    Baptism, the simple version.

Do you think Paul was planting flowers, Apollos was watering them, and God made them grow, giving them increase??? You are the one that's making dumb, laughable comments! 1 Cor 3:5-9 5Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man...

    Baptism, the simple version.

You got that wrong and you're not understanding Paul's statement in 1 Cor 1:17. Read a bit further to understand what he meant. Read 1 Cor 3:6. Paul says he planted and Apollos watered. Paul was the orator, Apollos baptized.

    Baptism, the simple version.

Baptism is a germane part of the salvation process. You're not saved until you're baptized. And its NOT a "to tell every witness-----" anything. Read the account of the conversion of the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8. He was preached the gospel of Christ by Philip which obviously included the need...

    Baptism, the simple version.

If you knew nothing of baptism and weren't baptized you weren't saved. Read the account of the Ethiopian eunuch's conversion in Acts 8. He knew nothing about baptism nor Jesus! He was preached the gospel by Philip which obviously the subject of baptism as confirmed by the verbal exchange...

    Spiritual gifts:Unconfusing them part 3 - analogy

The most important question is exactly that: THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION. And the subject of this thread is irrelevant as relates thereto. But the fact of the matter is you understand neither.

There is and can only be One truth not multiple truths. Most people don't seek truth but allow their preconceived ideas to get in the way.

    Spiritual gifts:Unconfusing them part 3 - analogy

You both, you and Niki7 need to study the scriptures carefully and let them lead you instead of making comments about things you don't clearly understand or assume. The coC is 100% correct on the single most important thing, and that's salvation. Everything else is secondary. What did people...

    Baptism, the simple version.

See my previous post #6 which applies here to you well. Finding a single scripture that justifies your position while ignoring all the others that don't because they add more requirements, is cherrypicking and makes no sense and would result in scripture conflicting with scripture which is not...

    Baptism, the simple version.

You don't know what you're talking about and are contrary to scripture. Mark 16:15-16 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Belief + baptism =...

See my comments made in post #7 which apply here to you as well. I'm not wrong nor are the scriptures I adhere to and cite.

    Spiritual gifts:Unconfusing them part 3 - analogy

I don't believe in anyone's doctrine. I read, study, and come to my own conclusions based on where the scriptures lead. Most people honestly don't do that and have preconceived ideas and try to manipulate the scriptures to agree with their own notions. Not a good idea nor sound doctrine in and...

    Spiritual gifts:Unconfusing them part 3 - analogy

Giving and receiving the Holy Spirit is exactly that: the Holy Spirit and not gifts manifested by or through the Holy Spirit.
