Hello Kitty bakes cakes and pies, just like CarriePie. Kuromi brews potions in her pumpkin house in the spooky swamp.

You know how we've mentioned going to Pigeon Forge, TN -- that was a lot like Vegas (a place designed solely for tourism,) but had things we were actually interested in seeing (like an aquarium, pinball/video game arcade, etc.) None of us are interested in what Vegas has to offer, but the idea of a place with lots to see and do is definitely ideal.

And yes, meetups are a bear of a challenge to set up.

What usually happens is that someone is traveling somewhere close to someone else, and the rest of us see if there's any way we can all meet in that area.

For example, Cinder lives near a place I was already traveling this past summer, so we all talked about meeting up there.

Unfortunately, it didn't work out, but I was able to hang out with Cinder (went to her church and she took me to an awesome Butterfly Garden,) so we take what we can get and are very grateful if something does work out! :)
You make it sound so exciting when really you just sat on my couch listening to the tv and catching up on your phone while I fed you and made sure the dog wasn't going to eat you.

Seoul is the only person other than me who's been in my car with my dog (and even lived to tell about it) but seoul always had to get in the car first.

Have I ever mentioned that part of the challenge of meeting up with someone from CC in person is the sense of danger?! 😂

Listening to the TV??

I thought you watched the TV. Or if it was too hard to hear it, read it with the captions on.

Pinball, video game arcade...I wonder who's idea that was .....

Aquarium and Butterfly Garden sound good to me.

I'm not sure how she did it but I swear her eyes were on her phone but she was following the show on the tv. And it had a lot of visual gags too.

It takes years of practice to master -- even though in real life, I never watch TV (just YouTube on my phone.) 🧙🏼🪄🎩🦄

Wot, was this an imaginary meet up, not a real life one with Cinder?

Or was it just Cinder had a TV and you were pretending to watch it just to be polite. Sometimes friends do that like you go to their house and they have the TV on and expect you to watch it instead of talking with them and giving them food.

Who were you catching up with on the phone when you were meant to be catching up with Cinder then??

Was she feeding you...dog food?

Now I am mighty confused. I don't know what is real anymore! Am I inside a video game??

Yes, I met up with The Real Cinder. I've seen her something like 4 times in real life. She often introduces me to British comedies I've never heard of but have me laughing at their dry humor. At the Pigeon Forge meetup, we were laughing and wheezing so hard that Lynx actually ran upstairs to see if we were ok. Lol!

Going back to my recent visit with Cinder... It was a noteworthy trip for me because it was in an area where I have several friends I met in real life (not online.) I hadn't seen them since Before The World Event That Must Not Been Named. And one friend I hadn't seen in about 30 years -- she was my counselor at Lutheran camp when I was a kid, and we've always kept in touch.

During the time I was visiting, I was setting up times to meet about 5 other friends (all at different times, because most don't know each other) on varying days. I keep in touch with all my friends, whether I've met them through real life or online, through texts and chats on my phone, so yes, there was a lot to keep up at that time.

Cinder fed me real food, as she makes a mean breakfast sandwich and burger, along with a delectable offering of teas.

We didn't watch Mr. Bean, but she has introduced me to Horrible Histories (I skip the parts when they talk about gross things, like lack of hygiene and outhouses,) and the sitcom Miranda, which was funny because it was relatable, as it's about an awkward single woman (who gets married at the end of the series.)

Lol!!

I love that the people here are much more interested in things like the dungeon and being wardens and other versions of the medieval police...

No worries about any competition for the position of princess in THIS kingdom! 😆👑

As for the octopus/shark cryptid, I'm thinking @CarriePie just might have been the genius behind this movie:

A cryptid is a critter that hasn't been proven to exist. There are those in the world that love to look for cryptids. Cryptids range from Bigfoot to el chupacabra to Nessie to Mongolian death worm and so on and so forth.
If any of them ever finds a snipe, do please let me know.

I'm a sucker for a castle on a hill (Vianden or pierrefonds) and it had to have been built before 1492 A.D. The main keep, the chapel, and armory are all getting a thorough inspection. In theory, I came with the castle lol. Obviously a knight or chaplain.... knight-chaplain. And that moat better be filled with a barrier reef population of box jellyfish. Enemies won't know what hit'em, literally.

I vote @Charlesiii to be court jester.

I don't know what part I play, maybe damsel in distress like Rapunzel. Or Sleeping Beauty.

Rapunzel I will need an extremely long hair extension, and for Sleeping Beauty I require memory pillows. I will become extremely beautiful after all that 100 years long beauty sleep.

Great to meet you @HizSonChild!

The regulars here in Singles often have threads going in Singles and Family, and occasionally Miscellaneous...

Hope your work is going well and that we will see you in the threads soon! :)

Jester?!? It was kind of you to remember me, but I think "Hand of the King" would be more my style. Not an actual hand, obviously. It's like the guy who has all the power of the king, but who isn't actually the king. A king without a crown, if you will.

As for the moat, we should fill it with hippopotami. They will guard the land side of the moat also, to prevent pesky enemies besieging us and trying to fill the moat in. Also, their fat bodies and large mouths make them look deceptively slow and cuddly.

Wot

But...

Um...ok I will keep my mouth shut

My giraffes shall be safe keeping watch/lookout in the turrets.

You can be the decoy King.

We'll still need a jester though.

Do hippopotami like spaghetti and tomato sauce?
