Does anyone know why coffee is tagged or singled out from among the general foods that we usually consume. Processed foods are unhealthy. Along with probably 90% of food in grocery stores. Just don't know why coffee is any different. Is wrong to eat a candy bar. Pizza!
I am sincere in my question.
I never said it was any different...
They are all junk foods, highly processed and damaging to our health.

What is wrong with coffee? What is it about coffee that angers you? I am being sincere.
What about the hoards of processed foods and treats?
What separates coffee from the rest all the other foods and drinks we consume?
By the way, I am not angry. I am a little frustrated that Christians are so clueless about this considering the bible directly points out how we should be eating.
I also wonder that if Christians are this ignorant about this biblical subject, are they as with some others?I can understand baby Christians not understanding it, but people who have been in the word and in prayer like they should for any real length of time should at least know a little bit better.

It isn't wrong to drink coffee. God is the one who gave us coffee beans, after all.. LOL.. The caffeine in it probably isn't good, but it shouldn't affect a person too much unless they drink a dozen cups a day..
Over the mid and long term it is very unhealthy Blue.
Is it wrong to abuse our bodies with over stimulating and processed foods, especially iof we know we are doing to damage to them?
I am not saying I have a concrete answer to that, but I will state it causes a negative chemical reaction in our body. If it compromises our body, then it is doing so also to our mind and spirit.
Everything is linked. You all can say no and deny it, but the truth about it will not change due to your either not understanding it or feeling guilty that your not reaching your full potential in the Lord or because you choose fleshly pleasure over your spiritual life.

Actually, I totally forgot about the Snicker's.

I think that people say it's wrong to drink coffee is the same reason that they say it's wrong to drink alcohol, their knowledge of scripture is immature. They would suffer guilt from what otherwise is a act that is not sinful. This is called scruples.

There are those also that say it is wrong to play musical instruments in church, or have a woman in a leadership positon or that women must not wear pants. Yes, I know that this sounds crazy.

The truth is that God wants us to have life and have it more abundantly. That does not mean that we should abuse our body but there is certainly nothing wrong with enjoying a double espresso with an apple fritter. Sugar is bad for you too, you know, and the fritters are not gluten-free. Thank God for coffee and sweets and just give me that old fashion rock n roll.

My wife is bringing home some fast food from Checker's so I'm good.
Maybe your genetics will allow you to get away with it for a long time. Maybe you will live to be 90 without any major health issues eating fake processed food.
It is unusual but it can happen.
If you do get sick or diseased ( I pray it does not happen) at a younger age, will it be worth it to you? If your wheel chair bound in 5 years, or God forbid get a terminal illness in 10 years?

Some people I have worked with say it is worth it to them. And they mean it. Yet most wish they had taken better care of them selves.

We all have free will.

My goal here is not to tell people what to do.

I do though want to make you all aware that your slowly poisoning your bodies and setting yourself up (probably) living less years then you could have if you ate better. Not only longer life, but a better quality of life.

If you all are cognizant of how your daily choices are accelerating the ageing process, and you still do them, well fine, thats your business. Its between your conscience, your loved ones and God.

But people here trying to tell me coffee and snicker bars and pizza is good even in moderation, well you could not be more wrong.
Your talking about very slow acting exogenous materials being added into the body day in and day out that cause cellular damage, cause epigenetic dysfunction, that cause non oxidative fermentation, that cause inflammation, oxidation, dehydration, acidosis, a sickly immune system, severe stress to the liver, and a host of other major issues.

'checkers, etc.' can be tolerated, at least 'ONCE-A-YEAR'!?!/!, along with all of the other
'life-killing-foods/drug/stores!?!?1/1', that anyone can buy' over-every-Counter-daily' -
= pharmacy/food',...
mostly anytime, 'day-or-night' - anyone can get any kind of 'fix' at any time of the day!!!...

I've played' the 'game' and thank Yeshua, He delivered both of us out of that 'bondage'...

if you feel Him tugging at your heart to 'come-out' and SERVE Him only, listen/obey, while you can!!!
for, as we have learned, He does have certain 'lines' that He draws for 'each and every one of us
as and when He chooses...

Most people cannot afford to eat the type of foods that you have described on a regular basis, or have the time and energy to locate all of the food and ingredients, let alone the time to prepare it. As far as coffee is concerned there are medical reports saying that it is not harmful as well as reports that state that it is.

If you strictly followed every medical report and study there would be very few things that are safe to eat. Personally, the type of food that you have described in your various posts does not appear to be the least bit appetizing or would be enjoyable to consumed.

I really don't think that most Christians that eat processed food are ignorant of scripture in regards to diet but are doing the best they can with what they can afford and is available where they live. Lately, I have been preparing a lot of food using fresh produce as I agree with you that processed foods often lack the necessary nutrients and have additives that are not healthy.

You have done a good job in educating the members about maintaining a healthy lifestyle but perhaps you would agree that there is more than maintaining your health besides what we eat and drink.

Can you please explain or tell why you believe drinking coffee is wrong?
I believe you pointed another person to go to the singles. I'll check. Can you supply a link?

So now my poor diet is going to send me to hell!

2 Corinthians 8.1,8

Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that all have knowledge.
Knowledge puffeth up, but love edifies.

But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

It's a liberty!

Actually most people can afford it. I will admit it takes more work and planning though.
We need to stop making excuses why we can not do the doable.

I have heard that verse a thousand times from Christians !
All that is God giving us a concession of what we were already doing.
The optimal diet has no animal products in it.
God created all things. In the garden we were not eating animals.
Read Isaiah, we will one day be at peace with them again.
It is not Gods desire that we want to eat animals.

Although if you eat a small amount of free range animals you can still have a healthy diet, if done correctly, according to my lifestyle plan.

In the garden they weren't. After the flood: Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you. Genesis 9.3. That's God speaking.

I am all for humor, but people are dying because of the way they eat. Some of them would be grateful to have this info.
IRL I do get paid for dispensing this info you know.
I am here because I want to help my fellow Christians...if they want to use the knowledge, that is...

Are you at all familiar with Genesis 1:29?
The ideal diet for us, before we got thrown out of the garden.

'That was God speaking.

Our bodies have not changed since then you know.

So why do you think that is no longer valid?

https://authoritynutrition.com/top-13-evidence-based-health-benefits-of-coffee/ Lists some of the benefits of drinking coffee.
I'm sure there are numerous sites that list the negatives.
This is laughable. ALL foods have some value. Even cyanide.
Coffee is a net minus food, meaning that it does more harm then good.

Please, if you want to drink coffee like a recreational sport, if someone is addicted to its taste or stimulation, or the pleasure they receive from it, then go for it.

Only realize it is not good for you.

Even us ignorant ones who ought to know better?

I don't know your background. But not everyone is as focused on the flesh, the body as you are. Some of us have time and budget constraints. We exercise. We eat good foods, but we also eat foods you would certainly prohibit. Not all of us are highly educated as you are.

You've answered my question. Had I known, I would never have enquired.

Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you. Genesis 9.3. That's God speaking.

How do you know that? Sincere question...

Tell me how you think we have changed?
Do you think we have evolved?
Does the bible even hint anywhere in any way of us changing in fundamental ways that His diet for us would no longer apply?

Can you answer the question or not? You made an assertion and I asked how you knew we have not physically changed since the garden of Eden. If you cannot answer, you could simply say so.

Glad you got a laugh out of it.
Now how about supporting your claims.
