Boston cream cake sounds really good. I have loved cream horns forever. My mom told me she ate them all the time when she was pregnant with me. It explains why I can eat a whole pack by myself lol

How about we kill 2 birds with one stone... maple bacon cupcakes (I use 2 whole packs of bacon) so you have your meat and your sweets all in one !

TWO whole packs of bacon?!

Our Pippy certainly knows the way to a man's heart.

I mean, if her beauty, charm, sense of humor, and overall sweet Southern personality doesn't get to a man's heart -- then the cholesterol from 2 packs of bacon most certainly will. :D

Besides, I think pipp might have it with the Boston cream...... that sounds really good

I'm happy to see we've apparently come to an acceptable trade-off, and we didn't even need to hand over any unicorns (whew.)

Many thanks to everyone for their creative ideas and offerings!!

I admit though, I still have to tip my hat off to the people who said I should just grab the goods and RUN.

Except that Jacob is like 2 feet taller than I am, so it would have been like watching a short dwarf try to outrun a tall elf.

Just imagine Gimli trying to outrun Legolas:

I can make chocolate oatmeal (no-bake) cookies JUST like my grandma's. In fact when I made some and she tasted them, she said "They're just as good as mine" and she sounded a bit disappointed, like she had lost her throne or something.

I can make pretty good chocolate chip cookies too.

And cornbread. And fried taters. And a few other good ole southern cooking things.

Any of that help?
These are all good things. I understand about grandma getting disappointed. My late mother-in-law was the same way about her cooking and baking. Actually, she was not the best of cook's or baker's. Now my mom, yeah, that lady could cook. Still miss her cooking after all of these years.

I'm curious to hear what people have to offer to help. It's going to be a hard bargain though. Grams baked goods are like unicorns.... Majestic. You can't just glue a rod on a horse and call it a unicorn 😂
Most grams cooking is mouth-watering, yummy, scrumptious.

So it's looks like we've already collected:

1. Homemade chocolate chip cookies that rival Lynx's Grandma's,
2. Fried taters,
3. Cornbread, and,
4. 1-2 spare unicorns.

Excellent.

We'll see what everyone has to offer/suggest. :D
Hopefully, the unicorns are not roadkill.

Um I thought this was a biblical thread and Jacob was really after some venison stew (or mess of pottage) that you hunted and killed yourself.
If cant handle meat then red refried bean nachos?
I'm down with dem nachos.

Or good old fashioned Georgie Pie, most popular one is mince and cheese.

Except Georgie Pie doesnt exist anymore. However nz bakeries have large selection of meat pies, of which my favourite would be potato top.
In my experience men tend to like steak and mushroom, or bacon and egg.

I have never ever eaten meatloaf, though sausage rolls are the staple food for bribery at morning tea time in nz workplace gatherings all over the country, with tomato sauce. Or asparagus rolls.

No fruit mince pies but mini real beef mince pies called savouries, and you just can eat them in two bites.
Meatloaf can be a great dish if properly prepared. Need some mash potatoes and green beans too.
