Absolutely! I never denied that. What I have explained through Scripture is that the adoption is future. It has not taken place yet. It is the future hope of the believer. Yes, we are sons now though the new birth, but our adoption is future. Remember, the adoption, as defined by Scripture, is the redemption of the body.
Eternal life also has a present and a future aspect too.

These things show that your conclusion about adoption does not follow from the premises. It’s your opinion.

So by quoting scripture word for word, I’m defending Arminianism? Thanks for that insight.
Like I said he can’t see past his
Preconceived ideas. He thinks your defending Arminianism now!:LOL::LOL:

I do not ascribe to total inability.

I read convict not convince

8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
How can you have faith apart from being convinced? Unless faith is forced on you?

Agree.
My point is that being convinced requires something from us as well, believing it ...otherwise the Holy Spirit would be 100% successful in every human being.

Is foreknowledge and predestination mentioned there?
I dare say your reading into a lot of verses to mean " I was picked before I was born "
Ephesians 1:4 says chose US before the foundation of the world. God said it, that settles it.
Notice you did it again ? Thats what you think everytime you mis quote the verse . Thats why calv/ minans also miss out ' in him ' . nearly everytime they quote Eph 1.4 . All you need the words ' chose ' ' us ' ' before ' and the mind fills in the rest . Not because of what the verses actually say in context, but because of a presupposition .

To understand verse 4, you need verse 3 because of the word according...
Yep. He blesses us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ according to (in accordance with the fact) that He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world.

Type out the whole verse in KJV. It will say the exact same wording I am saying.

I think oic and everyone of us agrees with that, yet it is the HS who does all the work (it’s the work of God)

which is why I am wondering why you keep harping on him

Not what we’re saying. Plus being convinced comes before believing. God’s work is always first. We respond to grace, NOT He responds to our faith.

Faith is a response to His Call. His Call is not a response to our faith.

Have you defined convince yet?
