My parents' fortune is their own, I'll inherit whatever's left for my own retirement, that's it.
And frankly speaking, they're overbearing and domineering materialists, everything I've done right is what I'm supposed to do, as my duties and obligations; everything I've done wrong is my fault, even when it's not, like if I slip and fall, they'd acowl at me for not watching where I'm going instead of asking if I'm hurt. And I don't blame them, we ought to honor our father and mother, right? I've just concluded it as the price to pay for such a comfortable life.
I'm truly sorry to hear this.
Thank you for providing some insight.
And it does indeed sadden me that your parents have apparently only shown care about things and not actually you.
Yes, we honor our parents, but God also tells parents to love their children as He does.
I'm truly sorry your parents did not follow this.
Ephesians 6:4 -- Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger (do not exasperate them to the point of resentment with demands that are trivial, unreasonable, humiliating, or abusive, nor by showing favoritism or indifference to any of them,) but bring them up (tenderly, with loving kindness,) in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
May God right any wrongs you have suffered.
