I created a new room in Nestify. I wanted to see if I can create a cocktail lounge from what was already in the game - it is normally a game to create and decorate your dream home. I also wanted to try out how it would look at night with the lights the game has.

So this is what the cocktail lounge looks like at noon with static light:

Here is the dining area with mural on the left wall and bar in the back:

Here is the bar:

The lounge area:

It's basic lighting which cycles through the colors of the rainbow. The game has other types of light that aren't so basic.

Conclusion: It was fun creating the lounge but a lot of work to fill in the finer details - I had to actually stock the bar with individual items - that took FOREVER!

Wow you put a lot of effort into this and it shows!! I love the colour coordination and level of detail.

I would definitely hang out in a place like this

Thank you for sharing 2ndtime!! Nice to meet you and may the Lord bless you!!

Am playing HKIA on the iphone

I used to have Simpsons game on ipad (you can build up Springfield, you are Homer, and do Homer-y things).
My little cousin tried to get me on Frozen, the Disney game of the movie. Or was it something else. It was a lot of minecart rides. I remember having to race to win/chase coins on the Great Wall of China. But like Sonic the Hedgehog, those games kind of made me dizzy, plus you could tip the ipad so you would roll around more.

My book of cozy games I've borrowed lists a lot of free ones, so I might take another look, but I can only play one game at a time.
Cats and Soup is one that stood out for me.

I think my ipad would be too old to download the latest games now.

A lot of build-your-own games are just based on the original Sim City. Also does anyone remember Where in the World is Carmen San Diego? Sort of like a Where's Wally video game. I don't know if there is an actual Where's Wally video game. Sure it would make your eyes hurt if there was one.

Word games - Wordle was popular, and my sister used to play 'Words with Friends' which was basically Scrabble on the phone. There are probably other games based on board games you could play, but I'm not a fan of Monopoly or Trivial Pursuit lol.

I think there is one you can play with friends and it's kind of like Charades but with ipad/tablet. The games on mobile devices let you interact with others and you can play them anywhere that has wifi. i.e not stuck sitting or stuck to a desk. I'm sure people do play video games in offices when they are pretending to work lol.

In one library, I had a PC, but I never sat to work on it, just stood as it was on a high workbench. Also it would be out of reach from for the smaller children. The only game I permitted children to play on PC was one I controlled, which was Kahoot, the free version, where I'd make trivia quizzes. The teacher would get the children chromebooks, and they'd play in teams. You had to make up your own team name, of course, they always made up silly ones! I would cast the game to the tv monitor the library had on the wall.

Man...

I've never been a gamer (but I like watching the "cutscene" movies for several big games -- I loved the storyline in Mortal Kombat where Johnny Cage has a redemption arc of being an awesome dad to Cassie.)

I also enjoy watching others play.

I get tons of ads on YouTube for what look like look like fun, mindless recreation (like matching colors and objects,) but have always resisted, afraid I'd be lured in and never find my way out!!

But with all this talk of "cozy" games and how appealing they sound...

I'm finding it much harder to resist! 🤯

No time limit, and no racing around

I just get bored of racing/shooting games honestly...those kinds of games are pretty mindless to me. But each to their own.

HKIA is good because you just pick up where you left off, no need to keep starting ALL OVER AGAIN thus taking forever to reach the level you got before. No time limit for the quests either. It does have a few chase to win a trophy games where you are running through coins/crystals, but they are optional. I hardly ever win those and they make me dizzy lol.

There are many free to play, simple and fun multiplayer or coop games I could show you!

Do you have a PC or would you be playing games on your phone?

Likewise that was one of my favourite parts of the new Mortal Kombat games - his interactions with Cassie, Sonya and his transition from being the primadonna movie star to one of the defenders of Earthrealm gets my blood pumping. I have Injustice (the DC Mortal Kombat) if you ever want to hang out with me on Discord and watch me play!!

I remember this!! So many games follow this format now but this was back in the pioneer days of mobile games.

Do you remember one called "Zombie Farm"? I've been trying to find it for ages

Sounds awesome and thank you very much for the kind invite!

I have to admit that I have a bit of an obsessive personality, and one of the reasons I've held off on games (and Facebook, and TikTok, and Instagram and...) is because I know I'll get pulled in and have a hard time prying myself away.

As it is, I limit myself to chats with friends and CC (and you can see how well I've managed to get away from this place!) 😆

If I ever do think I can handle it 😂, I will definitely keep your offer in mind!

Thank you so much. :)

"Zombie Farm"??!!

Uh, I have a dumb question.

Are you farming zombies, or are the zombies doing the farming? (And what, exactly, are they raising?!)

A CC friend got me into watching Plants vs. Zombies and I like listening to player's commentaries about the different games that have come out in the series.

I don't know...

The zombies sound VERY sincere here, don't you think?

Maybe we should give them a chance. 😆

Hahaha yes I love plants vs. zombies especially the later levels they start to get quite creative and the story develops more than you'd think for such a silly and straightforward game xD!!

But no it's actually a totally different game, very similar to Farmville if you've heard of that, only instead you grow zombies and then certain nights you can go out and use them to fight other monsters and such. It's been so long I forget what exactly happens but I remember the name and that I certainly played hours of it when it first came out.

I'm thinking, Light in my Soul AND Zombie on the Lawn tyvm 🤭

I understand and totally respect that, when I get into a phase with gaming it's hard to stop as well.

That's part of the reason I started streaming tbh - it just seemed like the best way to "Justify" playing a game when I could be doing something more "productive" and I've actually made more money on Twitch than I expected or am comfortable stating here but I mean MORE than what you're thinking which blew me away for how small my channel is.

That got me to the point where some days I was streaming 16 hours straight so believe me I understand obsessive . That is also when i was playing the most Total War: Rome 2 which is a historical strategy game. I can talk about Roman history (from the City-state Monarchy all the way to the end of the Eastern Roman Empire) or battle tactics or culture, music, poetry allll day!!

Please do, I love playing for an audience and there's some games I don't like to play on Twitch because a) too hardware intensive (injustice is a big, demanding game and slows down my stream sometimes) b) they're too "slow" and ponderous, some games I play are fun to sit and chat with some friends or by myself but not exciting enough for an audience, ya know?

You're very welcome 🙏

yea... 16 hours straight is a tad...excessive.

This is the hold out on video games -- they should come with warnings...not that they don't already, but the warnings that this game could be addictive.

The mobile game that was most popular to start with was Angry Birds. I'm sure people still play it.

I never played Farmville or heard of Zombie Farm, but I did read the Plant vs Zombie books, they are pretty funny. BRAINSSS
