Justin Peters deconstructs Benny Hinn's manipulations

Yeah.. reminds me of Peter Popoff back in the day when he was getting it 100 percent right in talking about people's ailments in the crowd at an event. It looked amazing, he was claiming God was giving him the info on people so he could pray for miracles and claim them.. Thing was.. the...

Definition of FAITH in the NT

Context is the key thing each time you see the word faith in the bible. James ...his examples of faith are all about acts of service in faith AFTER having already believed. Eg Abraham with his son Isaac.. Abraham believed unto righteousness to be saved before this. And the other examples...

    What did Jesus mean?

Yeah .. Born of water.. at birth.. It means this because that is what Nicodemus was referring to. So Jesus was adding to Nicodemus' saying about not being able to go back to his mother's womb. Jesus was adding being born of the Spirit. Not a reference to water baptism. Water baptism...

    Christ's Resurrection

There also were alternative views on Jesus' resurrection. One was that Jesus only swooned on the cross and was revived by the cool tomb. The problems with this are many but some main ones are: If he only swooned.. the spear in the side would have finished him off. If he somehow survived...

'Reductionist' versus 'Complete' view of the Gospel

The belief that Jesus died and rose again and that by believing in Him a person received everlasting life is in Roman's 10:9-10 by the meaning of the words within the passage. Confessing and believing... it's in the passage. There is quite a lot to these words. So I believe the verses can be...

when will the most evil doctrin in the world get banned on this site.

Okay, this will be my last post in this thread. We all know this has been thrashed to death.. and then thrashed to death again.. and then again.. John 5:24.. someone believing in Christ HAS everlasting life. Not a maybe... they do. John 3:16.. someone believing in Christ will not perish and...

when will the most evil doctrin in the world get banned on this site.

If salvation can be lossed, it makes Christs work on the cross less than sufficient to cover all sins of those who believe in Him. Therefore.. He is no longer God. His diety is then attacked. I think the impression most get is someone who isn't serious when believing in Christ and then...

Biblical reason for divorce, is deception a valid reason ?

Yea I've also been thru divorce. My wife left because she wasnt happy.. I was too aloof. I wanted to persevere, grow into the marriage and didnt want divorce. She ended up doing the divorce. There were things about my wife I didnt know before marriage that if I'd known more completely...

Where will power meets the Holy Spirit

There is the base line will of God which is the likes of being prepared to share the faith, regular church attendance, regular prayer, giving money, etc.. When we do these, relying on the Holy Spirit, then the personal, more specific plan of God for us becomes clearer.

The Fence that surrounds the Righteous

Also the closer we are to God the more we run against the stream.. so can expect persecution and ridicule and pain. This is where the hedge of protection is most strong.

when will the most evil doctrin in the world get banned on this site.

Yea.. it is the most common response to say 'you are preaching a license to sin' when teaching eternal security and osas. I think though... that is thinking carnally, not spiritually. A new believer would know the amazing grace given. Are they then just gonna run off and rebel? Someone who...

when will the most evil doctrin in the world get banned on this site.

Eternal security is straight down the line biblical doctrine. Calling OSAS bad doctrine to be possibly banned is basically attacking the diety of Christ imo.

    Plan of Salvation

Weeell.. that isn't thinking spiritually. Thats presuming the lost sinner, now saved doesn't realise the grace given them. Which.. they would understand at being saved ! A saved person, would begin to think spiritually, and be initially wanting to know Jesus great love and plan for them...

    Plan of Salvation

The plan of eternal salvation for the lost sinner, doesn't involve any works on our part. It can't because there is nothing good in an unsaved person. It's all God saving someone, no mix of self effort in there. What belief and repentance mean are the main key things. The belief is when...

    Ghosts

Well.. dead people that are lifeless spirits.. not in heaven or hell yet.. aka Hollywood style.. you do not see in the bible. Yes.. a spirit was conjured from the grave in the OT by a witch type, but that was the exception.. not the rule. The spirits that are here are either Angel's or...

Yes 'belief on the Lord Jesus' is the key thing. Some one obviously would need to know some things about Jesus' deity and sacrificial work on the cross before they believe. That's where the conviction on the soul comes in.

God convicts a sinner before they believe, they respond with belief in Christ, that He is God and can deliver them eternally from hell, confessing their sin to Him. You are right that salvation isn't dependent on the words said in the sinners prayer, and that it is all by grace. But I still...

Yes, so these scriptures could easily apply to a sinners prayer. Again. ..praying under conviction to receive Christ.. its the same thing put in different terms.

I understand there is going to be fruit from someone being indwelt by the Holy Spirit. But there is a big difference between 'the faith ' eg... daily prayer, continual faithfulness, bible reading daily etc.. and initial belief in Christ. Some one may go on to be faithful, but not always...
