I thought it was about volition.
I do because I want to.
It is a gift.
Have you ever gotten a gift?
You use it as you will.
Now, that is not saying that you can do anything you want to.
But as the Spirit leads, He uses us.
Did not the apostle Paul say to covet the most earnest gifts?
(Meaning those that will help the body of Christ most)
Sometimes people need to be healed.
And they have the faith to receive it.
Then the question becomes:
1. DO you have the gift.
2. Do you have the faith.
And this isn't just about healing,
it applies to all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
If you have the gift of interpretation, do you have the faith to use it?
In that sense, volition weighs heavily into the equation.
