“Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in your faith and in the knowledge that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.” (1Peter 5:8,9)

Read by many, many times. Conversely, scoffed by many, many times. Still, if that isn’t a call to minister in any way possible to those who suffer, I fail in everything.

One such area that has largely been ignored where they undoubtedly suffer and where the Christian brotherhood isn't fairing well, is in the area of that good and natural affection known as 'sexual desire'. Mainly because of those of us older and having learned to walk well beyond much of today's chat-room expectations that lack spiritual stability with this issue in an age of not being able to sort out for themselves the difference of that good, strong and healthy sexual desire from everything that would remove our guardrails of truth to correctly handle it !!

For those whom have the victory but refuse to touch this issue that it might pollute your known excellence of expounding on difficulties, well guess what, omissions from such a heavyweight that the young are obviously plagued by will also go on record when the “books are opened”. To those being tried; as the saying goes to the end: “The night is far spent, the day is at hand.” to which the books will also “be opened”.

In dealing with this God-given desire in a world that has all the more honed itself accordingly, a Christian needs the power of Christ’s Spirit to be “watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints” (Ephesians 6:18).

Oh yes, keep them under Your continual care! Aside from one’s own choices of entertainment, how do you advise the young about their sexuality in a world who is committed to Babylon’s many traps (Revelations 18:2)? Hopefully, that is advice towards a victorious life that walks in peace and joy with Jesus. But if after you have read this post, you can't quite figure out what it is centered over, read it again and don't cave to become another spiritual casualty that scoffs at the following:

“I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one.” (1John 2:13)

There has always been a lot of static on the line about Christians and sexual desire, as long as I've been alive anyway. From what I hear the last time it was crystal clear was back in the late 1950s. Then we got hippies, then we got disco, then we got all the junk of the 90s...

Hello, @PAC-fit

I enjoyed your thread about letterheads and fonts very much! 🔠😀

Thank you for the reminder about having victory in Christ and welcome to the Singles Forum. :)

Yes to all. I can specifically recall the 50's 'Jesus is just alright with me' culture didn't get the big quench till then.

Hey thanks! Uh, if I'm not mistaken, you have a bit of an artsy background yourself, no?
Thank you for the reminder about having victory in Christ and welcome to the Singles Forum. :)
Oh agreed and, if ever I could be advised to place something elsewhere, I would surely welcome that. Otherwise, bless His family for the prize and right by Christ to the 'Book of Life'! Bless and love you all.

Hi and forgive me for not informing myself, what area is the BDF?
Shorthand for Bible Discussion Forum, because that's a lot to type out every time we refer to the grand battle and carnage of the BDF.

Oh, really? I have experienced deeper shrugs from posting in there?? But I'll take note, thanks!
Hi @PAC-fit,

Singles has kind of turned into a place where both married and single people talk about our daily and family lives as Christians.

The main reason some of us suggest the BDF (Bible Discussion Forum) for this type of thread is because when people post Bible lessons in Singles, they're often looking for others to have a Bible study/sermon-type discussion with, and that happens more often in the BDF.

If someone comes to Singles looking for that, they might be disappointed they're not getting the answers they wanted, and feel they've wasted their time.

I always like to say the the BDF is the sermon and Bible Lesson, and Singles is the Coffee and Donut Fellowship Hour afterwards. :)

But you're still welcome to post here!

I just apologize in advance if you don't get the responses you might have expected.

Thanks for being so easy going and open minded! :)

I saw there's a brand new forum called the Evangelism and Discipleship Forum.
In my 6+ years of CC I only saw one other new forum open up. This one is the second.

It will be kinda interesting to see what direction that one takes.
