Dodge no longer builds trucks, my friend. Tough or otherwise. They spun the trucks off as a separate make. They are all now Ram.

So... Are you planing on staying single or starting a band?
If the band is going to tour, you'l need a full sized van for the merch trailer, etc. Just sayin.
One of the most marry-able girls I never dated drove a minivan. Her excuse was that she had bought it for $75. But the truth was that she had bought it for $75 then it about $200 into it, doing the work herself. She could cook French & Italian, and rebuild motors, but the age difference between us was critical at the time.
In the end, I wouldn't trade my new sweetie for her, and I wish her well.
Hey what's wrong with a minivan?
Admittedly it's slower than what I used to drive... I had a '90 chevy lumina, 6 cylinder, and man I liked that car. Power to spare, sweet handling - it was made before they started putting mostly plastic in luminas. I had fun on the back roads. Not that I drove fast, mind you... I was just thrifty with brake pad usage on curves. Yeah, that's it.
But when it finally bit the dust (timing belt snapped and stuffed itself in the piston heads) and I had to look for another vehicle, God kept telling me to get a minivan. I certainly wouldn't have chosen something like that on my own. >.> But I must admit it has come in handy. I can haul, and have hauled, about half the church sound system out for a service at the park, I can pick up, and have picked up, the kids on my bus route when the church bus breaks down.

They're still Ram tough though. Best car I ever owned was a 76 Dodge Dart. I bought an 8 year old one for $500, spent a week working on it swapping parts from another one that had previously bit the dust and it performed for over 5 years and 100,000 miles. It was still running when I junked it.
Ford Mustangs the love of my life in the car world and I have owned a few of them....Miss my Mustangs especially the convertible one a 1965......oh those were the days long blond hair and wind blowing with the top down.....and young....Sorry for the derail I have moved on from Mustangs but there is still a special love for them in my older heart.....

So the best advice I've been getting from this thread lately is...

Since we are way out in the field now anyone what to plant some vegies? Might as well grow something while we are out here. Corn anyone? Peas please? Tomato or potato? Or all of the previously listed? At least we are not out in left field.

I fear mini-vans. My ex's mother still had her 1980s white Caravan and frequently requested all her grown children pack up and take a ride in it. These 'innocent' rides mysteriously turned into 'family' get togethers where she would trap the 'boys' in the van. (the 'boys' were ages 35, 33, and 32). She would refer to them in a creepy weird baby voice, and these grown men turned into small children. By the time she released them from the van, they had completely lost their masculinity. Hence, the fear of white mini vans from the 80s and, the reason for a messy divorce! No MOMMA vans for me.

This is a good thread. I'm not so good at marriage. If there's one recurring sin in my life, it's divorce. On the other hand, this marriage seems to be working, probably because I learned a few things. 6 years. We're not going anywhere.
What have I learned?
Get ego out of the way. Ego is all about me, my needs, my wants, my emotions. Not that these are not important, but they have nothing to do with the better good of the US. When ego gets out of the way, I'm able to see the problem clearly, and work as a team to find a solution. Perhaps it's also known as humility.
Submission goes both ways. I let my husband make bad decisions sometimes because I don't want to cross him, when by being assertive and stating a blunt opinion, I would serve us better. We work best together when he does what he does best, which is love me as he loves himself, and that requires submission to the greater good that is us. When we are both submitting to that spirit, we are an unbeatable team.
Sometimes, obedience is not about obeying some command, sometimes it's about being pleasing. I've failed so many times by being determined to assert myself, and to maintain my independence and not surrender to the whims of someone else. When this man wants something from me, I do not feel like I am surrendering, but that I am agreeing. He likes it when I sing, so I sing for him. He likes lime juice, so I make sure it's in the fridge for him. He likes me to grow my hair long and one length, natural without colors or chemicals; so it is long, and natural, and one length, and I like the way he looks at me when he's pleased with me.
Marriage is a big deal. May future marriages be blessed by learning from the mistakes of others.

In short, the answer to your question is no. As in life, in marriage it is best to learn from your mistakes to avoid future discomfort and stress. A husband who is properly trained would not attempt to correct a grammatical mistake of the wife. It would be most amusing though and well worth the cost of admission. I am not saying that I would attempt such a stunt though as that is something best left to the experts.
They have training for husbands?

Quite frankly I am happy to end up with a well trained husband as it will save me a lot of time...... I came to the conclusion after the cat died that I needed to fill the empty space.....the choice was dog or husband? I decided husband was the better choice of the two as he would not have to be walked every day on a leash nor would I have to pick up his waste off the lawn of my home owner association townhome location, but that we can choose to walk together holding hands enjoying conversations.
Now don't get me wrong I'm sure there will be things that come up to make me question my choice, but the fact that God dropped this man in my PM box is all the nudge I needed to know that the empty space had a replacement and one I will enjoy for the rest of my life. It will be an adventure to say the least and best part is God is in the middle of it. As for the dog? We will have to discuss that choice as a team.
By the way tourist is no pet but a well trained gift from God.
