Gee, how many Christians have you met?
I know a lot of people who should show love to others and instead spew hate and judgement, doing so in the name of Jesus no less. Hence the post in the first place. I've worked with teens and at risk youth off and on for quite a while now. I've had goth kids, kids who think they might be gay, pregnant teens and all sorts who have wounds because they've been told because the dress, or choices they've made or because they think a certain way God hates them. God doesn't hate anyone. We're made in His image and beautifully so. The "church" and "Christians" need to examine what we're doing. How many times is God reaching out to these kids and then someone in their own ignorance and pride shoving them away? We are doing damage. It isn't always that way and I don't believe it's a conscious decision but it is happening. Rather than everyone losing their minds and whipping out their scriptures I'm encouraging people to think from their hearts and listen to the Holy Spirit.

Christians that love truth? only three.
Jesus was never mistaken in His assessments of the people He dealt with. And, Jesus said, "When he the Spirit of truth is come he will guide you into all truth."

I hate...brussel sprouts. They look like giant troll boogers. I hate the sound...of people that chew with their mouths open.
"looks like...? No, this is exactly what they are. I hate the sound of people chewing Brussels Sprouts with their mouths open...

Romans 12:9:

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

By the way, that's from the actual Bible, not some invented verse about thieves and friends loving one another.

Sorry, I misquoted that verse. never the less it is what is happening here.

"If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also." (John 15:18-20 RSV)

I'll try to explain it a little more plainly for you. We are commanded to hate evil. We are not supposed to hate people, especially since we cannot decide if a person is evil or not. That is for God to decide.

i wonder if Paul loved this man

Acts 13

6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:
7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.
10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

Do God love the things a righteous man does ? or does He love the righteous man ?

I'm not sure what you're going for here, are you saying Paul didn't love him? Don't forget: "it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire."

So if being blind for a year made him think about what he had done, how is that not loving?

Unfortunately, that is the long part of our long history. The Christian faith emphasis on correct creed for need of salvation comes as part of the territory. We are called to love, but it always seems the zeal for correct interpretation of scripture and is authoritative scripture gets in the way. Early conflicts over the need or not need to be follow Jewish law gave way to what is considered to be cannon of scripture. Then, the debate about how we define GOD as one, three gods, two gods, or a trinity came about. Did Christ come in the flesh and if so did he rise from the dead. A couple centuries later was Christ divine and human at the same time? Did one or two wills? Did his divinity outstrip his humanity? Later, Is the Bishop of Rome head over all Bishops? Can we use Icons in Worship? Was Mary the Mother of God and lived her entire life as virgin? The great Schism between East and occurs over slight doctrinal differences and the authority of the pope. We get the Reformation the whole definition of what salvation is tears Europe apart. Calvin predestination vs. Arminius freewill idea of choice of salvation. The American conflict of old lights and new lights during times of revival. Today, we debate if of gifts of the Spirit are still working today. We fight over what are proper styles of worship. I have only gone over some of the many issues that have been issues over the Last 2000 years. What totally Amazes me is the fact there is even a church in existence at all. This the true miracle of our Father's love that The Spirit of God can work in stiff necked ego centered Body of believers. Thanks be to God to those true servants of the Lord that have laid themselves on the altar as living sacrifices, the living letters of Christ, so that our Lord's Tabor Light shines to all the world. Thank you Lord that Your Word brings order to our darkness that we still can come to Light of love and grace through your Son Yeshua. Praise unto your Spirit for working the power of salvation in us through your Son that you may Shine Your glorious image through us. For it was always your intention to show all creation your glory and love though the Body as a whole and not in parts. Each of us knows in part your image and without our brother's and sister's we lack the understanding of the fullness of Your Kingdom and glory.

It my own personal belief we are called to reveal some aspect of his glory. As He seeks to RECREATE himself in us for his recreation and pleasure in this world. It is only in a community of believers we come to know the fullness of creation and truly see our part in. The Church is not a collection of uniform bricks, but living stones that are shaped into place with the church body by our Chief cornerstone who the finisher and perfecter of our faith. All honor and glory to our Father, to Yeshsua, and the precious Spirit. AMEN forevermore!!

I don't go by words, I listen to the Holy Spirit and He never commands me to hate anything. Just listen to the resentment in people and you will see the evil one at work. You have no idea how evil works. It is a liar.

You need to study the Word of God (Bible), because it is living.
In it are the words of life.
