I am compelled to prove the one “covenant,” not two, that involves Christ Jesus, and the writings of Moses that God commanded beginning on the third day of the third month after the Exodus. There are four chapters, starting with chapter twenty that Moses wrote after hearing the “words of the Lord. They are chapters twenty through twenty-three.
Exodus 24:3-8 (KJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.
Hebrews 9:19-20 (KJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP]For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
John 19:34 (KJV)
[SUP]34 [/SUP]But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
1 John 5:6-8 (CJB) 6. He is the one who came by means of water and blood, Yeshua the Messiah - not with water only, but with the water and the blood. And the Spirit bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
7.There are three witnesses
8. the Spirit, the water and the blood - and these three are in agreement..
This seems to me as a clear picture of Jesus Christ being in the beginning, and being the first born, and the shedding of His blood, as mighty, having the blood and water flow from his side after He was speared to confirm His death.
Particularly, in the “Feast of Tabernacles,” we can find that there were certain measurements of flour mixed with oil to be offered with the Bullock, being an allegory, or comparison, representing the attributes, and sovereignty of Jesus Christ. This measurement was called an “omer.”
According to the Hebrew pictorial language, the sheaf and omer are the same. (Strong’s 6016) It means to watch, and know that the blood, and water are mighty from the beginning, from the first, and we are to continue as an heir of this promise or, if you will, covenant, as it was from the beginning.
A sheaf was to be held up, during the “Feast of Weeks” and waved as “firstfruits,” presenting it before God.
Leviticus 23:9-12 (KJV)
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.
1 Corinthians 15:20 (KJV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP]But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
There is one allegorical covenant, making two covenants, yet there is one testimony one Lord, and one God. The difference is between the two is that the first is physical, and the other is spiritual, and the first is a parable of the second.
Galatians 4:24 (KJV)
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
Rejecting any part of God’s words spoken to Moses together with the spoken words of Christ Jesus this is “breaking covenant” with God, in my estimation. You can argue about this all day long, but the Word of God has not changed. The only change is the temple is now within those who believe, rather than we being in the temple made by the hands of man, even though that was a directive from God to Moses.
1 Corinthians 8:6 (KJV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP]But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Ephesians 4:4-6 (KJV)
[SUP]4 [/SUP]There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
[SUP]5 [/SUP]One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
[SUP]6 [/SUP]One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
