Did the Church institute Dec 25th to replace Pagan Festivals with a Christian Theme?

What if Jesus is looking down frowning because many of those who proclaim they are celebrating his birth are actually celebrating their selves and their families? A person on here posted his celebration for Jesus, it consisted of buying gifts for his family, having a dinner with his family...

    Not By Works

I understand that we are not chosen for good works. As no one can do or be good without Christ. No high horse sir. You all contradict the Bible, or each other so much. I can tell, this is not a place for a new Christian. Just because someone ask a question doesn't mean they are slandering...

So many anti charismatic smear jobs allowed?

Reminds me of some scriptures that I read the other day in Roman 14. It tells us not to quarrel with each other over our opinions. And not to pass judgment on each other, because you are not their master. Let not the one who eats everything despise the one who only eats vegetables. Let not...

Pelosi’s ‘Dirty Little Secret’: She Held Back Coronavirus Funding Bill so DCCC Could Run Super Tuesday Ads Against GOP [March 3rd]

Hillary use to talk about putting a wall up at the southern border to, and was against abortions.

Pelosi’s ‘Dirty Little Secret’: She Held Back Coronavirus Funding Bill so DCCC Could Run Super Tuesday Ads Against GOP [March 3rd]

Pelosi downplayed the coronavirus, while there were at least 8 confirmed cases in CA, claiming that there was nothing to worry about, while inviting people to mingle in a crowd for shopping in Chinatown. I have to wonder how much of CA problem is caused by her and any possible spreading of...

Is hell just a tomb or a place for soul?

Thank you. I do have e-sword and I love it. Funny I was thinking how the rich man and Lazarus had bodies. I was going to ask about that, but I can get confused with too many things so I didn't ask you about that.

Is hell just a tomb or a place for soul?

I do switch back and forth from KJV and ESV and a few others. That was ESV. I was so interested in the conversation that I didn't may attention to which one I was on. KJV does translate that Greek word(κρισεως) as judgement in Mat 10:15, 11:22, 11:24, 12:36, and some others. So I didn't even...

Is hell just a tomb or a place for soul?

I agree with you (on this and your 1st post regarding this subject). I am reading things in the Bible that just don't match up to " go straight to Heaven and skip resurrection" idea. The following scriptures teach that Jesus is the one that descends, not the dead in Christ. And that the dead...

If we are going to keep the SABBATH the 7th day, in HEAVEN, Why are not people keeping it now ???

Zechariah 14 is about the coming of the Lord, when He will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle. Then shall the LORD go and fight against, His feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives and it will split to the east and west.... When you get to verse 16 it tells that everyone that is...

    nephilim

The KJV translates the word "giant" from H5303-nephı̂yl and from H4794-râphâ'. According to Strong's, H5303-nephı̂yl means a feller, that is, a bully or tyrant. BUT it says it is from H5307-nâphal, which means to fall. And in Num 13:33 it is referring to them as giant like, in their own...

    nephilim

Good point! So you got me interested and I started doing a little research. The word "angels" in Psa 78:25 is translated from אַבִּיר, (H47). Only 17 occurrences in the KJV. Which KJV has translated as: ones (Jdg 5:22), chiefest (1Sa 21:7), mighty (Job 24:22, 34:20), strong (Psa 22:12)...

Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

I was responding to "I don't remember having said that you said that, but I am sure many law keepers say that animal sacrifice was replaced with the sacrifice of Jesus." My response was to that. Not sure what you think I was saying.

    Hades / The Grave

I would like to add these scriptures as well (if you don't mind). Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have...

Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

Actually the NT teaches that it was necessary for the priesthood laws to change because the priesthood changed. It is now under the order of Melchizedek and not the order of Aaron. Heb 7 Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for...

Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

First you say the law of Moses is not the law of God ("Jesus was talking about the law of Moses not God's law. But then later you say: "Law of Moses" is short for "The law of God given to the Hebrews through Moses". I find that confusing. Are you saying that "God's law" is the Ten Commandments?
