The bible is clear, cover your hair when you pray!

Why call yourself christian when not wanting to follow what bible says?
We live in a time where people do not like being told what to do that claim Christianity concerning what they wear, and how they have their hair looking at it as if it does not matter.

1Co 11:2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
1Co 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

This is the authority structure of God on Earth in the flesh, but a man and woman are equal in the Lord.

1Co 11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
1Co 11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
1Co 11:6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
1Co 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

1Co 11:10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

1Co 11:13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
1Co 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
1Co 11:16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

The covering is hair not a headscarf.

Which the woman is to have long hair because of the angels who are last in the authority structure.

A man should have short hair because they are in the image of God, and it is a shame for a man to have long hair.

A woman should have long hair, and if she cuts it then it is the same as if she is shaven, but if it is a shame for her to be shaven she should not cut her hair.

A man should cut his hair, and a woman is to not cut her hair, because God wants a distinction between a man and a woman in the authority structure.

If a man has long hair he puts himself in the position of a woman, and if a woman cuts her hair she puts herself in the position of a man, which they are out of the authority structure of God.

A man should have short hair because they are in the image of God which means Jesus had short hair, but some people portray Him with long hair.

And for people that say but Samson had long hair, he was not in the image of God, for after Adam and Eve sinned no person was in the image of God until Jesus came and then the people that received the Spirit, for the image of God is an innocent nature in flesh.

1Pe 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
1Pe 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
1Pe 3:5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands.

Also the Bible says the women should not adorn the outside appearance like having hairstyles, or jewelry, or the wearing of clothes to look fancy, but they should focus on their inside appearance to have a meek and quiet spirit, which the women in the Old Testament did the same thing.

But again we live in a time where people do not like being told what to do that claim Christianity concerning what they wear, and how they have their hair looking at it as if it does not matter.

God wants a distinction between a man and a woman in the authority structure of God on Earth.

Oh but that is legalistic even when God said that is what He wants.

Oh our sin does not affect our relationship with God as they hold on to sin but God is against us holding on to sin which is why we have the Holy Spirit to cause us to abstain from sin, and a Spirit led life will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

It is over, and with the new age movement that caused the 1960's counter culture movement to get them away from the 1950's attitude, and having a hand in the feminist movement, LGBTQ community, and the Woke movement, and producing hypocrites claiming Christianity, and causing people to stray from Christianity, that the nation will soon be given over to the new age movement interpretation of the Bible that exalts people, and there is no God.

Which the Bible says the time will come they will not want to hear the truth of the Bible, but according to their own lusts.

There are too many hypocrites claiming Christianity to be able to fight against it.

And the American government was claiming God, and the Bible, but it was a lie to keep the Christians from speaking out too loud that would put a damper on their agenda.

And they laughed at the way they pulled the wool over the Christians eyes, and made them think it was a Christian nation, but it is an occult nation that allowed all religions to be practiced there, and made the Christians think Christianity will come back like before, but it never will.

If you want to defeat your enemy, you side with your enemy, and then you change them to your beliefs, say the occult forefathers.

And the new age movement also infiltrated the Vatican to change them from within to get the Pope of their choosing that will go along with the New Age Christ, antichrist.

The United Nations supports new age organization and are with the new age movement as well as Science.

Thought it was kumbaya. but what do I know. :)
The word "kumbaya" is believed by many music historians to be pidgin English
— and a transliteration — for the prayerful plea to God: "Come By Here."

Well, the veil has been torn and we now have access to the real holy of holies through Christ. We are encouraged to come boldly to the throne of grace. We no longer need a high priest to offer sacrifice for us each year but our High Priest has once and for all made an end to sacrifice and made us all priests.
The shadow of things is gone. We have a new and everlasting covenant.
Hebrews 10:18-20
Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh.

Temple Veil=water and the blood.

Ive quoted about the whole section but okay lol

“Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.

But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

( that’s the issue he’s addressing )

Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? ( because he’s covering his head )

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. ( because that’s the covering God made for women’s head )

But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.”( but it’s actually not worth arguing about because here is no rule regarding this in the church )
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:4-5, 13-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s not rocket science to understand the Bible you just read what the people have written like that section it’s pretty plainly stated what he’s talking about you just have to read it
subjugation of women by men, you see it in all faiths and societies

Yes I do too.

We always wore a hat to the “church of Christ” Sunday school.
And one day I heard two women trying to persuade a new lady not to wear a headscarf when she comes to church. (I was a child, and sad that they spoke to her like that)
she replied that
it was the normal thing to always do in church, back home.
(She was new from England.)

we cannot assume that all women who wear a headscarf is Muslim or Brethren or EB.
Because it is not so.

I believe women are to be under a man's authority ideally. "The woman was made for the man not man for the woman." Not that we are doormats or that we are any less than a man, it's just God's plan.

I understand and I agree in a perfect world, all men would be just like Jesus.
Millions of women are persecuted by men even now. I know its a bit extreme but millions of women have to cover their heads or risk being put to death, and many women have been. In the last few weeks a Iranian woman was imprisoned for not wearing a headscarf.

The verse you quoted does not support your stated position. ;)

Genesis 3:16 God says to the woman, “Your desire will be to your husband, but he will rule over you.” Thats not a statement of God’s plan, but is the consequence of sin… men will rule over women.

As I've said before in other threads, I am a complementarian who supports male headship in the church and the home. That should not be extended to the secular world, though.

Wives are to submit to their OWN husbands, as to the Lord.

Women are not to be pastors or elders and/or usurp authority from a man (I believe the usurping applies to both the home and the church).

That being said, it does not follow that all women are to be subject to all men. In the secular world, a woman would be subject to a man if he was, say, her boss, a law enforcement officer, a government official, that kind of thing.

I can't find anywhere in Scripture in which God calls it a sin for a woman to be in a position of authority under any circumstances. Only that, as I said above, she cannot be a pastor or elder in the church or be the head of her husband at home.

I guess the context is the woman being the glory of the man in 1 Cor. 11. I thought that the main idea of that passage was headship and submission, because Paul says earlier in the chapter, "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of every woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." (vs. 3)

I do realize that man ruling over woman was a consequence of the fall. But the reason Eve was created, to a large degree, was to be a helper to Adam.
