I drink water almost exclusively. I love and crave ice water.
Sometimes I have a teeny bit of decaf coffee, preferably loaded with real cream and noooo sweetners. I'm not a milk fan but sometimes it's good for change. White only.

No juices because of the sugar content. No sodas, ever. I have not strayed from water in months. No treats at all.

So what is your drink diet?

There is only coffee.

No but seriously I drink a lot of coffee. I am a big fan of water and always have some around. I drink the odd OJ with my Beyond Tangy Tangerine. Maybe a glass of milk after certain meals. Sometimes I am in the mood for tea, usually either Earl Grey, Chamomile, or Chai Green Tea.

Amber, natural sugars are good for you. I drink lots of water and the occasional juice. Sometimes I have a soft-drink (soda). I also have tea - liquorice, Bengal spice etc. So you might say, I'd make a terrible Mormon. :p

Haha, well, I have a muscle problem so I've been trying to starve em down. It's helped. Can't wait to have a milkshake one day but I ain't risking it yet :) I know once I go back to sugary stuff it will be hard to stop. I really don't want to get caught up in it again. I like this healthy diet thing.

I love my hot tea. Maybe it's a British thing I've held onto :) I usually drink blue lady, tulsi, chai or earl grey, without milk, sometimes with a stick of cinnamon or honey.

I also drink a lot of smoothies with fresh fruit and protein. They're easy to just throw in the blender. My favorite is: raw milk, ice, banana and protein powder. Really tasty. Papaya also has a lot of health benefits :)

Protein powder? Yikes! What's raw milk? I thought all fresh milk is raw? Or do you mean non-pasteurized?

Not long ago people got TB, etc. from milk, so it became law that milk was to be processed. Lots of things are done to it like pasteurizing and homogenizing it, changing it from how the cows produce it. They call just plain milk with nothing changed in it raw milk.

I have a Berkey water purifier, it makes the water taste great and Ice cubes are different too. I drink a lot of 100% juice as well. Occasionally a glass of milk with cookies. BTW a Berkey is a purifier that you can put the yuckiest water you can think of in it and it comes out pure. Usually if there is some sort of worldly disaster you have to wait to get one because they get shipped where ever the disaster is.

Yes, but what sort of tea? There are so many varieties.

RedTent, thanks. I knew milk was processed nowadays. Does that mean raw milk is dangerous for humans?

Yes, as Lois said. Raw milk is straight from the cow. There is controversy over the safety of raw-v-pasteurized, but it's safe so long as the cow's healthy and clean and the farmer checks the health of his cows regularly. You just need to make sure it's always kept cold, so no bacteria can grow. I will never drink it if it's even a day past the use-by date. Pasteurizing milk actually strips it of most of it's nutrients and calcium. Raw milk is higher in calcium.

God gave us cows!!! :)

As for protein powder... everyone assumes they're just for bodybuilders. I'm not a bodybuilder, but I do work out a lot with my trainer and the protein is good for muscles. It has many health benefits, including boosting your immune system.

water is the most underrated beverage...but it has many many health benefits...i know of a person losing ten pounds in a week simply by adding more water to their diet...and in my own experience i can usually cure a migraine by drinking a bottle of water...

fresh fruit juice is also very good...and milk too...

Katy, thanks for the lesson on dairy milk.
As for protein powder, I'm not convinced. The stuff smells terrible. I'd rather just eat healthily, accompanied by lots of garlic, ginger, chili and other herbs and spices.

I used to drink milk in my tea, but my in-laws encouraged me to try it without. They were right, the milk just ruins the taste of the tea.

I love honey in tea. A stick of cinnamon is great, especially if you leave it to sit for a while :)

Green Tea, or just tea. To me I drink that everyday if I can, or water. It's a habit. :p

the need for pasteurization and the dangers of raw milk are actually directly related to how many antibiotics are given to cows nowdays...it has to do with antibiotic resistance and also how excessive use of antibiotics reduces the effectiveness of the cows' own immune systems...

milk from farms that -don't- give their cows antibiotics is actually safer to drink raw...and then the need for pasteurization is not as great...

there is actually a lower temperature pasteurization process that leaves a lot more of the nutrients intact...it isn't as commonly used though because the milk doesn't last as long...which means it can't be shipped as far or left on the grocery store shelves as long before expiring...

Not sure what ones you checked out, but most have a great vanilla smell. They don't taste so great with water, so I use milk. I usually have a smoothie for breakfast or after a workout. It doesn't change how I eat the rest of the day, I always try to eat well.

Somewhere I heard that spices prevent cancer. I love an Indian curry once in a while, but they have to be mild, I don't like too many spices or I'm coughing for hours afterwards. I'm really sensitive to it.
