You totally missed the scripture that informs of your righteousness.
That is, even while following the commandment to not murder, you've failed!
Righteousness is right doing- our version of right doing is as fifthly rags, why we need to depend on God's Psa119:172 Isa56:1-2. His is everlasting Psa119:142 the foundation of His Throne Psa89:14

No really, that's gross. You should quit that. Idk who you are, your righteousness stinks. Jesus isn't your cheerleader. He's the only Way to the Father. His righteousness is the only righteousness that you can legitimately claim.

Its sad that professed Christians feel insulting another person is the way Jesus wants us to treat each other instead of discussing Scripture. Yes, Jesus is the way so when He tells us what is righteous Psa119:172 Isa56:1-2 we should believe Him. 1John3:7

I guess He will sort all of this out in His time. Take care.

I'm trying to help you sort it out now. Take care and redeem the time.
Your obsession with being perfect to secure God's love strongly hints at some exposure to religious abuse, so severely traumatizing that you've adopted a defense for it.

Wanting to follow the word of God and trying to help others share what God asks us to Mat5:19 is not abuse.

Like the wisest man in Scripture said:

Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:

Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.
14 For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil.

Rev 14:7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” Exo20:11

God will sort it all out- we can live how we want or how He asks Mat4:4 life is about choices and one day we will have to be accountable for them to God. 2Cor5:10

Condemning Sunday worshippers to hell seems rather abusive to me. It's a good thing no one is legally accountable to SDAs.

I don’t recall ever condemning anyone to hell, thats not my place. I can point out how God said He will Judge us, but only He can condemn anyone to hell.

The issue is not Sunday worship- we should worship God every day, the issue is keeping a tradition of man over obeying the commandments of God Mat15:3-14 Mark7:7-13 Col 2:8 thats what it really comes down to.

Don't you support everything that comes from the EG White, the seventh day prophetess raised up likened to Moses?

The record of false 'prophecies' from EG White is both extensive and alarming, considering the adherents who still follow her, while ignoring the record of error and insisting that she was both accurate and a true 'prophet'.

Adventists, having experienced the false prophecy of William Miller who stated Jesus would return Oct. 22, 1844, (aka The Great Disappointment) retroactively corrected the error of Miller by stating that Miller was over eager in his words and what actually took
place 10/22/1844, was the 'start' of Jesus final 'work', meaning the cleansing in the heavenly sanctuary which would actually lead up to
the 2nd coming.

The backlash after the failed expectations of so many, resulted in angry critcism and even, in some cases, violence from the public. It seems
that many followers had given up their possessions in consideration of the prophecied date of Jesus return and now they were left empty handed both spiritually and physically.

The Millerites had to deal with their own shattered expectations, as well as considerable criticism and even violence from the public. Many followers had given up their possessions in expectation of Christ's return. A Millerite church was burned in NY and 2 others were vandalized
while a mob in Illinois attacked the Millerite congregation with clubs and knive while yet another group, in Toronto, Canada, was tarred and feathered. In some other cases in Canada, Millerites were shot at.

Many Milleries gave up their beliefs but, during this time, as stated above, excues were made, corrections given and several new sects sprang up, apparently unwilling to admit error or the possibility they had been falling both a false teacher and a false prophet in the person of William Miller.

Due to the active and insistent amount of posts made in another thread here regarding the ongoing claims of White's adherents or SDA participants, along with the denials of scripture that indicate error or the skipping over of questions and so on by the same adherents, it seems it would be more helpful to discuss the problems of White's teachings in a different atmosphere where proof of the false prophecies and what scripture actually states, could be discussed. No prejudice intended, but open discussion is needed which cannot be had if certain people take scripture out of context to change the meaning or, just ignore scripture altogether.

Here is one false prophecy of White:

White contends the Sabbath is still in effect and Sunday is not honored by God as day to honor Him

What scripture actually says:

The New Testament clearly shows Christians worshiping together on Sunday, not Saturday and Romans 14 teaches that the individual must be convinced in their own mind of the day they choose to observe.

What scripture actually says:

Exodus 20:8-11
“Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

This verse is referring to the 7th day not the 1st day of the week.

There are other denominations besides SDA that worship on Saturday rather than Sunday.

  • Seventh-day Adventists: The largest group, establishing their faith on Saturday as the biblical day.
  • Seventh Day Baptists: An older tradition that has practiced Saturday worship in North America since the 17th century.
  • Church of God (Seventh Day): A Sabbath-keeping body with roots in the Millerite movement.
  • Messianic Judaism: Groups that combine Christian beliefs with Jewish traditions, including Saturday worship.
  • Armstrong Churches: Groups stemming from the Radio Church of God/Worldwide Church of God, such as the United Church of God and Living Church of God.
  • Sabbatarian Pentecostals: Including the True Jesus Church and Soldiers of the Cross Church.
  • Other Groups: The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church observes both Saturday and Sunday. Some smaller groups like the Seventh-Day Evangelist Church also observe Saturday.
These groups often emphasize that all humanity is obliged to keep the Ten Commandments, which includes holding the Sabbath on Saturday

Galatians 1:6-9
"I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed."

1. The Core Idea: Perversion Leads to Disobedience

  • Paul warns that some are turning “to a different gospel…to pervert the gospel of Christ” (Galatians 1:6-7).
  • This perversion leads people away from obedience to God, turning faith into a false religion.
Supporting Scriptures:
  • Matthew 7:21-23 – Jesus warns:
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied…?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
  • This shows that a religion that seems spiritual but rejects God’s will is ultimately false.

2. False Prophet and Religion of Disobedience

  • The “other gospel” is often preached by false prophets who appear righteous but lead people into disobedience.
Supporting Scriptures:
  • 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 – Paul warns:
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness…”
  • These are teachers who twist the gospel to lead people into sin, just as the “other gospel” does.
  • Romans 16:17-18 – Paul also says:
“Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.”
  • Again, false teaching leads believers away from obedience to God’s law.

3. The “Other Gospel” Leads to Disobedience

  • The essence of the “other gospel” is that it rejects God’s commandments while claiming to offer salvation.
  • Obedience and faith are inseparable; a gospel that removes obedience is a religion of disobedience.
Supporting Scriptures:
  • James 2:17 – “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
  • 1 John 3:4-6 – “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.”
  • These verses show that faith without obedience is not true faith; the “other gospel” leads people to continue in sin under the guise of grace.

4. Summary

  • Galatians 1:6-9 warns against any gospel that distorts Christ’s salvation.
  • The “other gospel” is often promoted by false prophets (2 Corinthians 11:13-15) and leads to lawlessness (Matthew 7:21-23; Romans 16:17-18).
  • True salvation involves both faith in Christ and obedience to God’s law (James 2:17; 1 John 3:4-6).
  • Therefore, the “other gospel” results in a religion of disobedience, which Paul condemns as accursed.

So doing what God commanded is against the will of God an abomination. What God wrote with His finger Exo31:18, how He told us to love Him Exo20:6 is abomination to man. What God blessed and sanctified Exo20:11 Isa56:1-2 that man can't do is an abomination to man? Doing what God deems as righteousness and justice Isa56:1-2 the foundation of His throne Psa89:14 an abomination to God? God's works Exo32:16 an abomination to God? What God made for man is an abomination to man Mark2:27-28

God said profaning the Sabbath is doing evil Neh13:17 Isa56:2 and keeping the Sabbath is holy and blessed and what is righteousness Isa56:2

Isa 5:20Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
You have a typical leftist's capacity to misunderstand and deliberately misrepresent what is said to you.

My parents didn't go to church that I remember. My Aunt Lois would take me to church with my cousins and it happened to be a Seventh Day Adventist church. The SDA church is not a cult I was never taught to worship Ellen White I was taught to worship God that Jesus died for my sins and that I needed to repent and believe and follow Jesus/God to be saved. I was taught the 10 commandments were written on stone by God's finger and that He would like for me to obey them.

There is a reason the 4 commandment begins with the word Remember because so many people would like to forget or just ignore this particular commandment.

The first 4 of the commandments are an instruction on how our relationship with God should be and the last 6 are how we should relate to mankind. They aren't suggestions they are the rules of God's government and will stand throughout eternity.

It isn't a wrong gospel to believe Jesus died for my sins to save me. The Bible is my guide and I need no other books no matter who wrote them. Ellen White is not my God and her importance is null when it comes to my salvation.

As long as you are so intent on what scripture 'actually' says, then take this to heart:

The law was not given until 430 years AFTER Abraham so Abraham never obeyed the law. Yet, scripture tells us that God considered him to be righteous. Do you Judaizers not understand that? Has that escaped your so great knowledge of the Bible or has your teacher Ellen White failed on this point with each person responsible before God themself failing to be responsible in that they follow a false teacher, such as you are doing, and cannot attest to actual scriptural representation of the gospel before God Himself?

Looking at Galatians 3, we see that God considered Abraham to be righteous. Yet you want us to believe that somehow following the law is the righteousness God desires when, 430 years BEFORE the law was given, Abraham was saved because he simply believed God.

The law is not the 10 commandments alone. You cannot choose bits and pieces of the law and commend yourself that you follow it because you say you observe Saturday as the day God wants to be worshipped.

SO WHY ARE YOU HERE ON YOUR HOLY DAY PRESENTING A FALSE GOSPEL TO CHRISTIANS? WHY AREN'T YOU WORSHIPPING AS YOU SAY YOU SHOULD BE DOING? Do you value your act as an Judaizer to be more important than doing NOTHING, which is what scripture demands you do?

A man was put to death for collecting firewood on the 'Sabbath' yet you think so little of that, you come here and present ONE tiny part of the actual 613 laws given and how do you imagine that reflects in your righteousness for such obedience ? I'm certainly not impressed. You Adventists tell everyone else to obey obey obey, yet it looks like your words are all you have since your actions speak louder than your words.

Christians are saved by faith, just like Abraham. That, is why we are called God's children. All who rely on observing the law are under a curse. For it is written, IN THE BOOK OF THE LAW, everyone who does not continue to do EVERYTHING written in the book of the law is cursed.

What part of everything do you Adventists not understand? Are you doing everything? All 613 parts of the law, because the Bible does not distinguish only the 10. All 613 parts comprise the book of the law. There are not just 10 so your false holiness does not reflect on God's holiness in any way.

It isn't a wrong gospel to believe Jesus died for my sins to save me. The Bible is my guide and I need no other books no matter who wrote them. Ellen White is not my God and her importance is null when it comes to my salvation.

The Bible is not your guide if your participation in this thread, which is not about Sabbath keeping, includes you believing that the law is our guide to salvation.

I am kind of put back by the way you express your belief in Jesus by saying' it isn't a wrong gospel to believe Jesus died for your sins to save you.' How many gospels do you think there are?

You are correct when you say White has nothing to do with salvation. So then, why do you fail to understand that the law was not given to create a right standing before God? By the way, I'm going to get involved in a back and forth with you or anyone else. I started this thread to make plain the false teaching of Ellen White and while Judaizers have tried to get it off course every chance they make, it is still a valuable resource; each post about what she taught and or believed, is sourced so denial is implausible.

I don't care about your life as an Adventist or anyone else's life as an Adventist. I care about my responsibility to present the actual gospel in scripture as we find it in the New Testament. This is not to say I don't care about people; I certainly do or I would not refute the false teaching being presented and present the actual gospel in its place. We have one life and it is best served in faith to Christ and following Him. His blood is the New Covenant.

I'm confused..... Do you not obey God's commandments? How then are you a Christian? Please clarify. Thanks.

Revelation 14:12 in the King James Version (KJV) states: "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." This verse highlights that the endurance of believers involves steadfast obedience to God and unwavering faith in Jesus.

"If ye love me, keep my commandments" is a verse from John 14:15

Luke 11:28 (NIV) states: "He replied, 'Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.

Adventists attack the actual gospel. Jesus is not enough for them. They spit in the face of God's gift and create an irrational and false presentation of Jesus as someone who helps them keep the 10 commandments.

This thread was not created to discuss any particular day of the week, but I would like to remind Adventists they should not be here arguing their false doctrine if they actually observe the Sabbath. How is trying to deny the gospel and replacing it with 613 laws honoring the Sabbath?

I am really not trying to be mean but you do come across as very judgemental and it's your way or the highway.

I was taught that it is God's way and we should love our enemies and do good to those who may treat us wrong.

Despite what you say the Bible is my guide and Jesus/God is whom I should follow and obey.

Jesus stands in our place before God. If we repent and accept Jesus as our Savior God sees Jesus perfect record and not ours. This works for both you and I and anyone else who repents and accepts Jesus as their personal Savior.

You aren't confused. Let's not play coy here. You are simply repeating Adventist doctrine and since I already expressed my beliefs from scripture in my response to your SDA doctrine, how is it you pretend you don't know what I believe?

You have the nerve to ask if I am a Christian? I really have hardly ever said in this forum 'shame on you' but I cannot define how badly I think of you for even having the nerve to ask such a thing other than to say SHAME ON YOU!. And truly, there are a number of people here I have on ignore and because of your hypocritical false post to me, pretending you do not see what I said, I'm also putting you on that list.

I don't think you are here for any other reason that to deny that Christians are actually saved. That is a common refrain for you Adventists. The way you SDAers pretend you follow the 10 commandments is laughable. The law is not 10, it is 613.
