    The Holy Trinity

Well, Jesus claimed to be existing before Abraham. 'Before Abraham was, I AM' That's a big pointer that He is fully God. The next is that He accepted worship. Not just from people like a servant to a king.. but from angels. That's also a big pointer. He accepted worship also from Thomas, who...

    The Holy Trinity

Persona is just the Greek term behind the person's word. I don't like person's because it makes me think of 3 separate beings. It's really the same thing. Just something for myself to get it

    The Holy Trinity

Is not being a messianic Jew mean you believe Jesus is God? Does not Jesus being the Messiah.. mean He is God? If not.. how is He the Messiah.. but not God?

    Arminianism: The Road to Rome

I think they could have given more options in the quiz. But guess that's how limited it is. It's like ... Just because I believe in free will to receive Christ as Saviour .. that does not mean we have free will to have salvation undone after salvation to 'leave God' You can't leave something...

    Arminianism: The Road to Rome

The questions are loaded. Once saved always saved does not mean perseverance of the saints. A person who is saved may not be faithful to the end, but they also won't lose salvation. You see how I'm in neither camp. The quiz in the end did come up with a reasonable assessment of where I...

“LOVING GOD VERSUS OBEYING GOD'S LAW”

The ten commandments are the means of serving God in the New Testament church. But the obedience to them is not conditioned on eternal life. It's a response to having been saved already.. not the means of salvation. It's a system of service, not the way of eternal deliverance.

    Arminianism: The Road to Rome

I disagree. I don't think agreeing with Calvinism on two points make you Calvinist and the same for Armenianism. My beliefs aren't from the reformation or the RCC.

    Arminianism: The Road to Rome

How about not sticking to the Calvinist and Arminian label and just letting scripture speak for itself? Armenianism usually has salvation being able to be undone and Calvinism, among other things, puts salvation before belief in Jesus. Neither of these parts of them are biblical.

    The Holy Trinity

The Father is God the Father.. He has the attributes of being all knowing, all powerful, omniscient etc.. The Holy Spirit is God the Spirit.. He has the same attributes.. fully God. Jesus the Messiah is God the Son... He has the same attriubtes.. fully God. How are they one? In Genesis, God...

“LOVING GOD VERSUS OBEYING GOD'S LAW”

You might want to have a read of Romans 6 also: A key verse in this: Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

“LOVING GOD VERSUS OBEYING GOD'S LAW”

Well, the Bible does not contradict. Paul has being justified by faith without works. It's a different kind of faith to daily service. Initial salvation isn't daily service to Jesus. James 2 shows what a believer does in daily service after conversion. Paul mainly shows what happens AT...

“LOVING GOD VERSUS OBEYING GOD'S LAW”

The New Testament law of service in faith to Jesus is what we go by. Not the mosaic or Levitical laws. Still following the commandments.. but the consequence for not being able to keep them, as a believer, is not loss of eternal life, but grace from Jesus to disarm the chains of law keeping...

    5 Points of Arminianism

Yeah.. the last point I don't agree with also. I'm neither arminian nor calvinist. People tend to conflate osas with calvinism which annoys me. Calvinism isn't really osas.. because they will say converted people definitely will be faithful. So if some one believes they are saved but isn't...

    Author of Evil?

The thing I see is calvinists see believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.. and call that something coming from or initiated by man... when it's not. It's all the work if the Holy Spirit to convict and save.

"What must I do to be saved?"

That's works to achieve salvation sir. Eternal salvation isn't about acts of service. They are a right response to being given salvation.. but not the vehicle which it is given in. Demons believing Jesus-- is not the same as sinners entrusting their salvation with Jesus. Demons-- they know...

    Baptist and Baptism

Well thanks for the reply. But John 3 regarding Nicodemus is regarding water of the womb.. at birth.. not water baptism. The reason? Because that is what Nicodemus meant and Jesus didn't correct him.. but added being born again by the Spirit. Secondly, most other refs to salvation in the...

"What must I do to be saved?"

Yes, believing that Jesus is God, that He lived sinless, that He died and rose again. And by entrusting your eternal salvation with Him, you will be eternally saved. That is the message of the book of John and all through the bible. It's even in shadows and types in the Old Testament! (John...

    Baptist and Baptism

Okay we aren't going to agree on this. I'm not gonna say you aren't saved because you've probably believed in Jesus as God anyway. I'll just go to scripture and that's it. Blessings

    Baptist and Baptism

Yeah.. that was the point being made about the Greek in what I read.. is that especially with Greek.. context is king. When an entire group receives the Spirit, it's already saved people bring empowered by the Holy Spirit. It usually also means the Holy Spirit coming 'in the midst' of them...

    Baptist and Baptism

No problem.. I read in a book about Greek that sentences aren't structured like English where things have to be in a particular order. But maybe that is wrong. Oh well. The point was though ... just because remission of sins is put with water baptism.. doesn't mean the water baptism is...
