Thank you for your prayers. Right now, I'm feeling really low but I know that God will be by my side during my moments of grief. Sorry for your loss too. It is a hard thing to take.My prayers are for you. My dear wife went to glory in February, so I know how you must be feeling.

In Gen 1:28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
This command was before the fall, yet they didn’t have sex until after the fall.
No need, the Lord will return in my lifetime.
JesusLives was my wife. She passed away last night.
My prayers are for you. My dear wife went to glory in February, so I know how you must be feeling.
No you don't get it. Tough or not I don't wanna hear about it. Jesus is not a matchmaker, and the church's job is not to get everyone paired up. The only betrayal is that I come to the church for the word of God and the wellbeing of my soul, yet I get a marriage counselling session and the wellbeing of the neither region.
Oh boys and girls, how did I miss this interesting thread?!![]()
No, most churches' default narrative is based on (pre-existing) marriage. If you're single, that's just a "preparing stage", presuming you'll get married someday, somehow. There's no theology for folks who have nobody to marry and no resources to date.Does your church not have a ministry to single people?
I don't know why so many smart folks can't distinguish date setting from a rough estimate. "No one knows the day or the hour", but you can surely know the era and the season, otherwise what are all the prophetic signs for? When the disciples asked "what are the signs of your coming", why would Jesus answer them anything if they weren't supposed to know?Dates! I love dates!!
We've probably still got a long way to go. I certainly don't expect it in my lifetime.I don't know why so many smart folks can't distinguish date setting from a rough estimate. That might be a blessing though, being spared from the Great Tribulation. You can't be both watchful on the signs and willingly ignorant. We've probably still got a long way to go. I certainly don't expect it in my lifetime.
Also, put everything aside for a while, including the "mark of the beast," if you take "IMAGE of the beast" verses literally, it'd be the counterfeit of the image of God, it'll speak, kill and rule, whatever the mark is, it'll just be a mark of your obedience, see Deut. 6:4-8. Think carefully about what it might be - again, not the mark, but the image. Something close to this had only emerged over the past few years, it's not crying wolf anymore. We've probably still got a long way to go. I certainly don't expect it in my lifetime.
