Hold on a moment. Being Gay isn't something a person can just give up like peanut M&Ms and being celibate dosn't make them less gay. It takes a metamorphisis of mind and body to accomplish it. We are not talking bi, that's just an opertunistic way to get laid bet an un-natural attraction to ones own sex and often a repulsion to the opposite sex. It may require a miracle for some to change even though they know it's wrong.
I am agreement with you on this as serious psychological and spiritual issues are involved and perhaps neurological issues as well. It would take an act of God for change to occur and even then, it would probably occur gradually over period of years.

CS1 thinks the chamge should be immediate apparently or youre not truly a saved christian..cause you cant be both..
well just know that I have not saved you were not saved. but you have said I am not. wrong I’m saved and I do not identify with my sin anymore because I identify with Christ who has taken my sin. I am in the sanctification process and I do not say I am a drunk Christian, I am a gay Christian. That is unbiblical

first off metamorphisis transformation from an immature form to an adult form in two or more distinct stages. That is unbiblical in context to homosexuality. In a Biblical world view CHrist is the Factor of tranformation. the only stage we need is the Cross and faith in HIM. The miracle that makes this happen is called Salvation aka Born-again.
Lolololollololololol

I dont know ANYONE who is completely sanctified immediately and completely changed in chatector flaws just by a prayer of salvation..lol. Some people that come to christ have mever HEARD bout Jesus or stepped inside a CHURCH before thier comversion..

Step outside those conservative church doors..see some inner city folk n THEN we'll talk n i BET you'd change your tune...;)

Soooo..youre not really a saved christian if you arent chamged immediately? Cause we all know Christ can perform miricles and we ..thrpugh Christ should be completely transformed immediately or we lack faith in God that he can change us..right?(said sarvastically ;) )

Some people think that when people are truly saved they immedatly start speaking in tongues also. I think that we should forgive them for being neive.
that too is wrong and that has nothing to do with sin. or a new Christian who is being told that you( after being saved) identify with the sin Jesus saved you from. That is so dangerous if this is what Hyper grace is teaching TO Hell with it false teaching. You are placing people in bondage that they can never be free from the bondage of sin. Not the Jesus I serve.

It dosn't happen over night. I usually takes alot of hard work and practice. Were you ever believe in anything else before becoming a christian? And after becoming a member of our faith how long did it take you to change?

Yes..youre right..we are BOTH saved and our past sins define us NO MORE (thank you Jesus) but we STILL sin due to human nature and NON are sinless..we ALL continue to struggle and ALL cave to teptation..whether it be sexual perversion (porn..gay..etc) pride..arrogamce..lying..self righteousness etc..we ALL know what we struggle with so we have no place to judge ..some sins are more OBVIOUS than others but none stand before Him sinless...

Oh so what you are really objecting to is the phrase gay christian. I can accept that. I used to object to the phrase Mexican Or African American for similar reasons. "Which are you, you can't be both", I thought. My objection to the slang just made me sound like a racist so I just put it on the shelf.

lol no one said that duh. you very quick to speak about what you really don't know. i'm in street ministries and have been praying and seeing gay people saved and delivered from homosexuality snice the first hospital I visited in the 80’s with the first 100 people in California to contract aids. I too went to Thailand and ministered to children who had Aids in a small hospital. I have held that hands of people who were dying from Aids caused by homosexuality. For over 30 years and still seeing gang members and many street people get saved and clean off drugs the street and homosexuality. TO God be the glory and never have I ever told them they were still gay, or what sin they were saved from Jesus has changed them and they need to separate and be disciple. If that is your Idea of “conservative Church “ amen.

N i bet you just have them say a prayer..wave your magic wand and ALL thier problems n addictions etc magically go away right? And if they DONT well..they must not have enough faith in God cause a TRUE christian wouldnt still have any problems after comversion..right? Hmm

You might not have CALLED them gay but that doesnt mean thier literal temdencies went away..you just called them something different like calibob said..

We are indeed proclaimed to have positional sanctification.

Understanding positional sanctification is the way to know how to have a victorious Christian walk.

“By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Hebrews 10:10, NASB 1995).

We are mostly all endowed with certan spiritual gifts, especially after recieving the Holy Spirit they are not all the same. You know the scriptures well enough. Some people never get healed of anything, that dosn't make them unsaved.

you will not be here for much longer. I see you have nothing to add but insults . I do believe in prayer sorry that offends you. Nor do I have magically method to make them go away. I also testify to them from the point of what God has set me free from. The God I serve is no respecter of persons HE wants to save all. And the Power of Christ sets people free everyday. And I thank God for Him setting me free :)

The correct answer would be NO! (1 Cor. 6:9-11)

Yet some people think you could:

It is sad how deceived somebody can be.
You can be gay and a Christian, as long as you don't practice Sodomy. There's a many gay Christians who have converted and stopped acting on their urge to have sex with men. The temptation to do gay acts is not a sin, acting on them is.

Oh, It's a dialectic problem I see. I'd rather hear I'm a sinner saved by grace but that's not the way I was trained to talk.
