguish between the day and the night, and let them be signs to mark the seasons and days and years. And let them serve as lights in the expanse of the sky to shine upon the earth.” And it was so.

God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night. And He made the stars as well.

God set these lights in the expanse of the sky to shine upon the earth, to preside over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

Your reasoning says that God said, "Let there be God". God did not make Himself.

I can accept that God created the present creation in 6 days. I have no reason to doubt the Genesis account. That is one of many reasons why the old earth/new creation point of view makes sense to me.

Light is both wave and particle, isn't that amazing?

We, human also is both particle and wave, equally amazing.

It is call wave particle duality.

And you accept this just like NightTwister did? By saying that this (our reality) is some sort of illusion? I kinda accept that too actually.

No, it's not an illusion. I do not believe Genesis to be some kind of allegory either. The "gap theory" explains how it is possible to reconcile the apparent old earth with the Genesis account.

I feel like you and i will go in circles like we did in that OSAS discussion a long time ago. You say one thing and then you want to disagree with yourself.
