Also if your rice isn't a little sticky you're not doing it right.
But no 20 years or more ago your average white american family didn't have a rice cooker. Even now there's probably alot of people in the us that don't have one.
I don't need a bag to cook rice in without a rice cooker. Also, is that bag plastic? Why would you boil rice inside a plastic bag? Usually with food you don't cook it with the bag?
That would be like putting the wonder bread in the oven to toast it...with the bag still on!
We never bought uncle bens. For years I wondered what it tasted like, then my friend had me over for dinner and we had some. It was really good. It's seasoned or something. Didn't taste like just rice. It had flavor to it. I don't know if it actually cooks in a bag or not. There was/is another brand called Rice-A-Roni. I still haven't tasted that one.Def not Uncle Ben's though

Yea, high sodium is almost like a pre-requisite for food that tastes really good. But we are the salt of the earth so we can handle it!My Mom served us some kind of chicken-flavored Uncle Ben's boil-in-a-bag rice -- and it was fantastic.
Of course, it also had enough sodium to kill a horse.
I'm betting that's why it tasted so good!!!![]()
Ice cream cones always taste better than those ice cream cups.Unfortunately, we Americans (USA) are suckers for convenience, and they just keep coming up with all sorts of new ways to make things more "convenient."
Including packaging that doubles as a cooking dish!
(The comment about toasting the Wonder bread in the bag made me laugh -- but I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with that someday!)![]()
I think it must be like those chicken flavoured instant noodles, you don't put real chicken in it but a packet of salt that tastes like chicken. My Mom served us some kind of chicken-flavored Uncle Ben's boil-in-a-bag rice -- and it was fantastic.

Why is everyone asking me why I don't have an air fryer?Yea I think most Americans don't have rice cookers because they usually eat potatoes, bread or pasta.
I'm pretty sure almost everyone in America has an air fryer. They're really popular here because you can heat stuff up or cook frozen foods in just a few minutes and it comes out like it was cooked on a stove or in the oven, not like it was cooked in a microwave. Why is everyone asking me why I don't have an air fryer?
You can't cook fried rice in those. You use a wok!
Ugh microwaves are only good for popcorn. That's what you cook in a (paper) bag.I'm pretty sure almost everyone in America has an air fryer. hmm the Double dragon rice is not hot and spicy.
Its jasmine rice so its fragrant (although to me it doesn't smell like jasmine flowers)
As for high blood sugar content. I thought maybe it's better to cut down on actual sugar than carbs.
White poison?
