I've never really liked the term 'persons' because it makes me think of entirely separate beings. But there aren't alot of better terms to describe the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are personal and distinct. My pastor likes 'persona'.

That's the difference between a whole group 'receiving the Spirit ' and an individual receiving the Spirit. The later is about conversion..the former about already saved believers getting empowered and becoming a NT church.

It's not activation, it's a believer relying on Jesus and then the Holy Spirit can empower them more. Having less sin in your life = the Holy Spirit can fill you more. It's that simple
