how do we share the gospel

As a student, I went out with Campus Crusade club at the time doing sharing with university students. We would go at lunch time around the campus with tracts, sharing the gospel. The issue looking back with the campus Crusade tract was how people would interpret 'turning from sins' before...

Sometimes I go door knocking around houses nearby the church building. With another church member. We have a card with the gospel summarized on the back and an invite to our church on the front. We give the card inviting them to service..and then ask if they are christian and/or attend...

Please help me to respond to some of my non-trinitarian friends

I've never really liked the term 'persons' because it makes me think of entirely separate beings. But there aren't alot of better terms to describe the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are personal and distinct. My pastor likes 'persona'.

    Jehovah’s Witnesses

We've talked about this before, but for some reason..many are accepting baptismal regeneration. It seems to be more and more popular. It's not the h20 that saves..it's Jesus. 😀

They had already believed. They didn't believe at the point of baptism. They were already called disciples before baptism. Apollos was mighty in the scriptures, and they were his learners. Apollos was corrected in the right way.. of baptism. He had learned John's baptism. This group were...

IF the Spirit Dwells In You...

That's the difference between a whole group 'receiving the Spirit ' and an individual receiving the Spirit. The later is about conversion..the former about already saved believers getting empowered and becoming a NT church.

Acts 4:7-8 KJV And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? [8] Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, Peter was saved eternally before being filled with the Holy Spirit here.

IF the Spirit Dwells In You...

It's not activation, it's a believer relying on Jesus and then the Holy Spirit can empower them more. Having less sin in your life = the Holy Spirit can fill you more. It's that simple

    Not By Works

I'm not saying don't be graceful. I'm saying God won't leave a believer thru His grace. So He will always forgive. But with this indwelling He will also deal with our sin. He won't let it slide. He won't leave, but will correct as a Father does His children. So yeah...I don't mean getting...

    Not By Works

A really common objection to once saved always saved, is people saying 'well that means I can do whatever I want' or 'you are preaching a license to sin' This is thinking carnally. It's not thinking about the depth of grace given thru the free gift of eternal life. It's thinking about...

Struggling with interpreting love in the Bible

Today's culture.. especially left wing people, want love to mean something that has no boundaries, no discipline. In the Bible, the love of God is accompanied by love of THE TRUTH. So a believer has unconditional love from God's free gift of salvation, but also discipline, rebuke...

    Forgiveness in The kingdom

Following commands isn't how someone is converted. You are preaching works for salvation. There will be fruit from someone being converted.. but that doesn't mean they WILL always forgive others. God wants them to.. they should.. but He doesn't abandon them because they don't. I don't usually...
