How about babysitting? Or tutoring? These are things that you can do at home and at your time. They're fairly easy and they pay nicely. :)

Just been looking into some ways to make extra money lately, it's not that we have too, but just looking for ways to get a nice cushion in our funds. What do you guys do for a living or for making extra money. Also I work full time and my wife stays at home and she too has been looking for ideas for her self to make money, that wouldn't be taking to much time away from the kids. Or something that is really flexible because she stays at home with the kids. Thanks :)
Physical labor.
Go to a location where day laborers are hired.
It is hard work, but pays well.

I put an extra $250 a month in my pocket by donating blood plasma. I donate 5 times a month at about 90 minutes per session.
And you spend the rest of the month in the hospital from lack of blood? lol

I'm trying to do surveys. Gonna see if that works out.
It doesn't... or it does, but you can stand on the street corner and ask people for pennies to make money faster.

I started selling on ebay years ago...mostly jewelry, but I also sell other stuff that's in good condition that others might want. I started going to the thrift stores and purchasing nice items at a discount and then turn around and sell them on ebay for a profit. When I first started I was making about $50 a month, but then I got serious about it and posted at least 30 pieces at a time and I make anywhere from $200 to $500 a month depending on what I have selling. It doesn't take much time - just take plenty of photos, upload and write descriptions. The site is very user friendly. The only draw back is learning how to price your items so that you can make a profit since ebay and paypal take their share and learn how much to charge for shipping. I've been doing it for over 10 years and it's nice to have a little supplement to our income. Since I can no longer work and the burden falls on my hubby, this really helps. If you want more info - send me an email.
You can get the stuff you sell for free on FreecycleNetwork.org. There are people in that community that tell you you can't, but then again, the whole idea is to not throw useable stuff into a landfill, so why can't you?
