I think that the New Jerusalem is clearly the combination of all the redeemed, both the Old Testament saints symbolized by the 12 gates and all the church symbolized by the 12 foundation of the apostles. This is the promise of both being one through Christ in the everlasting New heavens and new earth. Thus the New Jerusalem ordained as a bride is applied to both the OT saints and the Church as all are justified by faith in Christ alone.

The Bride of Christ is any person who has received His Spiritual Circumcision, the Circumcision made without human hands.
Colossians 2:11 KJV - "In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ . . ."
Would you say that your heart has been Spiritually Circumcised of the Curse? This is what Transformation is based upon . . . Spiritual Circumcision, and not physical circumcision, as the Jews had believed.
Acts 15:1 KJV - "And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, [and said], Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved."

Amen - Spiritual Circumcision (Born-Again) was/is always part of God's Will for His Congregation.
If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you. Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers. And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
Deut 30:4-6
For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

Jesus is my Passover, @Marilyn, because just as the blood of the lamb on the door frames of the Israelites allowed the angel of death to “pass over” their homes so that they could escape Egyptian captivity, the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God, shed on the cross for me, allows me to escape the penalty of death for my sins. My faith in Jesus, the Lamb of God, is pleasing to my Father and gives me access to His grace, salvation, and a covenant relationship with Him. I have faith that all His promises in scripture are available to me. Yes, I am part of the body of Christ, betrothed to Him.
Marriage is so much more than a walk down the aisle in a white dress, and I am certain that both Christian men and women view it as a faith-filled union, an alliance, a fusing together of hearts.

Since no one wanted to read/respond to my extended 'sermon' lol, I'll summarize here...
The aggregate collection of all believers is called the body of Christ. If you are saved, you are of His body.
Of this body, there will be three divisions:
1. Those who are God's bondslaves, who have willingly given up their freedom to be His slaves (these will be His Bride)
2. Those who are faithfully following Him in their daily walk (these enter into the wedding feast)
3. Those who have claimed His Name, but let the world ensnare them and keep them from bearing the fruit of good works (these are cast out for a time, to be 'purified by fire'.
To the woman who thinks this means men are going to change sex and become women, all I can say is, "wow".

A number of things, as you well know, that Christ is of the line of David and thus they cried out to Him, "Son of David, have mercy on me."
One of my favorites verses that i cling to = "Mercy triumphs over judgment" - James 2:13
Secondly, we know who the Tree of Life is - Amen
So, DavidTree combines these Two.
Thirdly, my name is David and the scripture says "And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.”
When we receive our Sight - should we not also see men as Trees, bearing either Good or bad fruit.

Have you ever figured out the link between David and Abraham? I'm still wrapping my head around this concept, but no doubt, it is very, very deep.

Isaiah 61:3 NIV - ". . . and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor."
And we shall stand tall, and with a balanced sense of Godly Pride. We will be strong, accepting hatchet and scorn, but we will survive. There will come those who will rest in our branches, and there will be those who will rest in our shade. But we ARE Oaks of Righteousness, for the Lord's Grace is sufficient . . . and we are complete in Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.
And we shall stand tall, and with a balanced sense of Godly Pride. We will be strong, accepting hatchet and scorn, but we will survive. Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. - Rom 9:7
Now see the connection - Abraham is the Father and his only begotten son, Isaac, thru Sarah.
Isaac was the Promise from God to Abraham/Sarah to reveal to us that Jesus is the Promise of the Father
Now King David was chosen by God to be King over Israel - not chosen by man.
David committed adultery and pre-meditated murder(the worse kind) - yet God had Mercy on him.
Therefore David is the Son of Abraham for the Father sent His Son so that Mercy triumphs over judgment.
And Christ is both King and Priest according to the Order of Melchizidek = just as David ate the Show-Bread that was forbidden but only for the Priests.
Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. 24And the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”
25But He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: 26how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?”
27And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. 28Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”

BTW: The killing of Urijah is tricky, as he belonged to the Seven Nations, those called by God to be completely destroyed and wiped out. Urijah was a Hittite . . . an "abomination." So, if David were to have killed him, this would have been in alignment with the thousands of other slayings that he committed. Interesting, nonetheless.
