I've been back at it the last four days. Worked on shoulders, back, and biceps tonight.

My gym has this touchscreen outside of the studio or whatever; anyway, you can choose any type of workout they have listed and you go in and a screen drops down and it plays the workout with the instructor and everything. I did this metabolic cross-training workout last night that really gets you going. I couldn't even finish it lol. I made the mistake of doing that at the end of my workout. Definitely a challenge that I want to try again when I'm a little more refreshed.

Worked out again tonight woohoo! And after only a one day layover! :p (I was a little sore yesterday)

Started off with bench press, then dumbbell curls, shrugs, shoulder flys, lat pull downs (is there a better name for this one).. and crunches (I forgot to mention crunches on the last workout)

Then a 1.5 mile jog
(my legs were still a little sore from the night before - yea that's how out of shape I am! :p)

Squatted 445 on thursday. It went up pretty good. I think I could get 455...

Tried to deadlift 500 yesterday. Got it up to my knees and it stalled there. So I put on straps and tried again. Got it just past my knees and it stalled there.

I'm thinking of possibly backing my deadlift down to 485 for a 1rm.

Hey, all! :) How is everyone's fitness going?!

I've been pretty terrible meal prepping, but....I did it all last night :) It feels nice not having to wake up in the morning and rushing to pack my food for the day before work.

Today is total body cardio. Blehhhhhh.

What have been some struggles in your fitness that you have been experiencing lately and what can you do to fix it?

The other night I did another workout at the gym..
- bench press
- curls
- shrugs
- lateral flys
- crunches
- lat pull downs
- 2 mile jog

Then tonight I walked on the treadmill for 1.5 miles (legs were a bit sore). I was trying some new songs on my karaoke app the whole time too....(this was at the treadmill at home lol)

Now I'm hungry and its 4am -_-

Wow,y'all make me want to join a gym. I rode my bike yesterday for 24 miles, did yoga on Monday and might go for a walk in the woods today.

Maybe think about joining the local gym, but struggle to get motivated to go workout there.

I thought her approach to eating was interesting...I like that it doesn't require much thought, it's just math. For myself, however, I do pay way more attention to my protein intake these days than she seems to

I've been a little lazy with meal prepping lately as well.

Its so much easier to just grab something fast (loaded with carbs) than actually prepare good food in advance.

I do pretty good for about 3 weeks and then I run out of pre-made stuff and the next thing I know I'm at dairy queen ordering a flame thrower with fries and a soda and an ice cream sometimes. Flame throwers are delicious. They have bacon and two hamburger patties with spicy sauce. And the ice cream has chocolate sauce and peanut butter sauce.

But its way more calories and carbs than I usually intake when I make food at home. And so I cycle way up and then way down. Too bad there isn't a fast food restaurant for people who actually want to eat better and lower their carb intake. I'd probably be the only one going and everyone else would be at dairy queen ordering my flame thrower with soda, fries and an ice cream...

Did 2 miles at the gym tonight, but this time on the elliptical because my legs were still a lil sore. Then i did a bunch of crunches. I didnt have a lot of energy tonight and it was past midnight so I went home after that, but it was still a good workout. I've actually worked out 3 days in a row. Woohoo! At this rate I'll be doing split routines in a month! (ok maybe two months...)

I've counted calories so much in the past that I can just look at food and guess with pretty good accuracy how many calories it has.

That definitely sounds like heat-related illness. Make sure you stay well hydrated during hot workouts. And if its too hot, don't push yourself too hard or too long.
