Doesn't matter if they agree to let her go, she can be discharged AMA (Against Medical Advice). As long as there is no legal guardian that can override you. I would get a lawyer to write the letter demanding her discharge.

What you are describing certainly sounds like a place I would not trust with my mother.
I don't. We need respiratory help and can't get her that anywhere.

I'm sorry that you are going through this and hope that you don't have to alone. We had to endure a similar situation with both my father-in-law and my brother-in-law within two consecutive years. The former wasn't able to speak clearly and the latter not able to speak at all after one life changing moment. My sis-in-law had to go through the ordeal with my brother-in-law alone since he left home and stayed with her for some time to resettle. But she spoke to him as I spoke to my father-in-law, believing that they could hear and understand even if they couldn't reply. Remembering "faith comes by hearing,' I spoke the gospel to my father=in=law, and he appeared to be listening because when I finished, he said, "I feel better." But, up to that point, his speech was incoherent, mumbled and slurred. I couldn't sleep one night and thought to go in just to sit with him. I slipped in and turned on a turner classic movie on near silent and when he stirred and noticed me there and I turned to look at him and he, sternly, asked me, "why?" (he didn't like anyone to fuss and worry over him) so I simply said, "because I love you."

Well, that started what an eavesdropper might've heard as gibberish but, I understood, he quickly replied, "I love you too...but my back is weak, and my knees have been giving me trouble for over 20 years, and my feet..." so I stopped him and said, "I know... but, could you just wait until after Father's Day?....I can't let go on Father's Day.." and he let an exasperated sigh and said, "Okay" and laid his head back into his pillow but said nothing more.

What had led up to that, and why I found it impossible to sleep that night, is that it had happened earlier that he had been trying to tell his sons gathered around him to remove the iv drips and pointing at the mechanism they were attached too. And everyone knowing him, knew he hated the thought of being a burden to any of us no matter what we thought of it. And we miss him so very much.

So, when I noticed the lesion on my mom's person when she leaned over her garden that same summer, and she tried to tell me she wasn't going to bother having anyone look into it when I inquired about it, I said, "oh no, not this time, not now, not when I just lost so...." she knew what a great loss I meant, her having known him, so, for once, she obeyed me, and I took her immediately to someone that sent by ambulance to the cancer treatment center where she began what stretched out as a five-year regime of treatment that culminated with an "attempted" continuation of 'preventive' care at which time I offered my "okay" that she discontinue if she felt it was hurting her more than helping(I realized she wouldn't have quit them, and wouldn't have asked if she could even had she wanted to except that I had given my uncoerced consent). And she, as in the beginning, immediately discontinued the treatments. She still notes to me the debilitating effects from them, but she's still with me and I check in on her, and dad, who is going through many challenges of his own, regularly. But I don't think I'll ever be able to "prepare" myself for the inevitable that we all have to endure sooner or later.

My oldest brother-in-law told us, that evening of Father's Day coming up on 10 years ago, that we should go home and get some rest and he would remain with him, and so we went home. And not being able to sleep, about the moment I breathed out a prayer for comfort to let go, two hours after midnight, his first-born son called to let us know that he had gone to his rest.

Especially at a time that only reveals all of our helplessness, I hope, somehow, this helps, somehow, in this difficult time to endure.

Can't you just get oxygen tanks?
The story is that she requires a ventilator, suction machine, stomach tube feed AND full time nursing care 24/7 to go home.
The Dr can write a Rx for those, but insurance only covers a portion of nursing care.
I just talked to a respiratory therapist and she said that most families have opted to do it alone because it's just too costly. However, it is extremely hard work.
I know how that is because my Dad had CHF along with a couple other conditions. I was doing it by myself and got blood vessel break down and a heart condition quickly. I eventually recovered by the grace of God. No regrets whatsoever because that's what families are supposed to do.

The respiratory therapist said that vent patients are usually children. I think that's, because the hospice eliminates the elderly.
The hospital can provide occasional" vacation" to the family to care for the patient to allow a short time for travel.
The home units plug into the wall and need calibrated specially for the patient by the respiratory tech.

I was hoping that my brother's family might be willing to spread the work, but that's not looking like it will happen.

This is what happens to so many people.
Canadian Comfort Care< MAIDS Act.

Forced on by hospitals that caused the deadly problem, putting the poor patients and families in impossible situations.
Please pray for them too.

My Mom is going through this now. Although she's been poisoned by the Covid shot and blood transfusion, there have been serious things that have been harmful according to their protocol.

Watch the video to the end if you want to know the hideous nature of the Canadian and USA "end of life care," they euphemistically call "comfort Care."
It described how these people are drowning people to death, akin to waterboarding torture. They do this chemically with lung paralytics.

My brother and I need serious wisdom and the right open door to give Mom the chance to survive while we pay our/ her bills.

URGENT!

My Mom is in the middle of the hospital scam and the push for murder by hospice is the only option my brother can see at this time.

They just handed us a Financial Responsibility form tonight that requires $76,000 up front plus $2-3,000 / day.

Please pray that she will be accepted at Encompass Rehabilitation this week. She is going to need strengthening, NOT some sinister strangers increasing and mixing meds until murder occurs. I am doing what I can to get her out of there and care for her. I need my brother's family to help too though.
This evening, all I got were some tears and a bunch of excuses why he thinks nobody can schedule time to help. Please pray for him too.

Friends have recommended the PT at Encompass because their family have done well with their program.

Mom needs God's help .
We really do.
Please pray

We pray that God will strengthen you and your family in the days ahead and that He will heal your mother quickly.

We also pray that God will provide a means to meet your financial requirements for the care required during her recovery.

Encompass has an excellent reputation here.

Thank you so much Billyd!

Likewise to all who are praying.
I will do another update of answers ASAP.
Tomorrow will be the first time since Mom was admitted that I feel ok about going out of town for a day. Praise the Lord, Mom is improving!!! 🥲
Please pray for her safety and continued progress. There's been a trend of improvement and malpractices by individual accidents that should not happen. Most staff are great, but weird over the top things have happened. Will fill you all in.

Also please pray for souls to be saved as I travel to Somerville, WV to preach the gospel to a group and house to house.

Seeing souls saved is a tonic that momentarily lifts one from all burdens and gives us focus. I often sense that meaning when going about my daily life which has many of the characters your mother is experiencing - not the condition - rather the brutal character of life for many people.
