I think its sad this is happening in the world and im very sorry about those children who have to live with gay couples.

In this situations is when i remember 1 Timothy 2:1-3 "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior,"

Clearly you've missed my point. Did u even read my post. I said I still ACKNOWLEDGE them as people and respect them as HUMAN BEINGS but do not RESPECT or CONDONE their lifestyle choice. Go back, read again.. thats right there in my post.

The YUCK isnt in reference to the people themselves, but rather their sinful lifestyle choice.. again.. I think you need to re-read before you comment.

I'm also not at all racist, so be careful what you judge others of.
I did read your post.
And I do not see anything wrong with two adult people (of any gender) falling in love and wanting to get married.

The act of love and sex is nothing I see as sinful just because it is between the same gender.

So when you Yuck their love and their attraction. You Yuck them. And to them, Yucking will hurt. Even if you say that it is the things they do that are wrong, not themselves.

All sin is an abomination.

Shut up. The OP was outta line.. If you wanna show homosexuals love, calling them "Yuck" sure isn't it.

Stop justifying your blind ignorance.

I came out of that gay life, and The Church was the very thing pushing me further away.
-I overcame.. No thanks to christians.

Hey if you don't like the word 'Yuck' being used in reference to the homosexual lifestyle, take it up with God not me. He lists it as AN ABOMINATION BEFORE THE LORD... which is much more intense than the word 'Yuck'.. but in laymens terms, yep, God DEFINITELY views that lifestyle choice as 'YUCK'. Soo, I suggest you read your bible. I didn't make the choice on this matter, Jesus did.. are you gonna aruge this with Him?

I'm glad he's at least being clear where he stands -- so that Christians know to stand far away from him!
Amen to that. But to tell you the truth I remeber about a year or so ago. When Obama said, that America isn't just a christian country. Then he started nameing the different religions that America consits of.And technically he is right that America has people living in the country with a different religion than christianity. But he didn't stop there. He began to name certain scriptures in the word of God(Bible)and he started mocking the word of God.I would like to think that any born again christian that heard how the president of the united states of America, which is Obama mocked the holy word of God.Would of right then at that moment drop all support for him.And pray to God, to convict Obama's spirit,in order for Obama to know the error in his ways. And hopefully by constantly praying for him. That would lead Obama to become a true born again christian.

I'm not being self-righteous, I'm defending the word of God.

I am simply telling what the bible says! Open it, read it for yourself, it's all there, I'm not making it up.

I'm simply saying 'Hey this is what God says in the bible'. No self-righteousness here, just the truth.

So to clarify.. if i BELIEVE the word of God, and publicly declare it as so, I'm pushing people away from God?

It's thevway you go about it. You see a gay person, you don't tell them they're icky. You love on them. Btw.. It's the act thats the abomination. Not the person.

Here is quote from Mr.Obama s interview about supporting gay marriage "We are both practicing Christians and obviously this position may be considered to put us at odds with the views of others," he said. "But, you know, when we think about our faith, the thing at root that we think about is, not only Christ sacrificing himself on our behalf, but it's also the Golden Rule, you know, treat others the way you would want to be treated."
Hmmm.. Really his wife and him are practicing Christians?I wonder what version of the bible hes reading from?

Just wanna say I respect gay rights and think its way past time to let ppl live...they r not hurting anyone...gay rights shud have been an obvious foundation a looong time ago, too many ppl are limited in their views and it is holding the world back from having true equality for all...

Just my 2 cents...

yes gay rights was the obvious foundation for Sodom and Gommorrah, don't see why the world won't want to rebuild those cities......I heard Babylon was quite the city as well...so anyone want to build a few towers?

I saw this on the news yesterday and it both surprised me and at the same time it didn't...I was kinda guessing that he was supportive of it but to actually declare in fron of a nation that he supports gay marriage is a BIG DEAL. As some others said, this will cause a lot of confusion to people, especially little children. :(. They are just making it harder for homosexuals who want to turn fromm their sin since their country is telling them they don't have anything to repent from. There is no way to combat sin if you don't even recognize sin as sin.....
This is kinda my point. (By the way in the Bible it's not only listed as a sin, but an abnormal, degrading, indecent, abomination.)

You guys should stop nitpicking about me saying "yuck".

It's just extraordinary to me that it's not yucky at all to the president of the USA, and he's so boldly proclaiming his support of it, even giving examples of children having these same-sex "parents". Yes, men sodomizing each other is yucky, men kissing each other is yucky, and even the thought of two men sleeping together is yucky (and if it's not to other people then that shows all the more how society has brainwashed people to accept something totally abnormal) -- and for any president to try to push such an idea on the country (even when state majorities are voting against it) is just remarkable. And the real crime is putting babies in the middle of that yuckiness and telling them that's their "parents".

My whole point is about Obama, and his agenda, which is becoming so clear. He, and society in general want to desensitize us so that it's not yucky, so that it's normal, and so that children can be put into that (and "raised" with the ultimate homosexual brainwashing).

For what it's worth, I've counseled homosexuals and shown them how to be set free (we Christians do have the answer, praise God). It's really not my intent to bash the people themselves (though when they start to try to pull kids into their environment I have more to say). I knew one guy who was molested by his uncle from boyhood, and so he grew up that way. (He's now set free.) If that happened to me, I probably would have grown up that way too. Actually my great uncle tried to molest me repeatedly one night in the middle of my sleep. Thank God he didn't succeed. If he did, I'd either be homosexual now or I'd be sitting here with an ex-homosexual testimony, which I guess wouldn't be so bad, but thank God I didn't have to go through that bondage.

By the way, there is a homosexual "couple" living about 20 yards across from my house. It actually doesn't really bother me since they keep all the perverted affection behind their closed doors. But to give them an official license to be an official, legal "family" and give them a CHILD would bother me, yes. It might actually make me say "yuck", sorry.

I don't know how perfect my posts are but just let me be me, even if I'm an "admin". :)

If you don't like my posts, don't read 'em. :)

This is not the first time that people nitpick and say "oh you're an admin and you said such and such" blah blah blah. *sigh* Maybe I should refrain from posting here. I'll just talk to my wife and kids. Geez. :D (Oh no now maybe somebody is gonna get me for saying "Geez" coz they'll say that's using a form of the name "Jesus" in vain, and I'm an admin, so I should set a better example, blah blah blah.)

Okay bye. :)

This has always puzzled me... when the users are determining what is/is not appropriate for our posts, the final word would be (I assume) you. It seems like, if anything, you would get much MORE leeway, as you know exactly where the line of acceptability is.

lol whenever I see you type the word "yuck" RoboOp I get the image of you at about 4 years old, because I spend a lot of times around toddlers and one of their favorite words is "yuck".

I imagine you'd look a lot like the boy in yellow.

Anyway I probably shouldn't laugh because someone is bound to be offended but it pops into my head and its late enough I'm allowed to be strange.

I think people should look beyond how some thing is said to WHAT is being said.

People who support gay marriage are going to be offended no matter how diplomatic you phrase it. Just some of them won't be able to see pass the false veneer or sugar coating to the truth behind the words.

Homosexuality is considered an abomination and sin to God. So are many other actions and thoughts. However Jesus came to save sinners and He has equipped us with the tools and cleansed us and placed in us new hearts and new minds and the Holy Spirit to teach us and help us to overcome. He has given us teachers and His Holy Bible and many other blessings to help but break the bonds of sin but if we do not admit that we are sinning and repent then we will still be slaves to those wrongful lusts and desires and will continue to rebel against God and His will for us and the world.

the issue is not really the word "yuck" but the teachings found in the Bible that go against the teachings of a lesbian "preacher"
