Acts 15:20
Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. (Write to believers.)

Romans 14:13
Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.

Thank you for responding. I had never seen such a thing here as far as promoting. I thought I might have missed something.
Well if it's not a issue..why folks getting so worked up about a thread about holiness? ... why folks so bent out of shape about telling folks homosexual behavior is unacceptable in the church.

I really don't care if you like my attitude. . So now what?
Can you explain 1 Corinthians, Chapter 13 to us? I think Paul wrote that one.

Direct your questions towards those of whom you speak.

Another great article for this thread: God's Word in Two Words | Christianity Today

"The overwhelming focus of the Bible is not the work of the redeemed but the work of the Redeemer. Which means that the Bible is not first a recipe book for Christian living, but a revelation book of Jesus, who is the answer to our un-Christian living."

Well since we all agree it's time for a politically correct joke now.

A person belonging to an*ethnic group*whose members are commonly
considered to have certain stereotypical mannerisms met another person
belonging to a different ethnic group with a different set of imputed
stereotypical mannerisms. The first person acted in a manner consistent
with the stereotypes associated with his ethnic group, and proceeded to
make a remark which might be considered to establish conclusively his
membership*in that group, whereupon his companion proceeded to make a
remark with a double meaning, the first meaning of which could be
interpreted to indicate his agreement with his companion, but the other
meaning of which serves to corroborate his membership in his particular
ethnic group. The first person took offense at his remark, and reacted
in a stereotypical way!

If we're gonna bring Paul into the mix, you gotta remember that Paul spoke kindly and lovingly to the barbarous guards who beat him up in prison and by Paul's love & mercy toward them, they came to Christ. In fact, no matter where Paul wound up, people got saved. Because Paul was a living example and dead to himself. He didn't have a personal agenda.

Jesus was humble, kind and lowly of heart and went about His Father's business. He didn't have his own agenda. He said, "I do what my Father tells me." Who in this thread is doing what the Father told them?

Here's how to confirm:
Go through your own posts in this thread and determine if that's exactly what Jesus would say.

I already know I've posted a few things that I regret. But I challenge us all to measure our posts with the Spirit of Christ.

Can you explain when Paul told certain believers that he would come to them in humility or with a rod? Or when Paul told certain believers that his heart and compassion was open to them but they would not allow him to have that attitude toward them because of their own pride and rebellion? Paul ..even when he corrected people...even when he was harsh was walking in love

But Paul was their spiritual father and did care.

no it just is a comment that I consider doesn't dignify a response.
Look you want to start over with me? That's fine...I will try to understand your points and give you respect...but if you will remember your first post ever to me was to accuse me of being a pervert because I dared to address the gay issue... Now ... its up to you ...I don't move because folks try to move me but I will hunble myself with others.

Yes and Paul in love rebuked folks and even blinded certain people who came against him...by the way...did you find that passage..that you seemed so determined was not biblical?

Yes he said God would blind him and the other one of God striking him he took back because it was the high priest. That's not killing people and making them blind literally himself. Thought you said that.
