Good questions. The church today teaches doctrinal salvation rather than heart conversion. In other words, if you know the four spiritual laws and say the sinners prayer (or whatever the church claims is the proper ritual), then bingo, you're saved because you have jumped through the approved hoops. Problem is, it isn't true.

It took me decades to see it, but salvation has absolutely nothing to do with doctrinal head knowledge, everything to do with having a repentant, humble and contrite heart towards God, a sometimes rare commodity here.

When he says yes, I say praise ha Shem and tell him he is my brother, because I'm looking for his Messiah, too, the only difference between us being that I believe He has already been here once. Guess what? After that, it's a piece of cake to tell him about the true sacrifical lamb who came to die for the sins of us all.
