Great responses. Articulates what happens when a fellow sister is lost and then totally alienated and not because of a 'love the sinner' approach.
Yes, we should love the sinner and treat them with respect as we would want to be treated. We should let them know that God loves them, cares about them, and wants to help them. However, there is a point to when you must speak the truth and then if needs be walk away. All we can do is speak the truth of God's word. It is up to them whether they will hear it or not.

I'm sorry but I think it is actually the other way around. From my experience and what I've seen, most of them are the aggressors. They want to bully others into agreeing with their own personal choices and then if we don't they yell we are hateful bigots.
You're talking about an agenda, I was talking about what I've actually experienced.

We don't treat the other sins the way we treat homosexuality though.... I don't see threads of lets correct the thief because there are a bunch of thieves out there stealing everyday, but I don't see Christians go all hellfire and brimstone on them.... maybe because a lot of thieves work after dark and all the good Christians are in bed? lol

Then the adultery one.... You are married you already have someone to love and you are loving more than you should you will burn in Hell.... I don't see those threads so much either....

What about the liars? Why smoke would be ascending now as there are some not so much truths even spread on some of these threads.... anyone smell smoke?

All I am saying is homosexuality does not get a pass but Christians come flocking to condemn them quickly when there are so many other sins that are even in our own lives that we should be working on with the Holy Spirits help to get under control for our own selves than to beat down those with a different sexual preference.... You know kind of like to him who has never sinned cast the first stone or maybe light the match.....

God is against ALL forms of SIN and they un-repented will earn a ticket to the bonfire.
I use to catergorise sin stealing a pen from the office or candy from a kid was a 'small sin' so therefore it was ok
and the big ones werent. I agree with you all sin is sin but ive come to realise the 'consequence the effect it has on other s ourselves and God is different to say stealing lollies / candy off a kid. And thats what Natalie is getting at is it so disgusting to God his feelings toward the sin is really strong. People flip out and go crazy when they are taught stealing a pen from work or lying to a child about candy can send them to Hell because its unrepented sin . ou know what it shows? is a lack of the Fear of God
God didnt break his law for you YOU broke the commandments. In re gards to my testimony im not going to say this and not say that some sins I did in my life God really hated it they were serious so I aint judging we all need to repent daily why do you flip out about that? DAILY ! She said daily Jesus died on the Cross on a day too so you could be empowered to repent DAILY but at the same time if im being unkind and a thief to a child I need to repent just like you do.
Were all sinners!
Its not sin to be questioned , you cant catergorize sin. I will humble myself and you need to too . Pffft stealing a childs candy.. pfft to you too Did you break God's law? that is the question and yeh theres is AMAZNG GRACE his name is Jesus

she was unteachable because you were teaching the wrong thing the wrong way..... and how will she accept lest she hear? she needs to hear the truth! who God is, who she is to Him, who the enemy is, and hoe to fellowship with God.
The person who was banned made clear that they had been a Christian and knew the Bible well.

yes i do, what she says doesn't matter i know shes blinded by the devil... only love will free her, love she can come to understand.
Gods love along with the truth. She made clear she knew the truth and turned away. Now you can love a person but if you truly do you will also tell them the truth. And if they know the truth then all you can do is pray that they will come back to the truth.

i agree, but we need and must plant the right seeds. that is what we have fallen away from in the modern church era, the focus is on what sin is and how its evil which the would will never understand. instead we should be preaching 4 things; who God is, who we are, who the enemy is, and how to walk with Him. after that we can go on to the correction.
So no mention of sin?!

kid, you have no clue what you're talking about.
been around long enough to know arrogance when I see it.
smarten up and mind your elders.
Youth, especially new Christians have a fervor most of us old folks have lost. yes, over the years they slow down, they get comfortable in the church pew, they grow more PC. Demi is forthright and that is her way of giving her opinion, how can you say that is wrong? People can be reached for the Lord in different ways. There are people with prison ministries and they aren't going to give the same message you'd give to an old age home. Preaching the truth of the Gospel is never wrong. And if you do disagree with a youth you need to encourage them to mature in the Lord, the way you're talking to Demi is the same thing you are accusing her of doing to the banned poster. I wish more Christians had some fervor and fire under their posterior. Ive been in hundreds of churches and there were times Id have given anything for some emotion.

Forthrightness often gets mistaken for cynicism, sarcasm or insensitivity.. Well, there were times when Jesus was totally forthright and straight on in what he said.. But people tend to ignore that because he was Jesus, and he's allowed to be outspoken.. lol

yeah. especially through typing sometimes things come across harsher to a person depending on their state, than meant lol. But in the end like said, Jesus wasnt much nicer when it came to some things lol.. not even to think about when he cleaned up the temple lol.
And not everyone knows us so people sometimes make a false picture of someone and their attitude according to a few posts on a certain topic. No topic is the same and according to topic and reaction of others, we react too.
now of course theres people who are led by evil who thing that everyone who disagrees with them is a hypocrite or arrogant. which that open makes me thing of when Jesus said ''I never knew you''. Its sad when people get bound in darkness and just cant see it, and even refuse to see it and just run and get offended if it gets pointed out

Never, not a single time has fooling people into thinking they weren't sinners worked. I do not get this concept. Why are we trying to fool people? Yes, you are a sinner and need the Lord. Yes,we were all sinners and now Jesus blood has saved us and He can do the same for you. What is so wrong about that message?! Why do we have to fool people by telling them their sin is ok? Their sin is no worse than other sins.Where do the disciples preach that? Where did Jesus say that? Why are we trying to David Cooperfield the message? I do not get it.

To all the "troll experts" here:

Regardless of the topic, is it part of a troll's (or group of trollls') M.O. for one to "open the door" so that another one can run in at just the right moment? Then the regulars spend their time fighting with the second one while the first one slips away quietly?

Just curious................:D

Yes, we should love the sinner and treat them with respect as we would want to be treated. We should let them know that God loves them, cares about them, and wants to help them. However, there is a point to when you must speak the truth and then if needs be walk away. All we can do is speak the truth of God's word. It is up to them whether they will hear it or not.

That's very nicely packaged, but unfortunately apart from a small number of posters, this description is entirely distinct from what was actually facilitated.

yes but the truth is who Jesus is, not doctrinal teaching. if there blind to Him what makw us think they will wake up to anything else truth in the word?
