Marital rape is different to lust - one is a crime in most places, the other is a sin. And by definition, a man cannot lust over his wife anymore than he can steal his own possessions. To be unloving doesn't mean that one is lustful. Words mean something, and we should be careful not to contort them, to inhibit evil men using the language for evil purposes. "Hate speech" is an example of where sloppy/lazy word usage may lead.
Where is the word "lust" used in a positive way in scripture?

And but the way a wife is not a possession like a car is a possession.

Growing up, I was told all masturbation was a sin.

Matthew 5:28 says "But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

To me, this means Porn/Masturbation is a sin.

My question is, is it a sin to masturbate while thinking or looking at your wife? (not at porn)

I mean, when my wife is not willing or able to be intimate with you (For example; time of the month), is it ok?
Am I allowed to lust over my wife?
Lusting and desire are two different things. Hard to imagine a husband having sexual thoughts about his wife is considered lusting.

I’ve been drinking Folgers coffee for years but now I’m switching to Maxwell House. ☕️
Can't believe that drinking Folgers is an offense that risks being banned. I drink Folger's in my travel mug but drink Newman's Own Organic coffee in pods so I should be OK.

I'm saying that the water alone doesn't lead to life. A man spilling his seed instead of laying with his wife is a sin. In the spiritual sense he is denying the blood. Scripture says not to deny your wife, or don't deny your husband.
Your rational sounds a bit flaky to me. Don't get that denying the blood bit either.

I never heard it being a sin for spilling the seed..
What about birth control ( condom). Or "pulling out"?
Or what if I had a vasectomy?
Valid points that merit consideration for sure.

I think that is the point Tourist it should be "desire" not lust, lust is devoid of love.

Husband and wife are one flesh .
You're talking about the water and the blood.

Ezekiel 36:25-26
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

The stony heart is the stone that Moses struck and water came out.I had a heart that was covered with the water, and now he has given me a heart covered in the blood.

Spiritually speaking,if a man or woman are not coming together and becoming one flesh(water and blood) but instead doing the deed solo, you are doing so against the Word of God.That's why masturbation is a sin.Regardless of that person thinking of their loved one while doing so.

Unless you were born in a test tube or virgin birth, everyone was born through the water and blood. And must be born again.

Which part? The heart of flesh relating to man and women becoming one flesh?.You,a man that's the bride becoming one flesh with the groom?
Is that a stretch?
The ‘heart of flesh’ is contrasted with a heart of stone and was spoken prophetically with regard to Israel and the (then) future coming of the Holy Spirit. It has nothing to do (directly) with the physical marital relationship.

Does the following mean it was a sin to do so?
In the old testament?
I am not so sure that the spilling of the spilling of the seed but it could be the reason why.

Genesis 38:8-10
8 And Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife and marry her, and raise up an heir to your brother.” 9 But Onan knew that the heir would not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in to his brother’s wife, that he emitted on the ground, lest he should give an heir to his brother. 10 And the thing which he did displeased the Lord; therefore He killed him also.

NKJV Study notes.

38:8 to your brother’s wife: In the ancient Middle East, for a man to die without leaving a son was regarded as an incalculable loss. A person’s memory was preserved in his descendants. In order to maintain the family line and the name of the deceased, a brother or another near relative would marry the man’s widow and father a child that would carry on the man’s family. This is called levirate marriage, from a Latin word meaning “husband’s brother.” The custom became part of the Mosaic Law (Deut. 25:5–10; Ruth 4:1–12).
38:9 emitted on the ground: Because of his own selfishness and wicked attitude toward his deceased brother, Onan would not allow his brother’s widow to conceive a child. He feared the child would perpetuate the name of his brother Er and not his own.
38:10 The Lord judged Onan, just as He judged Er (v. 7).

On earth as it is in heaven. My genes that came from my parents became one flesh that resulted in me, by my father and a mother coming together and being one flesh. You are given a heart of flesh after the water and blood become one.The bride and groom become one flesh.

1 John 5:8
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

The Lord declares that all first born's are his. He's made a way for us not only in our physical birth, but also our spiritual birth through the water and the blood.

Is using birth control a sin in your estimation? Or having sex with your spouse with a zero chance of conception? Is it impossible to become one flesh with your spouse under these circumstances, having sex without a chance of pregnancy?

Not at all clear to me, even though I have been reading the bible over 50 years, if masturbation is a sin or not. Could be or maybe not, but God's grace is sufficient regardless. Jesus understands the human condition quite well, and rather dealing with us fairly, is full of mercy and compassion.

This is a copy and paste from one of my post in the thread that talk about conception.

I wasn't getting at that a man and woman getting together is only for procreation. I'm talking about masturbation being the sin.Even if they're thinking of their loved one.
God sets aside himself a remnant.Your 5 children. The seed that beats out all the others to get to the egg.Laying down with your loved one doesn't always result in children. All first borns are his, and our bodies are made in the image of the Ark of the Covenant. So you are placing an offering on the alter.
I'm not Catholic, and not attending any physical Church.

I mentioned that I also believe that it pleases God that a husband and wife come together and become one.

Is it ok for a husband and wife to mutually masturbate each other?

I think that is the point Tourist it should be "desire" not lust, lust is devoid of love.
Love has nothing to do with it. Lust is the same as the sin of adultery, because the wife belongs to another man. It is similar to coveting, but while coveting relates to another man's possessions, adultery relates to lying with another man's wife. King David may have loved Bathsheba, but it was adultery when he took her because she was Uriah's wife. It was lust when he looked at her with desire, because she was Uriah's wife. How well or how poorly he did or didn't treat her has nothing to do with his sin - she was another man's wife, and he treated her as his own. That is the sin.
