oops I posted in wrong thread.
well shop lady says to boss man that shes going to make him some soup.
I didnt tell her that he isnt after soup, muffins or cakes, but she should be making bacon and egg pies, the. he will love her forever instead of hiding out in the backroom whenever she calls in.

as for my other workmate. I am rather concerned that shes providing rides for her drunken boyfriend in the middle of the night. I was like, um...what do you see in this guy?!

I can't understand why the shop lady tries to keep the boss man well fed since she is married. The boss man may need to have at talk with her.

Exactly, what does she see in that guy? She is setting up herself for a world of hurt with this boyfriend of hers. My counsel is to resign her position as his designated driver and sever all ties with him.

If this were to happen I am sure that the two of you would find a way to get a little closer to each other. Drop a the guy a hint that you may be interested and see what happens.

Estonia! I was there once, far too briefly, and fell in love with Tallinn. The red roofs on the homes, the cobblestone streets, the street musicians and old churches are lovely. It is a place I'd visit more in depth. What a great opportunity it would be to work there for a while.
Traveling in Turkey I learned so much more about my faith. I didn't realize that Tarsus was (and is) located in Turkey. Paul was a Turk! Being in Ephesus I saw the vendors and realized that these were the descendents for the people Paul addressed and that some were still selling trinkets depicting the idols. I thought of the courage it would have taken to approach these men and tell them that the gods they believed in were not real. I regret to say that I would have been afraid.
It was amazing to walk the same road as Paul, down to the ampitheatre where he spoke. I even saw the lighthouse in the distance where they said he was held captive. There is so much more, but I hope that one day, all these experiences are available to you.
It's okay. I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to get into a fight in another country either. I'm sure they'd chase me down the street. That must've been amazing. I bet it makes it feel all the more real. It's just images in my head now, and my imagination gets carried away. It'd be nice to see the actual places. Sometimes I have to remind myself that Paul isn't a legend, but an actual person who walked this Earth the way I do right now. I saw a lot of those sites in Rome. I want to go back so bad. I'm hanging in there.

I would happily work in Estonia. But we shall see what the Lord has in store. I'm sure I'll have plenty of stories to tell.

"Someone' may be preferably than anyone you already know. You just never know who you are going to meet.

people come into the shop all the time its totally random who comes in but when they sign in and leave their number we're not going to call them unless they have covid.

You will get called (not by me) if youve ordered a book in though.

Maybe some good looking guy will sign in and leave his number. You could call him and say that you are doing a health check. :)

hello im just ringing because you though you look good, you could have the virus and need to get tested. I dont know what looking good has anything to do with it. You could be the ugliest looking person and still carry the virus, or you could be female and carry it. It can infect anyone.

I recall on social media even the govt put out a misleading communication about people in certain areas needed to get tested when they actually didnt need to so it created a huge backlog people were queuing up for hours. I dont want to mess around with playing on peoples fears like that.

For the purpose of this 'wellness' check looking good has a lot to do with it but not the virus.

The good looking guy replies...

"Doctor, Doctor, gimme the news,
I got a bad case of lovin' you.
No pill's gonna cure my ill,

I got a bad case of lovin' you."

Where I worked the entire workforce had a mandatory test. The thing is, the results were not ready for 3 weeks, so the tests were irrelevant as it only shows who was healthy at the time of the test. Even if you could get an instant result, 5 seconds later you could become infected with the virus.

Instead of virtual date night may I suggest virtual fig night or some other various dried fruit?

Figs go well with good cheese...:)
I'm not much of a cheese eater but do enjoy a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. And, oh yeah, pizza of course. I do eat the occasional fig newton too. :)
