Parts of this do sound logical, but only if you've really bought in to other cultural ideas like the need to be finanically prepared before you have kids or that a man in his 20's or 30's isn't mature enough to want to settle down into a marriage. I also wonder where that would leave all those poor men in their 20's and 30's who want to get married if all the women their age are looking for men who are so much older than they are. And how unequal is this idea that men should get to enjoy their hobbies and pursue their interests until they're in their 50's but women should settle down and start having kids around the age of 20 while they're still young and energetic? Methinks your ideas are several hundred years out of date.
That's what's great about your cinder, you say things that I don't agree with, but seem reasonable. It's just my view, you can choose to disregard them, but maybe it will make sense to someone else.

There are many different Churches, but there is only one Jesus. Explain that one? Just like I posted my view that makes sense to me, but isn't credible to you. It's your choice, believe what you want. I honestly respect your demeanor, I think your the anti-kinda....Mean that in a good way. You are probably just as sarcastic as me?!?!

Anyways, rebuke me every time, it will be my pleasure. One last thing, I'm rubber, your glue, whatever you say, bounces off of me, and sticks to you!

There is an adult version, but this is a Christian site. Glad I could bring you back in time Lynx. Thanks for not comparing me to someone else in your post above. I would appreciate it, if you stopped doing that. Thanks in advanced.

Now you sound a bit like... eh, skip it. :p

Sorry, couldn't pass that one up. But your pseudo-scientific justification for "older guys want younger girls" DOES sound an awful lot like certain other guys here on this forum.

I don't think I ever had a pleasant interaction with you Lynx, putting the brakes on it in the future. God bless.

I can't tell whether I've been complimented or told to get lost. Or maybe I've been told that we reason the same way but you aren't really interested in discussing ideas that might lead you to change your opinons.

Can't say I see the problem with many different churches but only one Jesus anymore than I see the problem with there being many different cities but only one USA (or any other country) or only one president of a something.

And yes I do have a sarcastic side, but I've decided that I don't want to be the kind of person that mocks and alienates people online for her own entertainment. That just doesn't seem to be a good reflection of my lord (even when people really deserve it, it doesn't seem to be what he would do).

I'm calling you Cindy, unless you tell me to stop. Cindy, Cindy, Cindy. It's really like Cinderella. Do you have glass slippers?

I really don't like discussing things in details online, because it's mixed company, and you don't know where people are coming from. One on one is much more my style, in person even. You know what they say, when people assume?

You can send me secret sarcastic e-mails, you have my permission. If you don't want to, that is perfectly acceptable in this fallen world, where there is no hope ever....IF I ONLY HAD FUNNY SARCASTIC E-MAILS FROM CINDY, MY LIFE WOULD BE MORE FULFILLED. O.k., I was joking....But, if you feel the urge to be sarcastic and are afraid of the audience reactions, come to kinda.

In reality, I don't really like discussing topics, when I feel there is no hope of ever coming to common ground. It's like surfing when the waves are flat, what's the point? Hello Florida, what's up with your flat surf every single day. Don't mind me, it's not like I like to go surfing ever. DOH!

Well, I hear there is a woman's movement...Maybe you can get a law passed?

Honestly, CC has a tendency for topics to be more or less headed towards marriage, dating, and relationships. It's quite annoying. Maybe I need to disappear for awhile again.

You know what they did to the wisemen in Biblical times?
I am sorry to hear you are annoyed.

I have found these kind of topics to only be more frequent in the single forum, which of course makes sense but that doesn't mean all who are single are looking.

Yes, I think this site is geared towards Christian fellowship, discussing the word, sharing images, the news, laughter, visiting, prayer request, and miscellaneous things. However, some have found love here. I think that is rare but if so, I am very happy for them.

I just think when you see a thread that irritates you, go elsewhere, remembering that not every topic is for you.

I have been hesitant to discuss moments (it happens and passes) of loneliness, because that suggests, to some, I am actively or desperately seeking or pursuing, which I am NOT.

In closing, this particular forum offers fellowship to those sitting at the table for one. Discussing dating site experiences doesn't make this site a dating site. In my opinion, it is just merely conversation and fellowship on something that folks find interesting. Now if this topic was brought up in the BDF, that would be a very different story. Of course, all of this is just my opinion.

Anyone else wanna share stories on their experience with dating sites?

I wonder if people have found really good friends via a dating site? I think that would be cool. Although I can see it not happening as often.

Thanks Charlie for the kind response. Sorry for not fitting at times. I do come for the fun, games, and sharing a Bible verse or two. Let me know if I get out of hand, I will put myself in detention. The laugh thread was great. Peace.

Sorry for wrecking your thread, I will see my way out.

Cindy, you will just have to send an e-mail...This is a dating sharing thread.

I have heard many people say that this site is the best of the best. Just talked to one yesterday. No need to look anywhere else. The best people I have ever met, I have met here.

But derailing the thread is the only contribution those of us who haven't used dating sites can make to the conversation.
And I'd be kinda tempted to send you a message, but if you don't like discussing things, then there's kinda nothing for the e-mail conversation to be about. But you did give me an idea for a good thread discussion.

I like that. Thank you Cinder.

I tried a Christian site, and it had nobody closer than 300 miles away from me. I tried one secular site, and a couple of ladies showed interest and claimed to be Christian, but when I talked with them I discovered they clearly weren't. Otherwise, every single time I initiated contact, I received no response at all.
Yeah that’s kind of common story the no response thing. Happens to men and women alike

I think for some people age can be a big factor but if you have things in common with someone older it can be a friendship if nothing else...I know what you mean ArtsieSteph... there is kind of a line in the sand thing that has to go on... I would not want to date someone 15 years younger than me ... simply because I remember how I thought and it makes me shutter 😜
