Do plants work?

Plants are not conscious, breathing creatures like the rest of God's creation. What you claim is similar to animism where people worship God's creation and yet ignore God who created those things. Whoa. No sir Brother, I'm not into any new age crap or aminism (Lol) or whatever you said, no cults, occults or anything but our Lord Jesus the Christ! But let's not limit God about anything, if He can create an oxygen breathing life form which exhales carbon dioxide, then He can make a different life form that breaths carbon dioxide and exhales oxygen! Get charged with murder for eating fruit off of a Tree? ! What if the trees purpose is to be food for others? Maybe the tree would feel insulted and unfulfilled if people did not eat it's fruit?

Our world is corrupted, so our flowers don't sing that we can hear.
But it is rumored that flowers sing in heaven...they sounded credible to me Brother.
 
As far as I have been able to glean from the Word, all living creation is kept living by the breath of God When He takes His breath back to Himself, the creature will expire, This applies to all animal life, and now that it has been brought to the fore, I suppose to all plant life.
Our Father is eternal so that breath coming back to Him is also.

I clarify that iron and copper do not have spirits.

No, plants do not work in the sense that humans work. They do not have a soul. They function according to the amazing mechanisms that God created in them.

You can't murder a tree but if you cut one down that's protected or a landmark there will be consequences.
Proverbs 23:10 and Proverbs 22:28

Don't be silly about grass. Cutting grass does not violate its rights. It's just trimming it, it will grow back.

Scientists attribute near human qualities to plants just as the Bible does. Trees clap their hands. Rocks cry out.

I'm not troubled by scientists. Why would I be? If David Attenbourough can investigate the Private Life of Plants so can we. Doesn't mean he worships at the shrine of Darwin, who has been debunked anyway. Some of the things Darwin believed were stupid, and got made into.an ideology. Eugenics, anyone? Not to mention wrong.

Um, think you ought to study a thing called PHOTOSYNTHESIS to understand how plants breathe.
 
Also...mangroves. Have very interesting breathing apparatus, called pneumatophores.

I don't have a science degree, but you can easily study this for yourself. Observe nature, do some time lapse photography, grow a garden.

We are made from dust (dust of the earth)
Trees are important in the Bible. There is the tree of life, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Why a tree? God knows.
Rocks are also symbolic in the Bible. Peter was named a rock.

I live in New Zealand where we try our best to respect nature. It's not worshipped. We live on the land. If we didn't we would just be living underwater and while Jacques Costeau tried that I don't think heaps of people will be doing that anytime soon.

But if you want to air racist viewpoints well, what can I say. Glad I am not you. Is there any point to this thread except to complain that some other people in your country are not christians? What a surprise...has that not ever happened before???

He didn't destroy the olive tree. Because that's what the dove bought back.
Also, in Revelation, there are olive trees, and a special tree that has twelve different fruits grafted into one tree, and there are also leaves for healing.

I suspect they may be Eucalyptus as well as Olive. Trees are important to God.

I have been to Australia and know a bit about trees there. You need them! Your land is so dry, that any trees that survive have to be hardy.
 
Oh One tree Hill
If you live in Auckland you know what happened to One Tree Hill.

Also, some trees are protected, because they are old and well loved, and they are called Heritage Trees. Also trees remove air pollution. Ask anyone who lives in London what the Plane trees did.

Yes. They don't go so well in urban and suburban areas. Most people live where there is a reasonable amount of rain. Eucalypts burn fiercely, so are a danger in the fire season. They are inclined to drop branches when under stress, such as in dry periods or strong winds. Some of those branches are heavy and dangerous. I had one fall on my house several years ago. It did only light damage, but it was inches away from a large window. The gutter was damaged and some of the roof tiles.

We have some wonderful forests, including the massive mountain ash. They are also in cooler and damper areas. Australia is much more than red dirt and beaches, as you know.

Doesn't mean their feelings should be hurt when men handle them in the ways God intends.
