Now in lock-down over two weeks, and getting prepared for an essential outing to shop soon, I made a protective mask this morning.

Here is my design and material so far. I used the pant leg of some jeanse and made a pocket with a lengsh of shoe string on either side for the ears.

It is mask haped enough over the nose and mouth. I plan on lining the interior of the mask with fresh tissue paper (Kleenex type.)

Any one person know enough to advise me if this will be as effective as others?
.
I know that the virus can enter through any mucous surface, mouth, eyes, nose, but here we are keeping the healthy distance between folks. So I gifure that should help.

Should anyone sneeze or cough in my face, I can close my eyes before any invisible cloud of breath with its contnts reach me.

If a good thickness of tissues is not enough, please advise me...thanks. God bless all in Jesus-Yeshua...j

Hello,
With people here helping make improvised masks esp for our frontliners, I just heard how a fashion designer decided to make, after consulting with those who know in the medical field etc., masks using nylon from umbrellas as the outer layer, the filter is the ordinary eco-bag material, and cotton lining so it is washable and reusable. Not the same as the real masks, but they give some protection than none.

Keep safe, bro! The Lord is w/ you.

Thank you Mar. The Lord is truly with us. I realize my filter sounded strang, tissue, but I can remove it and toss it out, wash the mask and tissue holder then refill it for another use.

I am compying with being willing to do my part. You know quarantine has been practiced throughout the Bible...….especially with lepers, so I susre hope some of those most faithful folks are not clucking ther tongues at believers and non-believers for putting it into practice.

Do you have many cases, if any, there? I think about you and pray for you and all during this time of possible peril for so many. All blessings and care from our Father in Jesus-Yeshua's name, amen.

where abouts are you in Spain? Have you been to any of the famous gardens there or the Gaudi architecture? One of my friends was telling me about the alahmbra because they did garden tours there.
what kinds of plants are native to Spain?

sorry as for masks make sure you wear protective eyewear, at least glasses or sunnies but if you going into an infected area best wear goggles.

I would wear a scarf made from breathable material and tie it round. You can dampen it so that if its dry dust doesnt choke it. or a cotton bandana.

you may ending up looking like zorro, but Im sure in places like america everyones dressing up as superman and batman etc. One thing you dont want to do is wear your underpants on the outside.

im not sure if to say fatality or casualty, but the virus takes no prisoners. On the good note, about 53 have recovered. Doctors and emergency services are working round the clock to combat the virus, and as we speak anti virus is becoming avialable. The thing is to deal with the cases we already have so it doesnt spread anymore.

I live in the Levante, that is the East Coast of Spain in Valencia Autnomy.
From my studies I know of the Alhambra and the Generalife in Granada, and the hisstory of what took place there while Queen Isabelas troops were laying seige from Santa Fe, built expressly for this purpos,e, on the Moors in Granada.
The mosque of Cordoba is one of my favorite places wehre I have been. There is a garden with fountains I visited once. It was January and not opened, however the caretaker let me in and turned on the fountains for me, just for me. I never felt so honored.
Of course I have been to Toledo and I have seen the aquedauct in Segovie, not mention a myriad of small towns I have come to know in many provinces. Sevilla is another favorite, and of course Madrid. As for Gaudi, I know of his beautiful park in Barcelona, the Sagrada Familia, and other lesser known works like apartments, but his only from reading.
Oviously with my siaght almost gone, I have not meen able to drive these last thirty years. I always loved to drive.
I have lived in many plaaces in Spain but I am pretty much settled down here in my little bungalow with the garden.
Indigenous plands, a very expensive spice is grown here in La Manchs, saffron. Lots of citrus originally from the Orient. Olive trees everywhere . Greens called acelgas. Pomegranites and figs, all delicious. Cork trees in the south east, chestnuts up in Galicia. gVarious beens from habas to pinto along with asparaqgus, wild an d domestically grown. Wonderful grapes and wines. I personally love the Malaga, Sherry, and Moscatel wines, though I probably do not drink more than one every few years. The fishing industry iw quite prolific, and so very much more. Spain is fantasic..I almost forgot, dates also.. Forgive my going on so, however you did ask. All love in Jesus-Yeshua j

You apologize for being so excited to tell abt a beautiful place and its plants! Just reading abt others' passion for our Father's world makes my heart sing. Not sure what acelgas is and cork trees too, but I will want to look into them=). And dates! The kids who can eat but not really appreciate them, do not know how happy I am that I don't have to compete w/ them when there are dates at the house, and I make them last for as long as I can hehe.
