If you could live anywhere ON EARTH, where would you live and why?

Oh, and PUH LEESE don't say "Heaven" cuz... ;P In fact, I'm gonna add "on Earth" to the thread title now. Just getting ahead of things.

This is actually a hard question for me. I think I could enjoy living in a lot of different places. The desert. A mud hut in the woods. An airship.

An airship? But .....that's not on earth.

US West Coast... Anywhere between the giant redwoods and the beach

I love the town I live in. It's a tiny town in Texas. I wouldn't leave unless it was to pursue a better job in the city or if I got married and he wanted to take me somewhere else.

There’s no place like home, but if I had to use my imagination, I wouldn’t mind living somewhere where there’s the country side and the ocean nearby 😊

Id love to visit Scotland and see if I'd like living there. Its beautiful (but cant make a decision on just that alone)

Well my family is here in southwest TN, and my church is here, and the cost of living is low here, and it's really quite comfortable here, so... I'd stay here.

I mean I COULD move somewhere else and still be happy. But I'd only like it there as much as here if I could move my whole family and church family to there.

Yeah, I'm pretty boring. No imagination at all. But I'm happy.

It sort of floats above the earth until it crashes.

I spent some time in Texas in 1972 for military training in San Antonio and Wichita Falls.

Let's see. I've been a lot of places in the world and still have a hard time answering this question. But some of my criteria would be:

1) English speaking
2) not too crowded
3) lots of nature nearby and accessible
4) Doesn't get too hot or too cold
5) Reasonably safe
6) good logistics so I can get everything I need
7) has forests and beaches and mountains

So I guess the north part of the south island of new Zealand, parts of Oregon \ california, or southern scottish coast (maybe island of Arran) could all fit that bill. But I'm probably staying right here for things like work, family, ease of caring for dog who doesn't like other people or dogs, etc.

Any conservative state to finally have freedom and basic rights back

If I could transport my present purchasing power (not necessarily my job or income per se), I might consider Ireland. However, there are many places I haven't visited yet.

Wonder if the mud hut in the woods has a washer / dryer hookup.
