To say that we don't need to manually fulfill the law is distorting God's word and opening up the world for the devil. Of course, Christ fulfilled the law. It is only through Christ we are forgiven of our sins. Christ fulfilled the law.
In order for us to allow Christ to fulfill the law we must do our part, we must repent of sin and accept God's grace. It includes living a life that God spelled out for us Manually, if you want to use that word for it.
Without that we go to a world ruled by the devil, ruled by manually obeying sin and death.
I like what you said. Here is the relationship between the word "end" and "fulfill."
Strong’s concordance 5056 “end” and 5055 “fulfill” meaning to end, i.e complete, execute, conclude, discharge a debt, accomplish, make an end, expire, fill up, finish, go over, pay, and perform. Not to do away with or negate as not relevant.
Galatians 5:16 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not
fulfill the lust of the flesh.
James 2:8 (KJV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]If ye
fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
4137=fulfill in the next verse is to replete meaning to “fill again” the state of being completely filled
Matthew 5:17 (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to
fulfil.
Therefore Jesus came to complete, or to fill up and finalize the promise given from the beginning.
5056 Greek=end
From a primary tello (to set out for a definite point or
goal); properly,
the point aimed at as a limit, i.e. (by implication)
the conclusion of an act or state
**(termination (literally, figuratively or indefinitely),
result (immediate, ultimate or prophetic), purpose); specially, an impost or levy (as paid) -- + continual, custom, end(-ing),
finally, uttermost. Compare
phoros.
see GREEK
phoros
** Termination = in reference to the end of the trip, or end of the line. It is the finalization of the goal that has been achieved. Putting an end to the work that needs to be done, and seeing the final product that has been produced, with all its ingredients.
Strong’s concordance 3615 “end” and also the same as “
Fulfill”
Hebrew=end
Leviticus 16:20 (KJV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP]And when he hath made an
end of reconciling the holy
place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:
A primitive root; to end, whether intransitive (to cease, be finished, perish) or transitived (to complete, prepare, consume) -- accomplish, cease, consume (away), determine, destroy (utterly), be (when... Were) done, (be an) end (of), expire, (cause to) fail, faint, finish, fulfil, X fully, X have, leave (off), long, bring to pass, wholly reap, make clean riddance, spend, quite take away, waste.
I can find nowhere that is means vanish, negate, do away with, etc.
Romans 4:16 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Therefore
it is of faith, that
it might be by grace
; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
John 19:30 (KJV)
[SUP]30 [/SUP]When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said,
It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
7093 “end” in Hebrew.
