Not true! Being a pastor is a position of authority, and women are not to have authority over a man, therefore women pastors are forbidden.
A pastor is a Sheppard, a servant. not an authority figure.. And he should not be alone,, he should have an equal.

With all due respect dear sister, I did not judge wrongfully. Any professing Christian who distorts God's word for whatever reason needs to be harshly rebuked. If you think I'm being harsh, Jesus is the one who is going to cast blasphemers into a lake of fire and brimstone. Twisting God's word is blasphemy, and it shouldn't be taken lightly. Yes, what I say will offend people. So what? Jesus offended the religious hypocrites and they had him crucified. But the truth still had to be told. I'm sick of these politically correct Christians who start crying every time somebody hurts their feelings.
You are to rebuke in the spirit of gentleness (Gal 6:1). A rebuke is not meant to be harsh, mean or offensive. It is to teach the sinner his sin, and hopes he comes back to God. You rebuke someone because you love them.

What is interesting is how the subject of rebuking was even brought up in this thread. When I was discussing with you how I have to play the mother and father role in my sons life due to the abandonment of my sons father you found out my son is a result of fornication. The subject immediately went from discussing the welfare of a child to rebuking. You never asked if I repented, but automatically assumed by your comments that I did not. You would not have known that my sin had been forgiven if it wasn't for me volunteering the information.
While your thread topic is one I do 100% agree with I can't help but question your motives here. Are you here to help people, and encourage or are you here to point fingers? You then tell someone they do not know scripture when they were trying to help you understand.

Jesus did not rebuke the woman who was about to be stoned to death for a sexual sin. He did not condemn her either. He told her to "go and sin no more". He was not harsh, and he was not offensive.

We don't become Christians so we can offend people.

Prov 11:17 A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself.

1 Cor 13:4-7 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things

Phillippians 2 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, ...

1 Peter 4:8 Love covers a multitude of sins

Why would God set up a ministry that violates His own Word?
Simply put...it doesn't violate God's Word...You must be one of those male chauvinists I was talking about! :p

I had good reason to believe you hadn't repented. Apparently you were a Christian before you met your ex boyfriend, so I was curious as to why you would have fornicated with him knowing it was a sin. I wasn't judging you.

Hogwash! A pastor IS a position of authority. Telling lies for Satan won't do you much justice.

No, That would be an apostle. A pastor is a shephard. That is the problem with the church, men come and take power and have NO one to hold them accountable.. They are tasked with shepparding the church, not holding authority over them. And there should be AT least 2 equal pastors at every church, Just like Christ sent the disciples out in twos. Even Paul, A true authority, would not go anywhere without someone he held equal.

What does a shepard do? They tend to the flock. They look after the flock. They feed the flock.
exactly.. and how many sheppards usually watch over any given flock?

Everyone sins. Even Christians. We fall short, and we are to ask for forgiveness.

Not true. A pastor is a position of authority, and you cannot provide a single example where God ordained women to have authority over men in the church as pastors.

So YESTERDAY when I posted I was on the first page of this thread. Today I see 13 more pages have bene added :p Honestly, I didn't read all the 13 pages and I am sure some posts are gonna be for female pastors and some against. This is what I would like to say, doesn't matter how much we agree or disagree with the Scriptures, it doesn't change it a bit. It's the Living Word of God and it will always be. Our belief doesn't give it validity and our disbelief doesn't take away it's power. IT IS WHAT IT IS!

Next point, if God thought those verses were only applicable in those times, why didn't He revise the Bible to suit our modern culture? Oh wait, I think Bible is the Word of God and it doesn't get modified to suit our needs.

Finally, doesn't matter how much we will argue, not just this topic but many other topics, I don't think they are going to disappear from the Bible. My belief, God has put it in the Bible and it's for a reason.

May our Lord Jesus guide us all to follow Him as closely as we can, Amen.

P.S Bigger font and boldness is just to get attention

There were great women in the bible and their stories are powerful. If they were alive today and told their life's story to a group of people in hopes that people would turn to God, would that be a bad thing? Wouldn't that "today", be considered preaching? Just a quick question

Nope. Just a God-fearing man that seeks to be obedient to the Word of God.

The topic was more refined to more of a specific one.
But yes by all means woman are powerful(the power of the Spirit and their testimony)
But some see it as an all or none topic. Sad but i think thats true.
Anyway every part of the body is necessary.
