ah alas the sincere hearts of explanations breaks through but not without an accusation first.

Wouldn't it have just been easier to explain this first rather than live in secret with a reluctant mind to share.

Or is your reluctant mind telling you I could be wrong,

Theres no shame in saying I'm not sure.

Jesus was suffering when he cried out why have you forsaken me.

Our sins where not placed upon him. The bible says he bor the sins of the world upon his shoulders.

The bible doesn't say he went to the cross and said why have you made me punishment for sin.

Or the bible does not indicate when Jesus said why have you forsaken me Jesus ment why have you punished me..

Jesus went to cross to beat deaths sting hold on sin to grant repentance for sin.

How woudl you deal with -

Matthew 9:13
13 But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy, not sacrifice For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

I have no idea again what answer your looking for because you have not explained your understanding of this scripture.

God was no longer wanting sacrifice of animals but compassion for one another.

Mercy means to have compassion,
Even when you say Thankyou, you can be showing compassion well at least if you speak French that is.
Obviously English mercy is forgiving each other but it's also gratitude

So I would be thankful and full of mercy that God's atoning sacrifice the blood of Jesus put an end to animal sacrifice to,

But if your tying this scripture to another meaning please explain,
Because at this point I can't see any, and as I'm so busy so please feel free to lead

Yes - but Matthew 9:13 says 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice'
To whom is that directed? Was Jesus not an atoning sacrifice? Who
came to Earth specifically to give His life as a ransom for many?

He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Matthew 9:13 ~ I desire mercy, not sacrifice.

Exactly what I was thinking and about to write. There remains no sacrifice for sin, since Jesus' has been fully accepted as wholy sufficient once and for all.

Purposed from before the foundation of the world, no less! .:D

Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this
hour’? No, it is for this purpose that I have come to this hour.

Matt 9:13a . . But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy, not
sacrifice.

In order to comply with Jesus' instructions; it's necessary to go back
into the Old Testament.

Hos 6:4-6 . .What can I do with you, Ephraim? What can I do with you,
Judah? Your love is like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears.
Therefore I cut you in pieces with my prophets, I slaughtered you with the
words of my mouth; My judgments flashed like lightning upon you. For I
desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt
offerings.

Some folks have actually attempted to repeal the entire God-given book of
Leviticus with that verse. But that's not it.

In a nutshell; those folks in Hosea's day were attempting to compensate for
their lack of the milk of human kindness with rituals.

Matt 9:13b . . for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to
repentance.

The sinners in that instance were Israel's elite: the Pharisees. They were
religious to the bone-- they offered all the required sacrifices, they observed
all the holy days of obligation, they paid their tithes and Temple taxes, and
cooled their heels during the sabbath day. But they were sorely lacking in
virtues like sympathy, kindness, forgiveness, generosity, courtesy, and
compassion.

To put that in modern context: there are Christians at large so far out of
compliance with Matt 7:12 that they'd honestly be better off spending
Sunday morning with a televised football game rather than insulting God
with their presence in church.

Mic 6:8 . . He has told you, O man, what is good-- and what does The Lord
require of you but to love kindness.

When Jesus was on the cross (and maybe before) did He take the punishment for our sins?

"God hath made Jesus.......to be sin.......for us".

"Jesus is the ONE TIME......ETERNAL........SACRIFICE........for sin".

1. what caused Jesus to CRY out when he hung on the cross

2. What kind of death did Adam suffer the moment he sinned, the same death that we must be born again from. as we are dead in adam.
I guess the real question about Adam, was how old was he when he and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. We know he died at the age of 930. If we look at "millenniums" (the first of 7 millenniums, which are actually 980 years each = 49 x 20) we find Adam did die "in the day that he did eat". But his flesh did not die yet. There were children to be born and the ground to till as their punishment.
