I really like this panel. It seem to speak, to a degree, concerning God's covenant relation to His people. This can certainly be used to comfort Christians who lose a child. We may never know their status for sure, but it is comforting to see this written in God's word!

You are correct! The process does not end when we become a Christian. We are still sinners, but we are forgiven in Christ. We must continue to grow in God's grace, asking him for strength to overcome remaining sin and grow in faith!
