John, why do you suppose God put "restrictions" on sex? I'd really like to know your opinion. To be honest, I truly don't fully understand why He did, however I do believe that He did it because it's not the best thing & it will definitely a/effect marriage.

It is a beautiful picture of Christ's deep and committed faithfulness to His Bride, the Church. God likewise requires that her eye be single towards Him. We are currently betrothed to Him and the Marriage shall soon be consummated in Heaven once we have been raptured and glorified together with the saints of the past.

John 14:

To try and put controls on men's sexual desires. This is clear from Paul saying, "It is better to marry than to burn with lust"

How would getting married control carnal desires? I don't get that...
I mean, yeah it might be good to have a female "handy"... but if you're driven by lust and the secretary at work is willing?

Why did Paul say this:

1 Cor. 6 (ESV)

13 ...The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her?

This is just one example among many of why people need the Lord.

Why people need to humbly concede that Father knows best.

Scripture does not say God and two angels, that's just an assumption you've adopted. There's no mention of angels in this passage, as a matter of fact, and I'm pretty sure that neither are any these men referred to as angels in the account of Lot's rescue and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. They are Adonai, Himself, since they are referred to in the plural but answer in the singular.

I haven't adopted any Greek myths, even though the most common ones like this where gods mate with humans and create Titan offspring by just swapping angels for gods and titans for Nephilim.

Well, God told this Story to Moses in the HEBREW. Moses wrote it in the HEBREW. Less errors occur when we read this Chapter in the HEBREW.

Exactly and this is way God tells us. There was Anakim in Canaan in those days when the Hebrews came into the land of Canaan. Its the same thing as in Gen 6

There were giants on the earth in those days and also afterwards When the Sons of Seth married the descendants of Cain.

The whole reason for the verse is so we can know the Nephilim are not the specific result of these unions for they were already there existing beforehand in those days.

They believed they could have sex with them:

5 And they called out to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have relations with them!”

וַיִּקְרְא֤וּ אֶל־לוֹט֙ וַיֹּ֣אמְרוּ ל֔וֹ אַיֵּ֧ה הָאֲנָשִׁ֛ים אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֥אוּ אֵלֶ֖יךָ הַלָּ֑יְלָה הוֹצִיאֵ֣ם אֵלֵ֔ינוּ וְנֵדְעָ֖ה אֹתָֽם׃

They want to have Relations or be Intimate with them. They clearly believe these are MEN who can be used for sex.

They were messengers, people not angels.

That's funny. Since angels are in fact messengers from God, and messengers from God are in fact angels, what a quaint observation. It is because they were angels that they had the power and strength to drag Lot and is family out of Sodom.
