Christian men looking for love in all the wrong places?

I to had friends who are so called christian men. I have seen the way they treat other women and it hurts me. Because I know people would think all christian men are the same. I don't blame anyone for thinking this way about christian men. All I'm saying is to keep trying, keep seaching, the right one will come along.

Its like they except nothing but perfection sometimes, ... .. and thats a very high standard to live up to, its like you must always be submissive, always cook dinner and clean the house, raise the kids at home... homeschool them when they get older.. never question decisons that the man makes or never let a woman help with any decison.. like we dont have a brain that we should just sit at home and be the submissive wife.... Where as men who might be considered losers or what have you.. there more accepting, there usually alot nicer and there standards arent so high...So its easier to be with these men. I have noticed from looking at alot of these singles forums that most of the men on here are saying they want a wife thats a virgin, or that has never kissed anyone, or that has never dated anyone, ....... Well where does that leave us women that have done all or some of those things?? because ceratainly you "nice guys" aka Christian guys, want something better than that. So its not that nice guys finish last, its that sometimes some of the best women are those you nice guys would never pick..........

I'm not sure what kind of guys you've run into in your life, but Personnally I want a wife with a brain. I don't want to be the only one that can deal with things. Marriage is supposed to be a partnership. As for the dishes, they can pile up for the rest of eternity for all I care. Regarding decision making, the bible does say that the husband is head of the house, however contrary to popular belief, all that means is that when things go south the husband has to answer to God for it. The wife should always have a say. There are two people involved not one.

When I said losers, I was refering to the guys who spend what little money they have on their own toys and things, assuming they even have work other than the local gas bar and aren't drinking or smoking it all away.

As for the rest, I've given up on the idea of a wife who is a virgin and not done all that other stuff. Actually I couldn't care less about that. Past is the past, unless there is some disease involved, like AIDS, her past doesn't have any bearing on whether I was to be in a relationship with her. If she had AIDS, I think I might seriously reconsider. For that matter I'm rapidly getting over the whole single mother thing too. I'm nervous about that whole situation, not because she has kids or because they come first in her life, but more because I have no idea how I would be able to fit into that situation. It would be like tramping through a jungle without a map, compass or machette and your partner has both while you can't see her. I have no kids of my own and it would unfair to the kids to get involved in a relationship with their mother, only to leave a while later if one or both decides it isn't going to work out after all for what ever reason.

I'm sure that will sound selfish to some but, there it is.

I have enough of my own faults I need her to over look without tossing her's in her face every five minutes.

I hope this doesn't sound like I'm making excuses.
 
I believe that men who are like that and call themselves so called christians are not christians at all. I see it like this, if whatever you do that you know for a fact Jesus whouldn't do, than you are not a christian. But if you follow in his steps and live your life by asking yourselfes "What would Jesus do?" and than act upon it, well than your in the right possition. I know where I'm at, do you?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...Well I disagree, not all men are dogs, But like my dad always said you have to remember that for every 1 bad person there are 10 good ones. |Sometimes we just need to adjust our thinking and stop allowing Satan to infillitrate our minds. I know alot of very Godly men that would love to meet Godly women, but they are seeking God first. Having said that I have met men that go to church just to meet women, not to seek God. I think one needs to really take the time to se and witness where their hearts are really at. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all shall be added unto you. I know there are many Godly men out there, stop looking and let God deliver the one meant for you. He knos the desires of your heart. He knows you better than you know yourself. Trust in him. Thats all I have to say really I am a single mom, alone , but not lonely. Theres the difference between one that has God first as a companion and would like one to compliment them and another one thats lonely and looking for happiness in another instead of having found it in God...Good Luck for what it really is your saying and looking for. XALT, and Alpha unit your post was kind of funny i dont mean that in a rude way but i am a christian women who believes there are good christian men out there but dont be to hard on women who think some men can be selfish because its true some men can be and some women can be not that im judging its just the way of this world at times, nice guys dont finish last its the nice humble godly mannered christian guys that wait on god and trust in him they finish FIRST.

Sometimes when people think god is through with you he has only just begun my way always fails but GODS way is always more fulfilling, its strange sometimes we can think if we trust god to much with the unknown he will fail us, yet we are the failable frail fleshly ones that fail without the strength and grace of god so we need to tap into that strength daily read his word and trust in him stand on this verse brothers in christ: colossians 1v 10 it say we are COMPLETE in christ not in men or women but IN CHRIST (: be encouraged read the book of ruth and know that it applys to men as well as women and remember with god last finishes first lol, no seriously (: xxx

maybe its territorial. around where i live, its just about impossible to find a respectable devoted-to-God real christian woman. scattered about are big drug & alcohol use.
