I imagine my soul mate at this moment standing on a street corner trying to solicit money from people!!!

(she would be a Salvation Army Bell-Ringer - I don't know what you were all thinking!!!).

I thought she was selling pretzels or hot dogs, what were you thinking I was thinking about thinking?

;)

If I believed in soul mates, I think my soul mate is praying about me and asking/wondering when we'll meet.

No where. There is no such thing as a soul mate.

<Ding Ding Ding> We have a winner folks!
(don't make me post that Mark Gungor link again) :P

but to play along...If there is someone out there that God specifically has in mind for me, then she is going through trials, experiencing life, and generally being polished by the roughness of a life of preparation as God allows her to grow to become who He wants her to be before introducing us. By the same token, I am theoretically doing the same thing right this very now.

He's sitting in his room or lying in bed, reading a book or just thinking, thinking about life, maybe confused, scared, or excited...or a combination of those three. He knows his feelings, he knows his desires, he knows what he wants. Maybe he had a rough day at work or at school, but he keeps going, he doesn't like to quit unless something is attempting against his beliefs or personality. He is praying that God helps him through the journey. Or.....maybe he is sleeping since it's past midnight.

Mine is most likely under the ground cuz she got hit by a bus... xDD

Joking or not, that is so sad. :( I hope God would not let something like that happen. If a soulmate exists, then it is part of God's plan to bring the two of you together.

You're probably right, Ugly. I should have said 'future spouse' instead.

Or, she could have committed suicide.

(Sorry folks... I've sat in a room with a guy who shot and killed his parents... And, I've been in the hospital for my own suicide attempt as well. I have just as much of a dark side as some of the people who post here and sometimes feel the need to rise... or stoop... to the challenge.)

Sorry Zero! Very cool thread idea... Sorry for the brief interruption.
I'm glad you are still with us, Kim! And you don't ever have to apologize for derailing one my threads. :D

Thanks Zero... I guess I was in the mood to be bad. :D You know how there is talk in another thread about being a super hero?

I don't feel like a super hero, but I did feel like a zoo keeper... and what time was it? It was time to feed the trolls. Just a nibble. :)

I know there are countless arguments as to whether or not soul mates exist... That will definitely be on my list to ask God someday... It just seems to me that in some cases at least, there is a possibility, especially when two souls become one in marriage. *Shrug*

It's just the nerd in me, but just because the Bible doesn't specifically declare that on the 2nd or 3rd day God made gravity and atomic particles doesn't mean they don't exist, so I prefer to keep an open mind.

I'm thinking my soul mate has finished at the Chinese buffet by now and has moved on to the all-you-can-eat sundae bar.

I'm thinking, the very first gift we will ever get each other are joint memberships to Gold's Gym (ha ha ha... I almost typed "God's Gym"... even better!) :)

The Bible may not have any passages that scream, "YOU HAVE A SOUL MATE!!" but I do believe God makes, and brings together, highly compatible people.

Being adopted, I always say if God had allowed me to choose my own parents, and He would have let me choose from Bill Gates, Donald Trump, or a couple living in a $5000 trailer in the middle of the midwest, I would have made the wrong choice.

And they are the absolute perfect choice for me, through all the heartache, medical difficulties, screaming hell fights, rebellion and tears...

I may never find "the one"--but God was gracious enough to grant me not just one, but two.

My parents are, by far, the closest examples of soul mates to each other (they've been together since ages 13 and 15 and with NO one else, ever,) and to me as I have ever read about or experienced. If I never find "the one", I'll always be grateful for the two souls who have bonded with my own for now and always, even though as people, we are complete opposites!!

You're arguing against me, by using an argument that has nothing to do with what i said. You're not arguing 'pro soul mate', which is what i said didn't exist, but instead you're changing lanes, and talking about something i made no comment on, and trying to argue with me about something i never gave an opinion on. I don't understand the logic of trying to correct me on something i never said to begin with. Did i ever say God doesn't bring people together? I did not say, or even imply that. I never touched the concept at all. So please don't put words in my mouth or thoughts in my head, then try to tell me how wrong i am.

The idea of 'the one' or 'soul mate' or 'someone created for me' is actually started in pagan roots.

Your soul mate ate at the Chinese Buffet for 10 hours? I know that guy! He's awesome!

"You been here four hour! You leave now! You eat like Shamu!"

btw..I'm not trying to mock yer' thread zero. I don't believe in a soul mate anymore, but when I was younger I did for a brief time. I don't see anything wrong with that belief as long as it's not all consuming of your thoughts. With that said..I do however believe in Coffee Mate! Hazelnut to be exact,on with I am sipping in a cup of coffee right now. I'd like to thank God for coffee mate, but I'm sure he'd not want the credit for such a chemically perverse freak of nature that I am ingesting on a daily basis. lol

My future misuz is doing burnouts listening to a chuck missler tape and shouting the lords prayer with arms wide open and her eyes closed and facing up to the heavens. Wow shes awsome! I will go and pick her up from the psyche ward after dinner. :)
