    Baptism, the simple version.

Faith only doesn't save, and you can point to as many stand-alone scriptures you like, but doing so on a stand-alone, cherrypick basis means nothing and demonstrates your lack of scriptural understanding.

    Baptism, the simple version.

Nowhere in the scriptures is faith only required for salvation. Once agai n, look at ALL the scriptures. I'll leave it at that with you. Goodbye

    Baptism, the simple version.

Belief and faith go hand-in-hand and are number 1. You must believe and then do, be obedient. If you don't believe you'll do nothing.

Read the aforementioned and posted Romans 10:9-10 again. Verse 10 tells you.

    Baptism, the simple version.

By the heart. Gotta here the word first. You'll either believe it or you won't. The Ethiopian eunuch was preached the word by Philip and his preaching obviously included the need for baptism which is evident by the questions asked of him by the eunuch. He heard, believed, confessed his belief...

    Baptism, the simple version.

Look at it like this as relates to absolute necessity. Acts 2:38 clearly says baptism is for the remission of sins. Sin separates you from God; so how can you be saved while still in sin? You can't. Therefore, baptism is essential to salvation. Note too in that passage, you receive the gift of...

    Baptism, the simple version.

"8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast." I'm perfectly comfortable with the above Ephesians scripture which is in perfect harmony with all other related scripture on the subject of baptism and...

    Baptism, the simple version.

Unfortunately, there are a great many so-called Christians that either don't understand the simple principles of baptism and/or just flat out reject baptism as a requirement of salvation. They don't accept the very simple language of the bible that very clearly indicates that baptism, immersion...

Where does it say you will receive at least one spiritual gift? No such thing in the bible.

    Spiritual gifts:Unconfusing them part 3 - analogy

Repent and be baptized for the remission of sins. Very plain and understandable. "And" is a conjunction with h inextricably ties the two together. BOTH then are required. And for what reason? To have your sins forgiven. It says notning about belief but doesn't need to; it's implied .Belief and...

    Spiritual gifts:Unconfusing them part 3 - analogy

There is one truth not multiple truths. And if you think numbers are justification of a position, you are very naive. Matthew 7:14 14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

    Spiritual gifts:Unconfusing them part 3 - analogy

Sorry your reading and understanding abilities are limited, but that's exactly what it says Acts 2:38 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    Spiritual gifts:Unconfusing them part 3 - analogy

Sorry, I do get perturbed at times dealing with people who seemingly aren't interested in seeking truth nor studying, and resort to calling someone a troll because they are dumb and like being that way. And fyi, I do for sure have an agenda, and that is truth, primarily go save souls, but also...

    Spiritual gifts:Unconfusing them part 3 - analogy

I'm not sure what your point is. Acts 2:38 means upon baptism into Christ your sins are forgiven and you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, the indwelling of the Spirit and not gifts of the Spirit meaning those listed in 1 cor 12:8-10. It seems like you're saying the same. ??

    Spiritual gifts:Unconfusing them part 3 - analogy

You can disagree all you like. I'm looking at the words of scripture closely to ascertain meaning and truth as opposed to just forming an opinion based on nothing. The word in Acts 2:38 is "gift", singular, not gifts, plural. And to your second point based on nothing, that's why the apostles...

    Spiritual gifts:Unconfusing them part 3 - analogy

Receipt of the Holy Ghost as a gift per Acts 2:38, but not the manifestations of the Spirit, gifts. Acts 2:38 relates only to the Spirit itself, it's indwelling, not the manifestation of it.
